Hello. I have reviewed your Laudate app through Google play, but to date, none of the obvious major issues with this app have been corrected. My first problem is with multiple patronage of a saint with the same profession listed as different professions - "lawyer", "attorney", "barrister". Also, there are multiple patronages of someone's station in life - "school students", "students", "school children". Theses are all redundant & unnecessary & it needs to be corrected. The second major issue is no listing for a "Saint of the Day" for any Saturday - the default skips Saturday & goes right to Sunday's saint. This is obviously a major problem as my family has to go to another app in order to discuss the Saturday "Saint of the Day". Please correct these issues as soon as possible. You are billed as the "#1 Catholic app, & while your app does have many perks, the lack of a Saturday saint is completely mystifying. Thank you.

Very sorry to see Kamela Harris is highly regarded by your publication. She has constantly supported ABORTION . Is the "d" behind her name all that is important? I will be stopping my app.

I am a Pro-Life, Catholic Christian. Kamala Harris is none of the above. She supports the murder of innocent children. I’m offended her name is mentioned as a potential Saint and within the Reflection. Please remove that message. I will however continue to pray for her guidance and conversion.

I have reached out as well regarding the listing of Kamela Harris and have yet to hear back.

Very sorry to see Kamala Harris name mentioned in this app. I thought it was a Christian app . Sorry to say I will spread this message to all . As it is in this world I. Or fellow Catholics do not need to listen nor read any evil . Especially when this woman’s name was mentioned by St Mother Teresa and it especially our Blessed Burgin Mary Our Mother! I will pray you will not go down a bad or evil direction . Another app deleted

Very upset at Kamala Harris name being placed in the readings for January 27th. Curious why you would list a staunch supporter of abortion rights alongside actual saints on a Catholic site? Perhaps you need to have better supervision of who is doing your writing, as you have now alienated quite a few women.

Hi - while I celebrate the advancements women have made in history, which certainly are in part due to St Angela's contributions, I wonder about placing more recent female examples off 'success' alongside those of canonized saints, whose contributions are not just potential, but verified. I pray that all those listed (who are not canonized) would take into consideration how a CHRISTIAN woman who is educated in the faith can contribute to the world and make a better life for ALL those within their care, including those who have no voice such as the unborn.

Are you partners with the Seekfirstcommunity.com? You appear to pull a lot of your daily prayers and reflections from this site, and I’m wondering is you’re aware of a statement they made today. “For those who choose to delete the Laudate app, we regret to see you go.” Is this your statement on this? After we express outrage over a pro-abortion women being listed with Saints, you tell us that you regret to see us go? Do you even know the person who is running the seekfirstcommunity.com blog you pull content from? Are you aware of the awful and anti-Catholic rhetoric they used to double down when they were wrong?

On January 27th you listed Kamala Harris alongside Saints - Kamala Harris is a known supporter of abortion and planned parenthood. Who writes your content????? Deleting the app

Regarding the write up on the feast of St. Angela d’Medici on January: I am mystified by the women named as the fruit of of St. Angela’s ministry to education of women in their faith is include Kamala Harris and Angela Markel. I see no evidence that either of these women are well formed in the Catholic faith. St Angela was a religious educator. She was concerned about lack of religious education in young women Also Teresa Avila was born before Angela d’merici by 25 years in a different country. How was she part of the fruits of st Angela’s labor? This is very disappointing! Where are the writers of the saint stories getting their information. It is not in historical fact. I deleted my app

Recently on a reflection there was a reference to Saints and Kamala Harris was included in the list. Can you comment why she is included? It was on Wed. Jan 27. Thank you.

Not a reliable Catholic reference

Laudate looks like a great scriptural resource but there are hidden errors. For one it scrapes the text for Liturgy of the Hours from the Universalis web site without giving due credit or explanation. Even removing identification notice from the Universalis page. Far worse, Laudate uses text from an unreliable Blog page for commentary on the Daily Readings of Sacred Scripture. There have been several instances of the Blogger inserting accolades to famous politicians and celebrities under the guise of being “fruits” of the works of some Saint. But these noted persons are not Catholic, do not lead exemplary lives and in fact many of them are immoral, atheists, and support abortion. Who is this Blogger? They are not identified in their Blog site. No indication of their religious affiliation, qualifications for scriptural commentary nor which parish or organization they are affiliated with, if any. This pattern of errors and lack of transparency and authority is a grave danger to those seeking a resource for learning about and worshipping with the true Catholic faith. Please use Universalis app or web page directly or many other apps such as iBreviary that use reliable Catholic sources. And they will clearly identify those sources and give due credit and/or permissions.

Misaligned with Catholic Church teachings

I used to love this app and have now deleted it. The content in the daily Bible verse comes from SeekFirst which is just one person’s blog site. No information provided on it who the blogger is, their affiliation with any Catholic community or scriptural authority. Out of all the amazing resources for scriptural commentary Laudate chose this blog?! It is a great app but sadly corrupt on its resources. I did verify in the app for Jan 27 they say the fruits of this saint’s works are Angela Merkel (East German so likely atheist), Margaret Thatcher (Protestant), Kamala Harris (promiscuous very supportive of abortion). Teresa of Avila is thrown in there. Since they were contemporaries but separated by distance (Spain and Italy) I doubt Saint Angela Merici had much impact on Saint Teresa forging her way in the Church. Saint Teresa was a force of her own nature subjugated to the will of God. When contacted for comment Laudate has not expressed or shown any change to vet resources and content to be aligned with Catholic Church teaching except for a bland “for those that choose to delete the app were sad to see you go” and a wishy washy message of needing to unite. They simply are uniting with the wrong ways and thinking and a gross misrepresentation of the Catholic Church.

Used to love it but now weary

I used to love this app so much and in truth I still do. I used it daily! That is until I read the daily bible verse reflection from “seek first community” one day, and it was comparing bill gates to God, likening him to God himself, a man who says he is an atheist and doesn’t believe in God, and supports abortion as well. I looked on the seek first community page and it’s AWFUL- the responses to complaints were completely out of line and not at all christian-like. I want to use the Laudate app but do not want any content from “seek first community”. So I deleted the app and most people I know did as well, when they saw this. I want to put it back on my phone and use it again! Please please cut ties with “seek first community”.
