This is a great game.
The only issue with this game is the number of people that play a hacked version of this game so, don't be surprised that your opponent is able to go through walls, go hyper-space or seems to be impervious to your weapons.
Since the game has been consistently asking me to rate this game again ....nothing much has changed outside a few modifications here and there .......the game remains hacked ....nevertheless still a fun game. Things have not changed since my last review. And despite what Pagea says, I still stand by my contention that this game is hacked in many situations I see opponents go through walls even the Deck-floor leaving but their shadow behind and reappearing .... out of nowhere that’s not poor network connection… that’s game manipulation in one form or another.

I used to play Air Wings all the time, but participation waned significantly so there was no one to play with. So, I stopped playing and deleted AirWings . I was happy to see it recommended again recently and it seemed there was some current activity, so I decided to download it. Unfortunately, I’ve been unable to connect with any players so the game is useless. Playing the tutorial over and over again isn’t worth the download.

If you get good at this they will sabotage you & ensure you lose. They call it “making it challenging” where as in the real world it’s called sabotage.

Also, they claim there’s not “hacked version” while CLEARLY there are several players that do play a “hacked” version. They disappear & reappear, they get hit over & over & nothing happens.

Don’t bother contacting them to get help because they are perfect & divine & the fault is absolutely NEVER theirs but it’s the players fault, the device’s fault, Apple’s fault, Game Center’s fault, local pizzeria’s fault, the sun’s fault for being bright, but NEVER, EVER pangea’s fault. E. V. E. R. !!!

It used to be fun when hundreds of people were playing worldwide. Now it’s just a bummer. All it needs is a small update:
Allow me to simply request a game with a friend through game center. I can rematch someone but I literally can’t just choose a game against my son in the same room as me.
Secondly, it would also be fun to just play against the computer. I can do training mode but there is no competition there because you don’t die. Give us a game against AI so we are not depending on the other 10 players in the world to play against.

It doesn't have much to it the tutorial is just flying around shooting at other planes that don't fight back and are going in a continuous pattern and you can't get any other planes unless you buy them the multiplayer is bad it takes forever to get 1 person to join a game and if they do their either the best player in the game or they just leave two seconds afterthought starts I have it a two star because it could be a good game

Air Wings is fun to play WHEN AirWings ACTUALLY WORKS. Unfortunately error messages pop up nearly all the time when trying to load a game. This means you spend most of your time frustrated, turning your phone off and on, hoping maybe it will work next time. You spend an hour dealing with errors, then you get two or three games in a row, then another hour of errors. I know Apple has changed Game Center, but reviews mentioning this problem go back a long time. I bought the upgrade for this game, but that hasn’t helped. Come on, developer...

This game was awesome me and my family and friends played this game a this game actually got more fun than Minecraft but then an update came and it was a frustrating causing game u had to send a message to someone which I thought was a little weird not only that, it didn't work it would load and load and load and load and load until it would say error or we just gave up so if I were u I'd go for some other game at least until they change it back to the way it was...

I am now not allowed to play air wings as often because of the ads. It is so annoying. Why can’t you get rid of the ads, or at least make them (ALL OF THEM) kid-appropriate. The game in general is great but sometimes it gets laggy. I put a two star because the ads are just annoying and not kid friendly.

Edit: nvm the ads are fine but they are still annoying and some of them are not kid appropriate.

Would be a lot of fun if it didn’t crash constantly! The last couple weeks I think I might have been able to play 2 out of 20 times. I think it would be FiveStars otherwise. Hope they can get it together.
As far as the game itself, I would really like to be able to choose what area you play in.
Reinstalled it, less crashes, but disconnects from Game Center pretty often.

Well I absolutely freakin love this game, I bought the whole thing when it came out, but I don’t play it now. With my job and schedule, I hardly have alone time so can’t focus on multiplayer since you can’t pause. Devs should think about Player VS Computer mode. Difficulty Added. I know practice mode has planes but on only very few maps, not all, plus they don’t shoot back on Practice mode.

Also, have like Tasks and/or campaign or some sort of goals to achieve because it feels pointless to play at the moment.

I really like this game. I think using everyday items like pencils and paper clips for ammo is very creative. There is one thing I would like to see added to the game. It’s great to go online and battle other players but you can’t always find some one to play. Being able to battle against the computer say in practice mode would bring the game to the next level. Then I would give it 5 stars.

I love this game. This was my first game I played . But when my iPad cracked I could not play for a year, when my new iPad came I forgot about the game, the first time I played it was when I was 3 or 4 it’s been 7 years I forgot about the game but now I feel like I am young again just missing updates overall love the game.

I used to play this game all the time about a year ago, when new games started coming out I faded away from it just for the sake of there not being any new updates coming out, but I believe if you made some more tweaks here and there you could make it go way more popular ASAP. I think there could be more maps for 1, and add more lives than just 3 in multiplayer, and improve the match making. Another thing is adding more weapons to the game, more ability to the planes! I hope you “the developer” might indeed read this and if so you have an awesome game, but it could be so much more awesome!!! Great job! Thank you

I would give it five stars, but today I brought the plane pack where you get all the planes, and it didn't give me all of them. To AirWings creators could you please fix the problem as soon as you can because I spent money for the pack and if you don't fix it I should get a refund.

This game is really good all around and I really enjoy it, but I do find it hard to connect and play with another person even if they are right next to me. Also I think there should be a local play where the CPU's actually attack you and don't move around in the same loop the whole time. If you fix those problem I will definitely give this game 5 stars!

It’s one of a kind and the multiplayers great if you could actually unlock a few other planes without buying them it would be even better and if you had more options for controls I know it has the tilt thing but if you just and a joystick button that would be great great game one of the best I have ever played

This is a fun game. I recommend it for everyone. The newest updates have made it more difficult to even play. Trying to match 4 players by default means that you rarely get to play anymore. I do not like 4 player matches and prefer one on one play. But you cannot select that anymore.

I like the game a lot. The controls work very well and the game is very well designed with excellent graphics. Only issue is you can’t play multiplayer on the Apple TV. Multiplayer works fine on my iPad but can’t play a game on my Apple TV. Also the darts don’t do any damage in tutorial mode.

If multiplayers worked for the Apple TV it would definitely be a 5 star.

Edit, multiplayer is now working for the Apple TV, raised my rating to 5 stars

Yep it works again very well. This game allows you to meet people around the world and make new friends you can kill.
Nothing like a hard fought dogfight between paper airplanes shooting rubber bands and spitballs ending in victory. Lots of opportunities for fun even when the networks won't cooperate.

It's funny that there are so many people who claim hacks or cheating when they lose. It's a game of strategy and skill. Either you have it, or you don't. There are no rules to this game other than to WIN. Spawn kill to win. Dodge to win. Set traps to win. Collect coins to up your health and ammo capacity to win. Winning is the only goal. Those of us who play to win are having a blast against those who just can't seem to figure it out. The best part are the comments they leave when they get mad.
