Was in the market for a car and wanted vehicle history report. As with all good car deals, they don’t last long, so I needed the report ASAP. I purchased 5 reports for $85. Money was withdrawn immediately but I didn’t have access to reports right away. I emailed customer support to see what the hold-up was. Not only did it take them a week to respond, which I think is unreasonable for customer support, but the reports weren’t accessible for an entire week too. Had to rely on Autochek instead, which provided immediate access to reports. Purchased a car after using Autochek and no longer needed CARFAX, but now I can’t get refunded for the $85 because Apple has identified CARFAX report purchases as a non-refundable purchase. Seems quite convenient for CARFAX. Very disappointed that CARFAX can’t do more to refund my money. Therefore I can not recommend their services and will be going with Autochek in the future.

I purchased a report and the app gave me an error without ever delivering the report and directed me to the area in the app to submit feedback. I submitted feedback and it indicated they would reply soon. After 3 business days and 3 follow ups there were no responses. I submitted for a refund from Apple but they won’t refund in app purchases for this app. I went to CARFAX’s website and submitted for a refund but they claim it is Apple’s responsibility to issue refunds for in app purchases. I’m out $40 and got nothing for it. Don’t use this app.
Update: after 5 days I finally got responses from the app and they refuse to refund but will manually run a report for me. Since I already bought a car this is useless to me. Still out $40 and got nothing for it but bad customer service. Still don’t use this app.

I’m in the middle of selling my car and it was brought to my attention that carfax is reporting an accident on my car. My vehicle has never been in an accident. This blemish is hindering the sale of my vehicle, the buyer is backing out due to the inaccuracies of Carfax. I have reached out to carfax via their guidelines online for almost a week now. I have not received any Correspondence. The customer service for this company is horrible and for them to not have a customer service number that goes to show they are not in the business of dealing with discrepancies caused by them. Has this happen to anyone else? Do we need to contact counsel and start a class action law suit?
