Convert Any Unit Lite Reviews

I’ve had ConvertAnyUnitLite for over 5 years and have used the currency in multiple countries (e.g. China, Mexico, Canada, Italy, Ireland, etc). I also used ConvertAnyUnitLite mainly to convert units of measurement while cooking. Now, I find out that even though I have been a loyal user across many years, I am stuck watching ads before I can even select a unit of conversion. I don’t mind an occasional ad banner or two, but when you’re traveling to areas with low poor connection, it makes a world of difference. It is also frustrating to know that the privileges I had a free member are now available for a price in ConvertAnyUnitLite Store, since it is now required to pay to go beyond the “Lite” version. I had ConvertAnyUnitLite before there was a Lite version, and have been a loyal user through many changes and updates. This is not a good way to retain users, and frankly, I’m not sure I want ConvertAnyUnitLite anymore. This has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Having to watch a short ad before using a free app is fair enough. But, the ads have been growing longer and more annoying. Today, the last straw: There is no “X” at the corner or other way to shut off the ad. It just keeps repeating. I guess that’s supposed to force me to buy the ad-less version.

It’s just a units converter, and there are dozens of others to choose from. I’m outa here!

(I expect a reply from the developer that states nothing has changed.)

Every single thing I do on phone, every app I use is recorded with 40 - 50 tracking data points (cookies) put on phone for tracking compilation. Most are 3rd party trackers.
This is a huge problem!
And this does not happen by mistake. Please check your privacy data being collected by your apps. This was even recorded data on my photos and messages!

UPDATE: I’ve had enough. Deleting ConvertAnyUnitLite because of the massive increase in advertising.
I have used ConvertAnyUnitLite for a couple years to convert measurements for the installation manuals I produce. While using it today, I’ve noticed a huge increase in advertising that covers the entire app, some of which cannot be closed for a period of time. Look, I get that this is the lite version and advertising is the way you make money. But there’s a tipping point. If this level of advertising continues, I will drop my rating to 1 star. I will delete ConvertAnyUnitLite and find something else. That may be a paid app, but it won’t be yours.

While very through with almost every possible unit of measure to choose from, even the “Lite” version........ it suffers from the dreaded over complication and awkwardness typical when a software or app developer tries to provide too many choices that most people will never use, and clutters things up that affects general usability in the long run. There it is in one sentence!

I use ConvertAnyUnitLite all the time and I've yet to find a unit it does not have. I constantly need to convert weight, length and volume to and from metric in the shop and ConvertAnyUnitLite does it all. Add to this the currency conversions ..... can't praise ConvertAnyUnitLite enough.

Update: Two years later and ConvertAnyUnitLite is even better. Haven’t found a unit it doesn’t include yet and I should add that the ads in the lite version are the most non-intrusive of any app I’ve ever used.

I really can’t think of any way in which it could be improved.

Quick and easy to use if you know where to go. Find your measurement tap in the numbers and get the conversion it’s that simple. The only problem is if you don’t know what category your measurements falls under it’s a little time consuming. Other than that Great job !!

I got ConvertAnyUnitLite after my other conversation app stopped working, now, I am actually glad that the old one stopped working, I love that it works offline and it even allows for custom units, as someone who does alot of math, being able to not have to think about changing from degrees to cardinal directions is great.

I’ve been using ConvertAnyUnitLite for years now, and it has been extremely useful.

Very simple to use. you do get advertisements every now and again, which is a bit annoying, but a fact of life for a free app!

I am not the most tech savvy person and to say ConvertAnyUnitLite is a breeze is major praise. My sister is even more technologically challenged and she loves ConvertAnyUnitLite. It works without wifi and that is very helpful. I try to remember to update ConvertAnyUnitLite when I am around wifi so the currency converter is accurate.

I have been using ConvertAnyUnitLite for many years and, while it gets the job done, it hasn’t been memorable, until now. Yes, I would have given it five stars before now, because it does what I need it to do (don’t like the ads, but it’s lite. What can ya do?). Tonight I went in to covert and was thinking I wish I could remember the formula (yes, I am a math geek) and there it was! Right there on the screen! Swoon!! ❤️ An app after my own heart!!!

Sometimes I have to re-invent the process to change units. It’s not too intuitive how to find the unit you’re looking for.

The instruction from the Developer was the key. I believe this tip will make a comprehensive app much easier to use. I revised my initial 3 star rating to 5 stars, in part because of the quick Developer response.

In my hobby I go back and forth between millimeters and inches all the time when designing layouts. Once I have the units of measurement set up (takes 10 seconds) ConvertAnyUnitLite makes these conversions -so- easy! With the calculator app icon right next to this icon on my phone screen I can have my layout dimensions designed in just a moment.

I like the many options that a user has with a simple look and feel last but not least its a free app!

When I downloaded ConvertAnyUnitLite I noticed that there was a problem when tried to choose any unit to make it favorite, so I wrote a review and immediately the developer proceeded to fix it, I have just tried it again and works perfectly. Thanks.

I've been using ConvertAnyUnitLite for both work & hobby. I am truly amazed at how easy ConvertAnyUnitLite is to use. Everything from metric to standard , money types, distances , even things like BTUs to watts! Things you didn't know you needed. Get this and Play.

I use ConvertAnyUnitLite often when I shop for certain recipes for a cooking class. Often times the measurement is in cups but the serving size is by tablespoon. I can easily convert while shopping. Very handy.

I tried out a few unit conversion apps and this was the best one. I love how it lets you type in the unit you want and it automatically starts finding the units you might be looking for.

Very handy as so many measures are only shown in one method when the other is needed. Example had a scoop measure that shows cc only but needed to know oz
Quickly gave me conversion amount .
Use it frequently.

This used to be an excellent app but now is degraded with too many within app advertisements making ConvertAnyUnitLite very difficult and not user friendly to use.
