Doesn't remember progress

Every time you launch the app you have to select issue and are dropped on first page of it. Also has an additional ad bar on top, even tho I have a paid subscription. The top bar is clumsy.

Much needed

So, for the most part, this works just the same as the non-newsstand version. It's clunky and slow. However, this version also allows you to view the articles as a mobile version. The text can now be enlarged so you don't need a microscope. Bookmarks finally work. There is now a search function. Very worth it, but still needs some tweaking.

Not well thought out

Contents are terrific, but that's as far as I'll go on its good points. Why would they take up valuable real estate with an add for their subscriptions? I'm already a subscriber and their banner takes up almost 20% and never goes away! One would think that the table of contents would be easy to get to. They have chosen to keep if off of their topics list which means I need to select another topic and page through the magazine until I've reached it. I'm starting to believe that this, and other omissions are strategic where advertisers gain an advantage on frequently seen pages. To the editors: this publication is for us musicians. You already make your profits on ads. There is no need to punish readers with a poorly written app.
