You HAVE to start the trial before you can even use DrumMachine.

The bot known as ‘Alice’ will respond to all of your queries by saying that you just have to cancel the subscription and you can use the free trial but ‘Alice’ is wrong.

There is no free trial. Unless you subscribe to DrumMachine you can’t use it. That is it and when ‘Alice’ says you can use a free limited version it’s not true. I don’t even know how they could possibly get a 4.2 rating when you read all of the poor reviews.

I don’t know why this is app is exactly the same as Drummy. The interface and the icon are almost identical. Drummy was a very limited drum machine app that was $.99. I don’t know if it’s still on DrumMachine Store or not but it’s really bizarre that the Drummy app had the exact same logo and interface as DrumMachine which came after that app and could possibly have the same coding person or people coding for it but there is nothing worth a subscription on either apps. Maybe $1.99 plus a few .99 in apps and that is it.

I would expect MORE from this company. I mean Phase and Mixfader? Those are fabulous pieces of hardware.

I have a Mixfader on one of a few of my portable turntables. It is mind boggling that a company this cool would price gouge.

Sad is the only way to describe DrumMachine with or without a subscription..

I downloaded it simply because I saw an ad for a FREE app. I didn’t even get to choose a plan, otherwise I wouldn’t have downloaded it at all, so now I’m out 80 bucks because instead of putting the FREE limited access app in advertisements, you fun lovely people called developers show the FULL subscription required app to people. Thanks for nothing. And besides, I didn’t even use this thing once and I’m glad because even garage has better options and this is a waste of an app if you ask me. I would ask for a refund but developers don’t seem to think that they should pay people back when their app does something that wasn’t selected or agreed to really.

This game is NOT cooperative, y’all tryna charge me to make beats??? Ooh heck naaahh, these ain’t even goin’ viral or nothing, there ain’t no prize for the best beat. So why am I paying??😤I got this game because I’ve always had an interest in drumming and making cool beats so I thought this would be a fun game for someone with my interest. And don’t even get me started on the trouble I went through to just START the game. First off, the game was glitching nonstop and was late to all the beats like it was some poor connection on FaceTime, like the audio was so late! I understand y’all gotta make money but this ain’t even some advanced crap, it’s just tap on a block to bake noise.🙄 I canceled my subscription but....... WHY DID I HAVE ONE IN THE FIRST PLACE????

I saw an ad for DrumMachine and thought “maybe DrumMachine won’t be as bad as the other ones” but no! It’s even worse! I can’t even use DrumMachine at all, it goes to a screen showing a subscription plan and how much it is. It was only $8 but I wanted to see how DrumMachine works before I pay, I looked all over the screen for a way to not have to buy the subscription but nothing was found. The only way you can actually USE DrumMachine is by paying, you might as well have DrumMachine be $8 in DrumMachine Store.

I downloaded DrumMachine and was not asked if I wanted to pay for a subscription nor was information on a subscription communicated to me...that is until I got an email stating I was charged $8 A WEEK for DrumMachine . Outrageous. There are no settings in DrumMachine and the “help” feature takes you to a pointless page full of legal jargon that covers the company’s bases in justifying the immediate subscription. Subscribing people to a service without giving them notice and an easy was to opt not to is hardly “giving customers the choice to subscribe or not”

at the start of DrumMachine , they literally just try to force you to buy their subscription. the only way to use DrumMachine is to buy the subscription, theres no other way. unless you do their free trial and turn off auto renew, they probably have their way to still charge you. the fact you're not even given a choice to buy the subscription or not, just shows the kind of people behind DrumMachine. you literally can NOT use DrumMachine unless you do something about the subscription

Hey devs. You ever think about the fact that your time is not worth what you think it is? Change your pricing structure. It’s cool but I’m deleting it now before I forget and you rob me for fruity loops quality software. This should be an 4.99 buy it now with expansion packs. Go to business school and get it together. Everyone else go get novation launchpad for iPad or iPhone and thank me later..

Wasn’t the first app to claim to be free and being able to make your own beats, but once you get into DrumMachine , the only thing you can do is listen to a single pre-made beat, and press a few buttons to make sounds that don’t save, and are basically useless unless I guess you could screen record the beat that’s previously made? There literally isn’t any point in keeping this unless you wanna pay a weekly fee, which I wouldn’t even consider it to be worth.👌🏾

Hey Alice can you explain how to use DrumMachine without paying for it. Like some of the other users typed, you aren’t explaining how to use DrumMachine for free and that’s why we’re complaining. So if u can please explain how to use DrumMachine for free then that will be very much appreciated. Also if you don’t reply to me asking how to access your app for free but your still telling others that we can use DrumMachine for free then just take down DrumMachine or make it so we have to pay to download DrumMachine

You can’t use DrumMachine without starting the “free” trial... that automatically starts to charge a subscription UNLESS YOU CANCEL.

Updated 5/18: The developer’s replies insisting that it’s possible to use DrumMachine without starting the “optional” trial are patently ABSURD. Start DrumMachine ... there are a few needless screens of marketing garbage (aka “onboarding”) followed by a SINGLE BUTTON that says start trial. There is no way to skip that. Maybe “optional” means something else? I can’t tell if the developers are being obtuse on purpose or if they are entirely clueless.

This game is not as good as i thought. This is a waste of money and time. Even the drumpad is not working. Dont buy DrumMachine. You can find so much apps that are better than this. So please dont get me wrong but you need to fix it because i just wanted to try it and i wasted money. This is not good. As all of people are saying on the review i just tried it. So this game or whatever this is , is a waste of money and time.

So when I downloaded the game it’s like “free game, great beat maker” and I’m like yes this must be good. So when I download DrumMachine it’s tells you about DrumMachine and, then you can’t access DrumMachine without, buying something? $70 for a beat maker that I literally can make at HOME for FREE. This is really disappointing. I would recommend not getting this because, it is just a waste of time unless you’re crazy and wanna pay $70 for this. Thanks for nothing.

I downloaded DrumMachine of an ad from instagram and it said it was free so i opened DrumMachine and it told me there was a 7day free trial but it made me choose a plan and i chose the year plan which is about 79 dollars and i used it only for that day but then i deleted DrumMachine but forgot to cancel my plan thinking that it cancels when i deleted DrumMachine and it charged me the money and i haven’t used DrumMachine anymore and i need my money back so please contact me

I downloaded DrumMachine for an easy beat sequencer to mess around with on-the-go. I downloaded it opened it for a second, closed it, and went about my night. The next day I noticed my battery was significantly worse on my 11 pro. Odd. So I look at the battery info. DrumMachine had 2 minutes of screen-on-time, 18 hours and 40 minutes of background activity. Um... No.

Total cash-grab. No way to get past the premium-access page. The dev responses to the reviews weren’t even helpful. Total garbage, and the devs won’t even respond to this problem. Looks like they still want to play dumb, and not fix their app. Hope DrumMachine does out forever. If I could, I would’ve rated this negative, but alas, Apple Store doesn’t want anyone ruining people’s apps, but in a way 1 out of 5 is a negative 4.

I downloaded DrumMachine bc it was free, but once you come in you have to pay. This really annoyed me. Also your Instagram ads, why does it say “ DrumMachine will ruin your life” I don’t think that’s a good idea, i checked the comments and people were saying “ok it this is going to ruin my life then I won’t download it” so yeah that’s just a tip. I don’t recommend saying that.

DrumMachine is an absolute scam. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. Immediately on opening the “free app”, it started a weekly subscription without being authorized. It asks for a fingerprint ID to start the subscription, and I hit cancel but it started the subscription anyway. This garbage should be pulled from DrumMachine Store. I have reported the scam to Apple and will be reporting it to the Attorney General’s office. The developers should be ashamed of themselves.

Really fun and easy, it is good for beginners and people who just want to have ruin when they are making music. Not that many adds either.

Look DrumMachine looks and sounds amazing but I am having some trouble canceling my subscription please send a link to cancel subscription

Apple. The company that won’t allow demos on the store because of “integrity.”

This is literally $7.49 a *week,* friends. It’s barely worth $0.99 as a single, one off purchase.

The idea that this sort of app can masquerade as worthy of purchase, let alone evade “demo” or trial status, and then be suggested(!) by Apple itself is abhorrent and disgusting. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

There are way better beat apps that you only need to pay once. There is no way this is worth the subscription.

It should be illegal to pull a free app, but NOT ALLOW unless they get you to sign up. Please don’t give me the YOU CAN CANCEL AT ANY TIME, crap. Why just not allow people to try an app with limited features? I hate to see developers get by with this crap... there are WAY TOO MANY good ‘FREE’ drum machines that offer AuV3 and midi, for ANYONE to pay for a beat machine. Ugh...

I tried everything and I can’t get into DrumMachine without seeing this advertisement for the Pro Membership and I’m not pay NOTHINGGGGG! It’s crazy cause you keep saying we could use it without pay but HOW!, like your not saying how Alice,, how do u use DrumMachine without paying you tell me Alice please inform me, walk me through it,, You know If I could I would tap ZERO stars cause it buggin the heck outta me!🤯😤
