4.3 out of 5
flaw in design that makes this unusable for us

We love this game very much. But we can’t use it due to one simple fact.
If the child touches the edge of the screen the game stops and child can access phone/tablet. This means that every 3 seconds I have to take my phone and put the game back on from the home screen, open tabs, pull down menus on iphones ect .
That gets old fast and has led to me erasing this game several time out of sheer fustration.
It would be amazing if this game could be like some other baby/toddler games that require a double tap or to touch particular areas of the screen to leave the game.

All of this series is buggy

There are bugs in all the TBD peek a zoo series. Tbd doesn't seem to care to fix them, they just want your money. In this one, my child can't touch the words 'Penguins' or Owls' and have the human repeat the word. This is disappointing to my baby. As a programmer, I don't understand how simple testing missed bugs that a 2 year old finds and cries over on first use.

Not much difference between Lite version

I downloaded the lite and enjoyed it. So I payed the $3.99 for the full version for the toddler I nanny. I expected quite a lot more animals than just 15. Some don’t even have the accurate animal noises. However, for $4 I feel like there should be more app. There is also no way to get your money back through the apple App Store. I’m very disappointed. I’m rating 2 stars because the toddler doesn’t seem to mind.

Needs some work

We have other similar aps from Peekaboo. AnimalsSounds does not even compare. My little guy and myself have a hard time figuring out how to move to the next animal. There is no consistency from animal to animal. Quality is average to below average in regards to graphics and other functions. At this time, unless there is a big update soon, would not recommend.

What am I paying for?

I feel like AnimalsSounds is much too basic to be anything more than 99 cents. It pretty much just 16 pictures of animals that make a small noise when you tap them. That's all. The picture res are nice, but you go through the animals quickly.

Like the foreign language option

I like that his app has the option for other languages. I would love, though, if they would add in the articles. I turn AnimalsSounds to French for my daughter and in French, nouns are never said without the article (I.e. la giraffe, le requin etc) this would make AnimalsSounds so much better as these are extremely important in most foreign languages which have gendered nouns!

Not as good

I had purchased peekaboo barn and liked it. This one doesn't have as many language options which is disappointing. We are trying to teach my son Chinese and it isn't available on this one.

Cute and simple

My 17 month old enjoys making the animals pop up. It keeps him entertained for quite a while. We love it and would love more animals please!

Zoo animals

This is cute and it keeps my little ones smiling, you should
Update it with more animals

Best peek-a-book app so far

Great art, simple approach, excellent for the very young (<2 years). Our 13 month old just loves it. The kids voices saying the names are a nice touch. Of course I wish there were more animals, but that is because they do such a great job with the ones provided. Highly recommended.

Love it!

Great app for babies. Love the design, art and sound. If sound does not work for you, go to settings and turn sound on. I prefer my sound on, and for the program to loop so that it starts over when done with all the animals. Are there any other apps like this one for babies to play with?

Great app!

My 18 month old LOVES AnimalsSounds. It's engaging and already after a week she's repeating most of the animals and their sounds. I hope they make a domestic/farm edition, we would buy that in a heartbeat to add to our collection! Several times a day my daughter asks for the "gunkies" (monkeys) and she sits through the whole zoo tour and loves every minute. Well worth every penny!

I love this app!

Although we now own several apps by TreeBetty, this one is still my favorite. My kids love the designs, the music, and the animal sounds. The peacock is especially wonderful!

So cute

We love AnimalsSounds! My niece is 27 months and will run through the animals and then pick the ones she want to do over!

Love it!

My 7 month old loves AnimalsSounds! He could be throwing a fit and I'll start AnimalsSounds and he'll instantly start smiling. Worth every penny!

Great for my 20 month old!

My 20 month old has learned all these animals and still enjoys see his favorites pop up on demand!

Our New favorite game

Great new game for the toddler set! Super fun, educational, and easy to play. Creative and colorful graphics and silly animal sounds. Keeps my daughter entertained while waiting on mom...

PeekaZoo

An excellent app for introducing toddlers to animals and their sounds.
The graphics are simple, clear and engaging. Easy navigation too.
This is the best peekaboo app I have found for my grandchildren.

One of my son's favorite apps

My son has been playing it for months and never seems to get tired of it!

Fab!

I bought this for our grand daughter when she was about 8 months old and she quickly developed the skill to make the animals appear and disappear.
