Love having public radio available for the phone...BUT it does not respond to clicks on programs available to see what’s being offered. For example, if I’m listening to a program but want to see what another featured is about, no clicks will open up the other program I’m interested in...not trying to listen to it, just want to see what it’s about. Website looks all messed up when you try to open new things; I just tried to subscribe to Look-Listen-Read; when I clicked on it, only half the page was showing so I couldn’t complete the “sign up for” action to get subscribed. Maybe I’ll delete StLouisPublicRadioApp & try reinstall. This is beyond aggravating.
Like others have said, I LOVE and support this station! It’s content is super! Increasingly StLouisPublicRadioApp is frustrating. Now it is not working on my new phone. I would agree with other complaints lodged in these reviews,
On my phone the button in the bottom of StLouisPublicRadioApp where I would play the station live, is too far off the screen to be functional. I can see a part of it, but it will not work. It was kind of like this on my older - an original iPhone SE - but it still functioned. On my new phone (12 mini) it is not working at all.
Thought I had struck gold with StLouisPublicRadioApp because you can stream both of the HD stations- 1 is Jazz 2 is Classical. Great when it works but it almost always turns itself off anywhere from 2-60 minutes after I start streaming on my iPhone 7s. Generally have it running at night when phone is plugged in for recharge so no issues with power consumption.
I love pubic radio!! Love the access to so much great content. StLouisPublicRadioApp, however, is just okay. When you pause a program, it often doesn’t restart when you press play. You have to close StLouisPublicRadioApp and restart in order to start the radio program again. It’s not ideal. Otherwise, great app!
Plays station feeds well. Like the pause and continue function. Don’t like that posted stories launch audio immediately, even when I just want to read a better description to see if I’m interested. Please let me choose to start the audio instead of needing to stop it after it starts.
I listen to STL public radio in the morning while getting ready for work. Would get a higher rating except for the tendency to stall, then repeat content until I either pause programming. In some cases I've needed to delete then reinstall StLouisPublicRadioApp . Oh, and all you others using StLouisPublicRadioApp for free, please consider becoming a sustaining member of the station.
Could use a better schedule for on-air programming. Right now you have to scroll sideways for a long time to see what is coming up later in the day. Would be nice to set notifications for programs on the schedule. The user interface chooses function over form; StLouisPublicRadioApp streams fairly well for long periods of time but it has the looks of an app written in 2009.
I listened for one hour this morning while I worked out. When I finished, battery power had dropped to 90%. I turned off StLouisPublicRadioApp and Bluetooth. Five hours later it’s down to 61% and Settings tells me the KWMU app has used 45% of it with “background activity”. How can I stop this? What turns it off?
My mom listens to this station via HD radio, so I got StLouisPublicRadioApp to listen from other states as I travel. It needs restarting frequently. The hosts and music choices are great.
I don’t use StLouisPublicRadioApp a lot, but if I miss part of a program, it’s nice to go back and listen. StLouisPublicRadioApp would be improved by a search function to search several show or dates.
While there is the very now and then bug (I still don’t believe that I am able to sign in properly), this is one app that I am sure to visit everyday. My favorite is the On Demand feature.
Access to local and regional bi-state news programs as well as to NPR national news programs. App is easy to use and thoughtfully laid out.
We love STL public radio and with StLouisPublicRadioApp it allows us to enjoy both the regular shows on NOR but also the classical side since we don't have an HD radio. Easy to use app. It's on the simple side graphically but very easy to use.
I appreciate having 24-7 access to my local station via app. There are always a lot of articles to scroll through for your reading or listening pleasure, too.
I use StLouisPublicRadioApp to stream STLPR throughout the day and it works flawlessly. Highly recommend to anyone interested in keeping up with local news.
I really like having public radio on my phone. The only thing I don’t like is how streaming does not continue after a short phone call. Other than that it works great.
Listening to a unbiased podcast that addresses all kinds of topics that I can relate too. Listening to speakers and authors encourages me to share my thoughts with my husband and purchase their books. I love that I can listen to the podcast on my own time when I can’t listen to the live show. The questions that the interviewer asks are right on point. I love the show and excerpts in my email.
Usually listen on my car radio where I’m reminded of StLouisPublicRadioApp - finally downloaded today & more variety than I expected plus exactly what I needed - background music for some crafting Thank you StL public radio!
I usually listen on the radio, but when out of town or no radio around this is great. Also the other info and the ability to look up old shows and pause the program are nice options.
StLouisPublicRadioApp keeps my driveway moments in storage for years. Even when I get a new phone. Once I login, my stored stories are available. Perfect companion app.
