Guide you into ASU

This mobile App is excellent! ArizonaStateUniversity provides an overall phone application for ASU students and non-ASU students and staff member. As a student in ASU, I used ArizonaStateUniversity a lot, especially access to My ASU page. It is really convenient. ArizonaStateUniversity is focusing on provide school information for people. I remember when I first time came to ASU 3years ago, I used ArizonaStateUniversity find builds, locations and another school things.
ArizonaStateUniversity's design is simple and easy to use. My ASU and Campus Map are my favorite, because I used them lots of time in daily life. In addition, ArizonaStateUniversity icon mainly use the school logo so people can easily recognize it. For people who are not familiar with ASU, it is easy for them to search and know the information about ASU easily. Nice App!

Daily health check nonfunctional

I downloaded this three years ago when I started at ASU. I’ve ignored it since; the only reason I downloaded it in the first place was to get the map function, and that was broken when I first got it (it’s still broken).

Now, students are required to do a daily health check (because ASU refuses to do the responsible thing and shift to online-only) at risk of campus services such as Canvas being cut off, and the service through which they must submit those health checks simply doesn’t work. ArizonaStateUniversity either white-screens, doesn’t permit login, or doesn’t let you start the health check once you’re logged in. The website version of the health check doesn’t progress to the second page of the questionnaire. Just once, I would appreciate a web application put together by ASU to function well.

The worst optimization I have ever seen from an app

There is no function to save your password to login easily. They now force you to use a third party 2 factor authenticator, and the function to save the device for 7 days so you don’t have to use it every time does not work in ArizonaStateUniversity . You have to sign in multiple times moving between Canvas and the my ASU homepage. I don’t believe they could have implemented the daily health check worse in any way. You have to click every day you aren’t going to be on campus to deselect or you get at least 5 emails a day to submit the health check before they reset your password (the most frustrating penalty they could have implemented). Nothing about the way ArizonaStateUniversity is optimized makes sense. Whoever is in charge of ArizonaStateUniversity needs to take a few of the ASU offered classes clearly.

Sick Screening Notification Broken

ASU not only emails you 3 times a day reminding you to do their screening, but now will reset your password every day you fail to open ArizonaStateUniversity to do their two question survey. The emails tell you that it’s possible to change the reminder to app notifications only. The setting does not work. So every day they send you 3 emails reminding you to do the survey, even if you completed the survey hours prior to their emails. ArizonaStateUniversity is exceptionally broken and slow when used for more than 5 minutes and will destroy your battery because of how unoptimized it is. It crashes and chugs like nobodies business on an iPhone X with no other apps running. Absolutely needs to be fixed. Absolutely unacceptable product to require for the largest Uni in the world.

As an alum, I only downloaded it for Sun Devil Rewards

I’m an ASU alum, but I really don’t have any use for the ASU app. I’ve been using the Sun Devil Rewards app since that launched, but that’s being phased out and folded in to this one. Fine, whatever. Just make sure the ASU app works, which it consistently does not. It often does not load at launch, the “My Info” button on the bottom does absolutely nothing, and the location thinks I’m 3 miles west of where I actually am. Here’s hoping they fix these issues with updates. For now, I’d hate to have to use this every day for school.

Broken

This is one of the most frustrating app experiences I’ve ever had. I have been trying for 3 weeks to just get push notifications and not email (because I don’t always have my computer open but I do have my phone). Have been going around and around with tech support at ASU. They are amazing and helpful—but ArizonaStateUniversity doesn’t work right!! On top of that the language around the check ins is sooo aggressive—“you are non compliant and your password is going to be reset”—really, ASU? All the double, triple work faculty and staff are doing to try to make things work for our students and you threaten them like this? I appreciate needing to track health, but ArizonaStateUniversity is just stressful and demoralizing.

Tempe Campus

ArizonaStateUniversity has come a long way in the past couple years. I believe the logo is fun and very recognizable for anybody that uses it. It clearly specify ASU which is great! I think it gives significant information on the things students need to know. It is a great app for current and future students to learn about their campus. I think ArizonaStateUniversity can be updated a little bit in organization on how to navigate it, but overall easy to use. The best part its free to download. My favorite thing about ArizonaStateUniversity is access to the campus map and updates on ASU sports. I use both all the.

health check only works in portrait mode on iPad

Thew new daily health check does not work on iPad in landscape format. The initial form that asks if one is working on campus and has "yes", "no", "next" buttons is cut-off above the "next" button when in landscape mode. One needs to turn to portrait mode to make the "next" button visible.

The form should resize/reflow or at least allow scrolling.

Otherwise, all basic functionality seems to be present. I am not really using ArizonaStateUniversity for anything but the mandatory daily health checks.

Extremely Slow

Being required to submit health checks on a daily basis is fine. What isn’t fine is having to wait such long periods of time for ArizonaStateUniversity to load. When I launch ArizonaStateUniversity , I’m brought to the “Loading User Data” page, and I’m forced to wait for a very long time - sometimes upwards of 20 minutes - for ArizonaStateUniversity to finally open so that I can do the health check. I have work to do. I don’t have time to babysit my phone in hopes that ArizonaStateUniversity loads. God forbid my phone screen shut off, because then the process starts over.

It’s a start...

But unfortunately ArizonaStateUniversity is not ready for prime time. My students report that their class schedules don’t appear correctly, leading to a lot of confusion. Also, the way-finding function in the map isn’t great. You can’t move the start or end points, so it’s impossible to plan ahead unless you’re actually already at your start point. The map overall is slow to load and sometimes crashes.

More testing was needed before this was rolled out to the community.

ASU

Overall there app is garbage. Randomly logs you out, map is glitchy, tickets are are glitchy, layout is TERRIBLE and confusing and on top of all of this ASU adds health check. I’m sorry ASU but your health checks are a bigger load of BS then your app. You forcing people to change passwords is NOT even going to help COVID. The only reason you did it is to act like you care about students when you don’t. If you cared about the health of students you wouldn’t have FORCED them to stay in the dorms. I have lost my respect for ASU. The only thing they care about is money. Not the health or wellbeing of students

Asu app

ArizonaStateUniversity is very useful. It allows you to search any building your classes are in. Tells you what the weather is like on campus. Provides you with a bunch of resources. Links you to the library, myasu account, blackboard and even the academic calendar. The best feature about ArizonaStateUniversity is once you log in with your Asu I’d it sets up your schedule automatically and sets you reminders for assignments. I highly recommend ArizonaStateUniversity to other ASU students.

Where is the accessibility for the blind?

I can’t take you anywhere, when I first downloaded ArizonaStateUniversity last month, there were a lot of accessibility issues to begin with, since I updated, I can’t click on a single item using voice over. I’m very frustrated with ArizonaStateUniversity and the update. We’ve got to do something about the accessibility or else the developer will be hearing from the national Federation of the blind. This totally undermines the principle of equal access. I’m not happy

#1 in innovation?

For being #1 in innovation they sure don’t know how to program an app. Always having issues, being logged out, app crashing, not loading, troubles with daily health checks which is the best since you have to do them everyday or be locked out of your classes.
It’d be nice to have a clear, more comprehensive, class schedule on your front page and have the weather actually be based on the campus where your classes are for the day. Or, just work to have it not crash as much…

Doesn’t let me log in

I’ve logged in a couple times through ArizonaStateUniversity but the most recent time it wanted me to give it permission (yet again) and the “allow” button was broken. If I have my asurite and password correct, why do I need to give it permission every single time I want to use ArizonaStateUniversity ? Super inefficient. Other than that, it gets 2 stars because it doesn’t have much use anyways. I use the canvas app significantly more than this one.

This is literally terrible.

I guarantee that any good reviews were made by either the developers or someone else who worked on the project. Rolling it out right before finals was really helpful too. 😡
Also, where exactly is the resources section of the home page? I’ve set my preferences so that resources is the only thing checked and I still can’t get to blackboard or MyASU.
So, again, thanks. It’s finals week and you’ve managed to completely strip me of the tools I’ve come to rely on for the past three years. I’ve now literally lost study time trying to figure this out.

It used to work

I had ArizonaStateUniversity in fall of 2019 into spring 2020, and the class schedule notifications worked perfectly. Now I can’t get them to turn on. It’s really frustrating with everything being online and having weird class times on top of that. I wish it was better and I could use it more often

By

Not bad, but...

I find it really annoying that you have to sign in again to access My ASU on ArizonaStateUniversity. And when I try to load ArizonaStateUniversity , I have to close and reopen it several times because ArizonaStateUniversity shows nothing.
Also let an option for fully vaccinated students to not submit the daily health check because numbers are decreasing. Fix ArizonaStateUniversity!

It is 2021‼️

⦁ Don’t you think that maybe it is time to support Touch ID and Face ID⁉️❓⁉️❓

⦁ Security❓❓❓
⚬ I use ArizonaStateUniversity to login and I AM THEN PROMPTED, ‼️ ON THE VERY SAME SCREEN‼️ should I allow this access‼️
⚬ This makes ZERO sense from ANY logical standpoint.

Ya know … IF I tried REALLY REALLY HARD I could not develop an app as poor as ArizonaStateUniversity is (and has been for the 18+ months that I have been a student at ASU)

Just look at the ratings for ArizonaStateUniversity. Do the designers and coders have ANY pride? Do they feel good about the product they produce?

And who are their managers? How out of touch are they? What mission and guidance do they provide the developers?

I’ll stop typing now because, frankly I have better things to do with my time. If the development “team” does not care (which is obvious that they do not)… why should I waste my time?

Needs a lot of work

The concept behind ArizonaStateUniversity is great. Obviously a mobile version on asu online website but as one is browsing ArizonaStateUniversity functions aren’t working. For example when giving permission to apps, I am not allowed to click “allow” but the “not allowed” button works perfectly. It’s more efficient to go to safari and load up the asu website rather than opening ArizonaStateUniversity and having to navigate thru 7 pages just to get to the home page. Stupid app

The daily health check is broken

While I appreciate the fact that ASU is being proactive and has a new feature that asks anyone who will be on campus to submit a daily health check, the feature is broken. I am an employee and on campus 5 out of 7 days and so far in order to complete the daily health check, I have had to delete and reinstall ArizonaStateUniversity three days in a row. On top of that, presenting eleven symptoms you might be experiencing is a bit biased. Someone can easily lie about if they’re feeling sick and check that they are well, go to campus and get someone sick, and potentially mess with contact tracing because they told ArizonaStateUniversity they weren’t having any symptoms.

By

Basically useless

The second star is because it looks like someone, somewhere has the tiniest amount of motivation to build ArizonaStateUniversity. It’s essentially useless though. Lots of links and garbage that advertises the school’s various events, but no real functionality for the student. Why am I using myASU authentication if your app can’t even complete the handshake into the student portal? Guess ASU is using that innovation budget elsewhere.

By

Review!

As a student at ASU being able to navigate throughout the application is great. I really enjoy all the updates and especially the directions/map. Although the map works really well I wish it was similar to the gps I currently use. Sometimes I am still confused on which direction I am going. I do love that ArizonaStateUniversity is free!

Dr. Crow, please do the right thing

In the era of this pandemic, other colleges and universities have made the right step to send students back home and refund their room, board, and parking. ASU has done none of that. Instead, the school prefers profit off the students during this crisis by “recommending” students to go home with no financial incentive to do so. By keeping campus open in the middle of a pandemic and charging room and board, ASU and Crow’s actions will be seen as a failure during a time of crisis unless this issue changes.

Where’s My ASU?

It looks cool. But looks aren’t everything. I can’t believe the developers took away the easy access to My ASU. On the previous version all I had to do was click one icon at the top and I was at my My ASU page. This is THE page, the one that I visit at least once a day and, until now, ArizonaStateUniversity was the easiest way to access it. As a bonus, ArizonaStateUniversity gave me all kinds of other great things. Unfortunately, now, without the easy access to My ASU, I won’t use ArizonaStateUniversity .

By

New version is a little confusing...

I loved ArizonaStateUniversity before the recent changes. Now it feels like ArizonaStateUniversity is force feeding news and campus activities. Problem is I live out-of-state and do all of my school exclusively online. Plus it took me a while to figure out that you could access myasu from it.

By

Terrible Update

ArizonaStateUniversity was completely fine (slightly annoying that it used a link to take me online instead of just using ArizonaStateUniversity but that wasn’t that big of a deal. This latest update makes it so difficult (if not impossible - still haven’t figured it out) to access my asu, my classes, etc. absolutely frustrating wasting my time on an app that tells me about the college I already attend.
