Dabble A Fast Paced Word Game Reviews

This was once a good game but this new version changed some of the better features and seems to subscribe to a very odd dictionary. Either there words are misspelled or the dictionary they come from is not widely published. It wouldn’t accept Wisk but accepted Cokey? Really strange. The feature that solved the puzzle in either additional ways or if you failed to form all of the words is gone. Kinda bummed - this was once a fun challenge.

I used to play this on my Kindle Fire and I was looking forward to playing it again. It has changed and it’s terrible. There are words accepted that aren’t words in real life, then there are actual words that apparently aren’t words in Dabble World. It’s not even one word here or there, but this happens in every game.

I used to love this game. But in this version they forgot to include “Current Streak” on the Home page. So unless you’re within 4 games of your record, you have no idea if you’re close or not. Can you fix this, please???

ALSO, this new thing where you’re shown the “best possible solution” is really annoying. You took away the celebratory fireworks and replaced it with something that belittles your effort. Besides which, there is no smooth transition out of it and it just takes up time.

Pro: extra row for a 7 letter word
Con: 1. design of playing screen weak with letters too far apart and not as aesthetically pleasing as KF version. Would like to see KF screen ported over.
2. End Of Game puzzle solving not existent.
3. Personal Records section for high scores, consecutive wins, fastest solving time cannot be found or non-existent in this version.
4. Kindle Fire version was free, this version I had to pay for. I would be happy to pay for the KF version with and extra row.

Thanks for the update to 11
Wishing the interface was the same, doesn’t have as smooth a feel.
The dictionary seems to off as well, doesn’t seem to know words as simple as Limp.
However, less of a complaint than it seems, as I’m quite pleased to see its return!!

I'd give this 5 stars if I could get it to connect to my fb friends. I've tried everything.. Even deleted and reinstalled DabbleAFastPacedWordGame , but it won't let me challenge fb friends. Help?! Never had a problem like this with any other game 👎

I’m very disappointed with this version of Dabble. It doesn’t display the solution when time runs out. It also doesn’t display the number of consecutive games completed in a row within the time limit. These are meaningful components of the game. Put them back!

Why did you go to five minutes from three minutes? Why is there not the nice exploding end when you finish? Why on the iPad is it so tiny at the bottom? You’ve got this entire iPad you could work with and you scrunch it down to 20% of the bottom of the screen. At least give us the chance to go back to three minutes give us a choice of time. It’s not fun anymore. Very disappointing.

Reinstate the feature that tells you how many games in a row you’ve won on the main page. Isn’t that why we play?

Not crazy about the “best possible solution” pop up. Would like it if it gave the # of POINTS for that solution. I just scored over 1000 points in less than a minute, but still got the “best possible solution” before getting a score. Takes some of the fun out, people!

What happened? The updated interface looks better, but someone seemed to have left out over half the words in the dictionary.

It only took several seconds to figure out there was something wrong when 3-letter and 4-letter words weren’t registering as valid. There is no point in playing if DabbleAFastPacedWordGame can’t even recognize the most basic words.

UPDATE: It appears the full dictionary is in place, along with (gasp) abbreviations. The 7-letter option is great, as it makes gameplay very challenging.

Overall, the playability of DabbleAFastPacedWordGame remains great. Now just place the streak counter back in place!

I like this game because it scratches my word-nerd itch without being debilitatingly addictive. It has a bug that occasionally (maybe 5% of the time) ends a game prematurely and ruins it for you. Also, its “best possible solution” is wrong. I’ve done the math. Better solutions are totally possible. Despite this, I still play a few quick games every day when I want to chillax.

I have played this game with my family as a board game and loved it. DabbleAFastPacedWordGame is just like it. I was hoping to have wifi multiplayer, for a family experience, but I haven't found anything that distracts from playing this great word game. Overall a great game.

Fast pace word game. Scramble letters to make words of different length within a reasonable time frame of 5 min. This allows you time to think about where to place the larger scored tiles (letters) in the longer spaces for a higher end score. Many layers to this game. Fastest time, highest score and completing each word. Many ways to create different words. Highly recommend. And it's free!

Hard to put away. Wonderfully simple and addictive word play. Works flawlessly on my iPhone 6. When you move a letter, it simply swaps positions with the tile you are replacing. It's elegant and adds a challenge to the game. Having a workspace or tray for letters might make it easier, but where's the fun in that?

The older version was better. I really enjoyed playing this game before, but I find this version doesn’t recognize correctly spelled words. Cannot even finish a game because a correctly spelled word isn’t counted. Very frustrating. Please fix this issue.

I love to play this game, both to challenge myself and compete with my friends. I would really like to be able to re-challenge a friend or group of friends without having to go through the list each time. Takes time away from playing...thanks for a great app!!!

Dabble helped me to focus my eyes and concentrate on letter sequencing and word length, following a stroke. I really believe playing Dabble daily was the single best therapy, and I give the developers full credit for my recovery!
How do I mute the clicking and other sounds without muting my phone?

This game is not only fun and entertaining, but it’s also insightful and educational! I play it every night to relax and it always works! I would get this again 100 times! Best app ever ;)
