National Holiday Today Reviews

First off, I paid for NationalHolidayToday because I believe in helping folks build interesting/useful apps. NationalHolidayToday is a great example of one that is interesting but unfortunately not useful.

While I love the wide selection of holidays they’ve included, a vast number of them are simply incorrect. I’ve found I need to cross-reference every holiday on NationalHolidayToday with a Google search to make sure they’re accurate. For example, NationalHolidayToday lists Frankenstein Day as Oct 29th. It’s actually on August 30th, which is Mary Shelley’s birthday.

Further, NationalHolidayToday won’t let me leave reviews because its interface with NationalHolidayToday Store does not function well. I was forced to leave NationalHolidayToday and use NationalHolidayToday Store to write this review.

I regret spending the money on NationalHolidayToday, but at least it looks nice and it gives me ideas for holidays to search on Google. If only the in-app results were accurate.

I got NationalHolidayToday because I love discovering different holidays every day. It’s fun and extremely easy to use, but in order to unlock the complete app, you have to pay two dollars.🤨 Other than that, great app! It gives you a detailed description of one holiday through a list, so for that I give it three stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 😎

I like that the holidays are listed and I bought the full version, which is worth the money. But I wish there was more information about the holidays. For example, National Holistic Pet day is coming up and I have no idea what that means. The description tells me nothing. Are we talking chia pet type crap or what?

NationalHolidayToday is easy and straightforward. I enjoy the font as well. The skeleton is perfect. But the content leaves me wishing for more.

I was hoping to see a little more history and maybe links to external sites notating more inclusive details for those of us who are a bit more curious with the traditional holidays.

There’s more background information given for a Pet Theft Awareness Day than Valentine’s Day. The reason given for the origins of Valentine’s Day is also inaccurate. And in looking at tomorrow’s holidays, it shows S.A.D. Being celebrated on the 15th of February but doesn’t specify in which country, as S.A.D. has two different dates it’s celebrated, depending on where you reside.

I love NationalHolidayToday but I would just want to change one thing. I would want to change the locked section of NationalHolidayToday . I wish that we could see all the holidays just not the locked ones. I know that you have to make money on NationalHolidayToday but maybe find a different way to do that. Over all it’s a good app.

This is an amazing and fun app! It makes everyday a celebration! The one thing I dislike is that you have to pay to “unlock” every holiday. I wish I could see everything, but overall 9/10 would recommend!

I love NationalHolidayToday. Its educational funny and extremely interesting. I often get lost in the more obscure holidays. It would be great if you could include more festivals around the world.

I really like NationalHolidayToday. My granddaughter told me about it and now we send silly texts to each other saying “Happy Peanut Day” or whatever the day is. I know that is an eye-rolling thing to most people but we have fun! It works for us!

I noticed a holiday was off and sent an email about it. Then I noticed one was missing. Within like an hour they had responded, they had already sent an update out to fix the one issue and agreed they should address the missing holiday.

Beyond that, I find NationalHolidayToday a fun way to amp up the homeschooling experience. Give you multiple holidays a day to celebrate. Stupid easy to share them with your aunt if the mood hits you.

Bonus : I have visual issues, especially with lists, and the way this is all colored and formatted is easy on my eyes.

NationalHolidayToday is so cute, it also has links to articles about each holiday which is a nice touch, it’s easy to use and makes my day everyday!

I honestly love this game. But I rlly wish it was all free. But can you add less food holidays. I think you should take off Barbie in a blender day because if 5 yr olds download this they wouldn’t be too happy.

It took a couple (fun) hours to go through the holidays list to pick out the traditional ones & quickly add them to Apple’s Calendar app. I put them on the family calendar from my iPhone and set each holiday to repeat annually - trying to be careful to use custom settings where “days of week” was necessary. Since I have calendar on iCloud, it instantly synced to all the family devices. Just chuckle & smirk past all the “non-traditional” holidays & counter-protest holidays. This is a very intuitive user interface - kudos to the programmers! They thought of almost everything needed to customize your holiday choice. My 2 cents for improvements: 1) Change “Show As” default to “free” instead of “busy” on the add holiday to Calendar. 2) Allow a search by category in list view - it takes a while to peruse the whole list.

April 14th is National Dolphin Day, my favorite animal too! I looked for it first thing after downloading NationalHolidayToday , surprised to find the day was missing.
I haven't spent my 4 dollars yet, but this day doesn't show up as locked yet either...

I have been using NationalHolidayToday for several years and love making my family laugh about the funny days. It works perfectly and has all the correct days. I defiantly advise buying the full version ($2.99) in app. It tells you so much more info.

I love NationalHolidayToday, but need to suggest making a widget feature. I’ve never used an app that would benefit more from a quick daily look than this one! 5 stars if it had a widget.

I was just looking for a traditional USA holidays calendar for IOS when I stumbled across this fabulous app! NationalHolidayToday is full of traditional holidays as well as quirky, funny holidays that are free and additional ones that you can purchase and post on your calendar or share via iMessage or social sight! Super fun and unexpected is all I can say! Kudos to the creative minds that put this montage together! 👍

I never really write reviews, but I wanted to for NationalHolidayToday. I had been using the free version for some time now and absolutely loved it. I loved it so much I actually upgraded for the one time payment of $2.99 to see all of the holidays for a day, and I don’t regret it at all! Great stuff, and great work by the creators of NationalHolidayToday!

NationalHolidayToday is amazing, it makes my days so much more exciting and fun! I love to use it and see how people react when I’m in action. Following this holiday application it’s a very creative way to go about your days and when i upgrades to the full version i get more information of why I follow that holiday, getting an I cream you never taste before makes your life much more interesting! I highly recommend NationalHolidayToday just because it’s really awesome!

Once, I found an odd national holiday that was missed. When I sent off an email to the developers, I received a quick reply acknowledging the omission. After a thank you, the developers added the holiday on the next update. These folks do not ignore their customers.

I saw one criticism of NationalHolidayToday that historical dates along with helpful links for more information would be a nice addition. While I enjoy th “This day in history...” information, I hope the developers do not go down that path. There are many other apps that do history quite well. For me NationalHolidayToday should simply focus on the weird and not so weird days and national holidays. Many entries have a link. That’s fine, but I’m not going to research each entry.

So, I believe the developers are doing a splendid job. Just what I wanted from NationalHolidayToday when I purchased it.

I really enjoy finding out what holiday it is every day. Some are so fun. The only bad thing about NationalHolidayToday is that to get information on all of the holidays, you have to pay a certain amount of money. Besides this fact, I think this is a great fact over all.

I got NationalHolidayToday to know what weird national days the world had!! NationalHolidayToday is perfect! You can even set and reminder on it so it will send you a notification on what day it is!! Over all I love NationalHolidayToday!!

This is amazing, I’ve always have wanted something like this, I just wish it would have more national animal days like for example, a national sea turtle day or something. But otherwise I am in love with it!!
