Sorry excuse for functioning “app.”

The new version of the WKRG weather app is horrendous. It is so awful in fact, that I might dare say it is a crime against humanity. I have never found myself leaving reviews on apps, but the chasm between what this app is in terms of quality now, versus what it was for the years that I used it prior, is vast. The new version is clunky. The new version crashes. The new radar is clunky. There’s too much going on. The simplicity of swiping through my few options was sufficient for me and I reckon for many others based on these reviews. The new map is way too bright. Defeats the purpose of the Doppler pickups contrasting the map. I suggest asking Alan Sealls what he thinks you should do.

I used to love this app, especially the radar feature.
The new update did not improve much of anything. Upon opening the app, there are so many things to look at, it hard to focus. It’s “too busy”.
The old radar used to have a feature that would run the radar into the future. The new one supposedly does too, but I can’t get it to work. I may be deleting this app.
They should have left it alone.

The updated version of the app is not as good as the old version. It loads faster but there are less radar features, no hourly forecast, and way too much information. Most of the time the app is choppy at best. If I wanted the news instead of the weather, I would’ve installed the WKRG News app instead of the weather app. I’m uninstalling and moving on.
