Overall, ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone does what it claims to do, but the paid subscription doesn’t work. If you disable wifi and switch to wireless data or change networks or your internet provider changes your IP, ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone stops working and you get a weird error “missing push device token” which is the only feature the paid version gives you: push notifications. So if you’re using the free version, you should be OK, but don’t throw money at the subscription, it just doesn’t work.

I am on iPhone 11 with the latest 14.5 iOS. The desktop app works fine but the iOS app is quite terrible. They rarely ring simultaneously at the same time. I have to close and reopen the iOS app all the time and it takes a second to register.

They will work together once but then it stops after a call. The only time it rings is if the desktop app is completely closed.

However, even then about 25% of the time ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone doesn’t open or freezes up. Calls often get disconnected while talking to customers. I even pay the $1 a month to get “better” call prioritization but it doesn’t seem to do anything at all.

I thinking of trying another SIP client or going back to Bria altogether.

Update: the email address that the developer left in their response is invalid. Tried multiple times to contact them and it bounces back every time. All email validation reports a failure when trying to reach their MX records. Lowering my rating of ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone due to lack of support.
Great app that has worked very well for me in the past. This latest update removed WiFi keep alive and background refresh. I hope this will be added back soon. Not able to use push due to firewall restrictions. Please help.

ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone uses IAX so it’s safer and faster than sip based apps but it’s not compatible with new iPhones such as iPhone 12 . I think giving new update will solve the issue.

It does everything I need, with incredibly clear sound quality, plus many features that I don’t even need. Plus I can literally setup an account in less than 60 seconds, start to finish, AND you can’t beat the price: ZERO!!!! What more could you ask for?

It provides adds communication abilities to a smartphone that allows one to continue to communicate when towers are down.

Options are always best when technology is available for customization.

Running version 3.15.2, update broke ability to make outbound calls via IAX extension. We thoroughly troubleshot the issue and had to create SIP extensions for all users just to allow inter-office functionality. We use IAX on a non-standard port & we don’t allow SIP outside the firewall for various reasons, so over 60% of our workforce is dead in the water until we find a better IAX solution. Very disappointed , especially for this being a paid. If I could give zero stars, I would. Nightmare update!!

Becomes unregistered. Paid version with “push” does not work. This is fine when I’m making a call, but it means I miss every single call unless I happened to have just turned it on.

I works great when registered, but I have to go into ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone and click the “register” button every single time.

I have in the past, used other Softphone suppliers. I now use Zoiper both on my iPhone and my MacBook Pro. I regularly use it to call clients and friends in other countries. The quality of the audio is excellent. Zoiper works very well. I would unreservedly recommend Zoiper.

Avoid ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone!!!!

Last update made ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone crash almost immediately after starting.

It doesn’t even support any screen sizes but the ancient view for devices with home buttons. So the developer’s priority is obviously not on improving ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone or even bringing it up to date. So how can they be trusted to keep ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone working?

If you quickly dial something immediately after opening ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone and the call goes through, it doesn’t crash till you hang up. So it’s something with the updated app.

Seems every feature except the very basic will eventually be moved behind the subscription model. Just walk away now!

Even after contacting tech support I found the “app” would lose contact with both SIP servers after a short while when ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone was placed in the background. A check of the GUI of the provider revealed that registration was indeed lost. Do, no calls could be received.
I discontinued my subscription and removed the junk app from my phone.
Save your time and frustration. Avoid this one!

About a year ago ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone was working fine with no issues on my home network. After some recent updates I went to use it again and now there’s no audio, and their “support” websites only real suggestion for that is to buy their subscription service which should “fix everything”. So it would seem to me as if they kneecapped their app to make sure you’re paying their monthly fees....

I’m not only making except calls, but I also send and receive text messages from ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone. No flaws I can see.

Paid for an annual subscription but PUSH NOTIFICATION does not work. I notified Customer Service and was informed it’s a know issue they’re working on. I then asked why are they still selling the Push Notification as a premium add-on and I was told I can cancel my subscription. What about a refund? How do I get a refund?

If you want to connect to a sip server on an iPhone, it’s very simple to setup and use. It makes it simple to you your mobile phone as an IP phone. What an amazing app!

I have been using ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone for the last six months and it has worked very great! I wish I could do 3way calling with ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone, then I would give it full five stars

Very easy to use. Very customizable. Also easy to configure new VoIP accounts thanks to qr-codes. And you can have multiple accounts configured.
Great quality and free. Best free App on iPhone, and I tested many!

Call quality is terrible (all my customers complain about echo), Bluetooth never works, the push notifications are hit and miss... ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone has one job -phone calls-and it fails miserably. I even spent $30 on all of the different upgrades, but nothing got any better.

One of the few that works well with FreePBX. The developers fix things. Secure encrypted calls are possible though complex requirements on the FreePBX side are required.

Has worked well for use in a school setting.

I was trying to buy push notifications subscription but was showing up an error. I tried to contact support and they asked me to contact apple support. I contacted apple support and they asked me to reach out to developer. I waisted my money on ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone. It works when u keep it open but no incoming calls when u turn iff screen.

ZoiperLitevoipsoftphone worked well, but of today it is crashing when attempting to make a call.
