Used to be a great app. I played for years and left a good review before but there was a glitch recently that caused SUDOKU to ignore the sound off setting. So I finally deleted and reinstalled. The new install has wildly intrusive advertising that wasn’t there before. I can’t look at the screen without a flashing ad. Deleted SUDOKU and going back to this app on paper.

Been playing SUDOKU for years now. It is one of the best game apps ever in design and functionality. The one problem, and it is a huge one, are the animated ads which are hideous and, for me, make the game unplayable when certain ads come on. Like strobe light distracting. Hope the people responsible for the ad content read this. Ads are still a major problem. Also, one of the ads appears to be a phishing scam making an annoying situation much worse. It’s a shame for an otherwise great app.

The interface and usability of SUDOKU is great, and the ability to mark possible options for each box is easy to use and quite helpful; I also like the quirky awards after completion of each puzzle - a shovel, milk cup, ocarina, etc...but there is some memory leak in SUDOKU that begins to cause extreme issues with response and usability, and the phone quickly heats up to the point of freezing, while draining the battery at a speedy rate. Not sure if it is the ads or just going between filling the squares and marking the viable options, but the issue is quite annoying. I also think that the freezing hinders the timing of completing each puzzle, so the stats and ranking cannot be accurate for each person. I continue to play one or two games a night as a distraction, but the freezing makes it tough to want to play more than that. Still, this is probably the best this app interface I’ve seen.

... recently it seems to have a problem with the ads blocking keystroke input... and then it catches up. This is annoying enough to mark the rating down from what I rated it at before.

Please change the color of the numbers once they’ve been eliminated. They look too similar to the ones you’ve found already. Other than that great app been using it for years!

Plays great and interesting and fun statistics. Occasionally hangs up on my iPhone 5 but I still play it.
Now have iPhone SE2020. Still a great game and still hangs up or resets completely every now and then.

I’m not sure what to attribute this to other than SUDOKU itself because no other game app makes my phone heat up as bad. After about 3 or 4 games my phone gets really hot and there is a lag that makes me take longer to finish a game and it throws off my time! Lol Not a big deal but I would never get off SUDOKU if it wasn’t for that. I have to close out SUDOKU and wait until my ovine cools down to play again.

I played regularly until ads made it unplayable. It was the best this app app I’ve tried. I recently started playing again when I discovered airplane mode keeps the ads from locking up the screen. Otherwise after a few minutes of play it begins to malfunction.

Clean design and functionality, plus the addictive belltones when I better my time. I’ve tried many this app apps and the others are all deleted.

I’ve had several game apps on my phone. This is the only one that I still play daily. It’s simple, works well and is fun. The Daily Challenge is something you can do when you have a few spare minutes and gets your brain going. If you have longer, try a harder difficulty level. Easy to put down if you need and pick up and play later.

Great basic this app game which has been on my phone forever and is reliable with hilarious quirks like your worth after each game. Recommend.

This is the only this app app I'll keep downloaded for more than a few weeks. I always go back to this one for my this app fix, and phone updates when I need to redownload. Fav

It’s been my favorite for years but I wish they updated it to not kill my battery!

Game is very customizable. There’s a dark and light mode which is pretty convenient. The level system feels rewarding. NO ADS! And there are like 6 game difficulties that you can test around with which I really like. Arguably the best this app app on SUDOKU store

I’ve tried loads of other this app apps and I’ve never found one that I like so well. The functions, the looks, even just the way you can choose from more than two colors for your theme—best this app app ever.

I really enjoy this version of this app, the only problem I have is the invasive adds that flash and spin and that literally keep you from concentrating, there outright irritating. Quite a few times I just end up shutting it off completely frustrated!

A hidden gem among the countless this app apps and the best of them all. One of my favorite apps which I’ve been playing for years. It’s stable and dependable. Ads are at the bottom so not bothersome or intrusive. Daily and world rankings are good motivation to keep improving.

I’ve been playing it for years. It has an infinite amount of levels for any skill, and a daily puzzle.

My only wish is to increase the contrast between the color of the numbers that are all placed and those which aren’t yet.

This possibly could be one of the oldest apps on my phone because it is great and I’ve never needed anything else from a this app game. All the features you could need are there and work great and continue to work great over the years. I will not be looking for another this app app as long as this is around.

Good implementation of game. I think the “greying out” of fully discovered numbers could use more contrast. Sometimes it hard to see when going fast for timing.

Rewards are funny but ridiculous. “Used bottle”?!? Milk jug? Proves a point that as long as there are rewards to collect, most will enjoy the flash banner with some mundane item being added to your collection of other boring items.

Graphic charts tracking times are a bit overly fussy and rewards are irrelevant.

To summarize: Great app. Great play. Fussy graphics that are too subtle during game play but overly busy when showing completion times.

I’ve had SUDOKU on my iPad for years. I try others but always come back to this one. Also, I love the user interface.
