Been playing this app for years now. It is one of the best game apps ever in design and functionality. The one problem, and it is a huge one, are the animated ads which are hideous and, for me, make the game unplayable when certain ads come on. Like strobe light distracting. Hope the people responsible for the ad content read this. Ads are still a major problem. Also, one of the ads appears to be a phishing scam making an annoying situation much worse. It’s a shame for an otherwise great app.

Used to be a great app. I played for years and left a good review before but there was a glitch recently that caused the app to ignore the sound off setting. So I finally deleted and reinstalled. The new install has wildly intrusive advertising that wasn’t there before. I can’t look at the screen without a flashing ad. Deleted the app and going back to sudoku on paper.

The interface and usability of the app is great, and the ability to mark possible options for each box is easy to use and quite helpful; I also like the quirky awards after completion of each puzzle - a shovel, milk cup, ocarina, etc...but there is some memory leak in the app that begins to cause extreme issues with response and usability, and the phone quickly heats up to the point of freezing, while draining the battery at a speedy rate. Not sure if it is the ads or just going between filling the squares and marking the viable options, but the issue is quite annoying. I also think that the freezing hinders the timing of completing each puzzle, so the stats and ranking cannot be accurate for each person. I continue to play one or two games a night as a distraction, but the freezing makes it tough to want to play more than that. Still, this is probably the best Sudoku interface I’ve seen.
