If it would work well then the fork app is a great concept but I would most certainly not rely on it (I personally already deleted it). I reserved a restaurant through it and when I arrived at the time my reservation was set in the app, the kitchen and restaurant was closed. The owners apologized and said they’ve been having constant trouble with the app and will discontinue their partnership asap. Second bad experience was a restaurant that you need months of anticipation to reserve in and I did it via the fork. The day of my reservation, without notification and without me clicking a thing, it appeared to be “cancelled”. I couldn’t reserve again since there was no space and no explanation or response to my complaints were received. Furthermore, their offer of restaurants listed is definitely not the best in any city I’ve used it in. Don’t use this app, don’ trust this app.

I attempted twice to make reservations outside the US and both times the reservation was not available at the time reserved. The first attempt, even the the booking was “confirmed,” the waitstaff informed us that we needed to call them to confirm the booking... in other words, it was NOT confirmed. The second time, I made a reservation that was “confirmed” for 6:00 pm. We show up to the restaurant (after a bit of challenge, because the name and address didn’t match the restaurant), and find out that it doesn’t open until 7:00 pm! I doubt I will use The Fork in the future for reservations, as the service doesn’t actually do what is is supposed to... RESERVE a table!

Don’t use this app if booking a discounted reservation. If the restaurant doesn’t honor it, the app won’t respond. I have tried their live chat — funny, I am always number 2 in line — and I stay in that position for hours. I have sent 4 emails with pictures of my receipt and gotten no response even though they promise a response in 48 hours. Simply no follow through or customer service. Stay away.
