I will be deleting my KTUU weather app today. I’m a local tour guide and I’ve used KTUUChannel2Weather and recommended it to all of my guests. It use to give me the current Doppler and clear information on earthquakes. I live in Alaska and both of these are the most important things an app could show me when it comes to weather no typhoons, no hurricanes no tornadoes no no no. We do have a lot of earthquakes though and the update you you just made renders the earthquake information is useless. It used to be a conversation piece and was well received with guest visiting my local town it is turned into some big commercial now and all I see on there is constant ads wanted me to purchase something rather than the useful tool it was in the past. To the programmers — I actually had members of your team on my tour before and discussed how wonderful and useful KTUUChannel2Weather was I can’t believe you let me down.

Totally useless since the update. It always give an error that it isn’t connected to WiFi or data, when it is. It won’t load. I’ve deleted and reloaded KTUUChannel2Weather several times but nothing works. It sure would be nice if KTUU would fix KTUUChannel2Weather. It was my favorite weather app before. Now I will search for a new one and totally ditch KTUUChannel2Weather.

Running on iPhone 8. Update freezes at opening screen and show no weather. Cannot open hourly, daily, menu-anything. So, at present useless. Update soon, because I normally love KTUUChannel2Weather and use it several times a week.

This new up-date as like most up-dates have caused it to slow down and now it’s dependent on streaming ads. KTUUChannel2Weather is horrible now. When I'm on the trails and want to check weather most time it wont. It requires a fast internet. why did you change it?

Ktuu weather app crashes, won’t load or if it does try to load it has a pop up that tells me that the video I want to watch (the weather in the valley) is no longer available. I’m sorry, but it was so much better before you updated it!! I never hear about anyplace other than anchorage.

Too many pop up ads, too many BIG ads, too little maps and useful info. Used to be able see much more useful info and radar maps useful for camping, fishing etc. Now the useful info is in very small boxes and only loads after all the big screen ads pop up. It’s a waste of my time to use it anymore.

I’ve been a fan of KTUU for decades but KTUUChannel2Weather was disappointing. I had it for a week before deleting it for multiple reasons. The main deciding factor was the constant adds popping up as navigating through it. I’m glad some enjoy it but it’s not for me. The weather app that came with my phone works just fine.

The latest upgrade has made KTUUChannel2Weather painful to use. Rather than a weather app with some unobtrusive ads for support, it now feels like an ad app with the possibility of finding weather information...somewhere...maybe. Time to find another app and delete this one.

The map with the current temp was the most useful part of the old app. Now a splash page with auto streaming (data down the drain) content to get the current temp and a separate option to get the map without it. Some advice - Don’t force streaming. Put the current temp on the map that shows the weather, and put it back on top as the first thing viewable. Too many levels to get to what we want to see, and added sluggishness to boot is not a good direction.

It will not work for Nuiqsut!! Crashes in 1-2 seconds. You cannot change to new town name to make it stop. Now can’t look at any wx. Must reinstall app and enter all your info again. Done twice now. Over it. Home page contains 5! Advertisements. Calls Peters Creek Anchorage but temps are as much as 25° different than Sand Lake. Needs to differentiate between parts of the muni since largest in country without requiring location tracking.

Every day or so KTUUChannel2Weather wont show the forecast I have to reset my phone for it to work again, extremely aggravating and annoying for something that is supposed to provide convenience....

It’s slow to load, always changes my default location, sometimes it doesn’t load at all and I have to shut KTUUChannel2Weather down completely and then reopen it. All the pop up ads are interfering with overall viewing and loading.
It was so much better before.

A few years ago you app was probably the best in the business. But now, I’m really disappointed with it. It’s less than 50% accurate and sometimes the info is hours old even after I refresh.

First, hearing what sounded like Jackie Purcell’s voice suddenly emerge from my phone at 5:45 AM was upsetting. Immediately turned off sound alerts that I hadn’t been aware of existing prior to that. Maybe don’t have that as a feature.

Second, getting regular alerts that “A massive amount of snow is about to fall 🥶❄️🌨!” alerts as if I’m supposed to be thrilled about getting more snow after having just shoveled for 4 straight days makes me cranky. Maybe dial back the use of exclamation points? For me these warnings should be akin to telling us missiles are about to rain down on my location.

This apt used to be useful but the “upgrade@ is awful. Add block useful information, now you have to go to separate pages just to. Kee the map and current temp. Wish I could “un upgrade”! Very unhappy with this version. I used to recommend this apt no more, I’ll be looking for a different one to use.

Recent changes have made KTUUChannel2Weather very slow to start and now opens sideways. Sometimes sticks on home temps and won’t change for other locations. Grrrrr!

The older version was my go-to weather app no matter where I went. This one gives less information and the ads are intrusive. I’ll be looking for a new weather app. PLEASE replicate the old one and replace this one!

I've tried other weather apps for my iPhone 5, but none of the radar/satellite animations work, no matter how I tinker with settings. The KTUU app is very feature rich and accesses a ton of weather data, and even earthquake info, all with fast-loading weather animations. The navigation is intuitive, even though the buttons are a little small. I would pay for an ad-free version and I rarely pay for apps.

I’m very happy with KTUUChannel2Weather and I’m glad that channel 2/ KTUU has decided to offer KTUUChannel2Weather to people!
