I find your reporting very pro- British. If someone mentions ‘the north of Ireland’ you will change it to Northern Ireland, why? What you are doing is what the Brit’s want - portray the 6 counties as a different country oblivious to the thousands of Irish people who see it as much a part of Ireland as cork or Kerry. If you want to be viewed as an independent and honest news app then quote people in what and how they say things not as you would want them to say it. Actually, I’d love to know the answer to this question - are you instructed/told you MUST revere to the north of Ireland as Northern Ireland and change people’s reference to NI using any other term????

Totally biased app. Ireland and it’s citizens are supposed to be free to speak but not the case with The journal. A complete waste of time asking their readers for reviews because any confrontation or differences of opinion is disregarded.

Over the last 2 years I’ve stopped opening TheJournalieNews due to 90% of the articles being about covid. I just recently opened TheJournalieNews and its still at least 75% about covid. Its like nothing else is going on???

Love the journal and the comments after an article are like life itself… funny, sad, angry ,loving , and strange… life is for living 🤝

I read it every day and like the diversity of coverage. There is something for everyone and the Friday slideshows are fabulous. I have had mixed experiences with images on my iPad which is my primary "complaint". Just one caution if you are American, there is a somewhat anti-American tone in articles and posted comments. Articles that having nothing to do with the US will have negative posts about America. America is mentioned by posters at a frequency that just doesn't make much sense. It is quite odd. It's not the negativity that bothers me, it is the mention of the US for no reason. Seems petty and close-minded. Other than that, if you like international news and are curious about an Irish perspective on the world, I think this is an ap worth downloading.

In order for post truth to exist, we need it’s origin to be recognized/compared/contrast ed as an untruth or pre-truth , so which comes first the truth or the lie !
We need one to exist to prove/disprove the other !

Started reading the Journal to get better understanding of Brexit and found I enjoy the other articles as well. BTW I live in the U.S.

When away from home what a great place to stay up on what’s going on.

I like this apps look and feel, particularly the 'thumb up/thumb down' comment section which allows the user to feedback on each comment, and facilitates several levels of related responses on the main discussion thread.
The journalism effort in each article is usually up to scratch with any newspaper, and typically provide an objective read.
As a non resident of the country, its intriguing to browse opinions shared as frankly and sincerely as herein. Of course, trolling can't be avoided, but at least the trolls are called out rapidly.

As an ex-pat in America, I truly appreciate getting our favorite paper from home conveniently here. TheJournalieNews works consistently well, the content is just as pertinent, and the format of TheJournalieNews is very easily useable, clean, and clear. Thanks for the taste of home! Slainte!
