Yurekuru was so much better.

Let’s start with the first issue. PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ states Japanese and English language, but English support was removed when transitioning to the PREP app.

Either this should be changed in PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ Store or the developers should notify us as to when an English version should come. Please, don’t leave us hanging either.

Second. I logged in earlier this week and updated PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ this morning. After updating, my account logged out. Minor problem? Yes. Completely avoidable? Most likely.

Most concerning are the notifications. You can choose what type of push notifications to get, but they’re not working correctly. I get so many push notifications, it’s hard to tell if they’re important or not. Turning off the type of notification does nothing for heavy rain alerts.

Even then, there’s no threshold for heavy rain alerts. Yurekuru had a great system for allowing us to choose the severity of earthquake alerts. I think PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ would be so much better if we could tailor our alerts just like we could on Yurekuru.

So for now, and this gets one star. It’s going to take more than English language support to change my mind.

Not working quite right

I've had this application for several years and it always gave me a warning for quakes in my area, just as it should. Lately, though, it's been alerting me about every quake of any size from anywhere in Japan. It started maybe a week ago and I'm tired of it lighting up my phone all the time and scaring me for no reason. I don't want to start ignoring it and then miss a warning I need. I even turned off notifications and it still comes. Please fix this so I can get only mine.
There was a quake I felt last week and it didn't even pop up on the list until 10 or 15 minutes later, making me think I was crazy and just feeling things that didn't happen.
Please please fix these issues.

If I have family in Japan I must pay to get the alerts in the USA…

I feel we should be permitted to use two locations for free, rather than just one… I have had to rely off NHK app to give the earthquake notifications when I am not in Japan… I would like to keep up with my family without having to pay.

Yurekuru Call was much better when I could set my home location rather than use my current location only…

I’m very disappointed.

Useful Warning System

It's a pretty solid app that gives you as much warning as possible before an earthquake. I paid the extra money to add additional locations because the sensors nearest to me don't always pick up the earthquakes that you end up feeling. It's nice to be able to add locations. I also like that you can set the sensitivity of the alarms you set - I want to be warned for bigger earthquakes, not the little ones, so this makes a lot of sense. It's an intuitive app, and I like it!

Good app

I like PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ and its simplicity. However, I wish it actually used the location services built into an iPhone. I live in the Kanto area and I move around a lot during the day. Having to keep changing the location setting is something that I forget to do. Using the location services would be great for me. I notice PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ appears in the location services window but PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ doesn't seem to use this. I would give it 5 stars if it did. Keep up the good work!

Great app...read about it on aramatheydidn't ^^

This is a really good app, and I plan to use it on my exchange trip to Japan this summer ^_~
it seems to be really helpful for warning people for earthquakes that could happen any moment, even if it only gives them a few seconds notice. I have friends who live in Japan, and it is also great to make sure they are alright!

New Version = smiley faces?

We got a bit of a Jolt tonight in Kanto. Didn't get a warning this time. But I could choose a smiley face, and that's what really matters in an emergency.

Assuming I didn't get a warning because my settings were wiped with the update and I didn't think to check it. So hopefully I'll get a warning before the next one. The quality of English is somewhat lower with this newer version. Just a few things like "be quake?" Or "don't purchased." I will change my rating once I see it works properly.

Was better before "Premium" version

I have used PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ for a long time and purchased the no ads and multiple locations options. Now RC Solutions thought it is better to pay a monthly fee for the "premium" version which does the same as my previous paid add-ons. There is even "High Speed Delivery".

The only problem is that now the notification come slow or later than before. If you say it is a "Premium" subscription service then make sure your "Premium" services are working correctly.

Definitely a step backward.

Very helpful!

This is an amazing app and it could spare your life...!!

I live in the US, but I'm worried about my friends and family in Japan, so I got PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ to see how frequent they are getting aftershocks. I was surprised to see that it works anywhere you are! I am planning on using during my trip to Japan this summer.

SELFISHLY Too little too late

When people have apps set to auto-update... warning to not update AFTER THE FACT is a little late. I have been paying for the subscription and feel this company disrespected the people who have invested not only their money but their faith in this company and your app.

Every day your US military affiliated members are denied service more and more and this is a fine example of a life or death denial of service. You should be ashamed.

Latest update

I love PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ! It's been an enormous help since we live just south of Tokyo.

However, the latest update has created many problems with the notifications. The display has changed on many of the screens. It still notifies properly but doesn't work as well.

Thank you

PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ is essential and helps us sleep in Japan. Please don't underestimate the criticality of PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ. Many of us from afar, unlike locals, have no option for fast quake notifications from SoftBank etc. PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ is a blessing thank you!!! Thank you so much

By

Useless

Since PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ changed from Yurekuru, it has become completely useless. Constant notifications counting down faraway earthquakes, no notification or updated information when there actually is an earthquake, constant error messages, etc. Absolutely awful. If you’re not going to do it right, maybe creating an app isn’t for you?

By

Too many alerts

I tried to change my alert settings so that I would only be warned of shaking of level 3 and above, but for some reason the setting doesn't save. Thus, after the Kumamoto 6.4-mag earthquake, I received constant notifications in Tokyo of every aftershock even though nothing was felt in Tokyo. Unfortunately this led to me deleting PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ from my phone.

By

needs to be more specific

in the "settings" area, under "intensity notification", if you choose "all" thinking that you will receive notifications for all intensities then you will be surprised when you receive all earthquake warnings for japan, it cancels out the "location" that you choose.

I think you should move the "all" choice to "location".

I miss the catfish

Bad: Dropped English language support

Worse: Made the primary function — earthquake tracking and alerts — harder to use

Worst: Your brand used to be that catfish. Did it look “professional”? Not really. But you owned it. It was distinctive. Recognizable. Cute even. But now? The branding could be for literally any app. It’s meaningless. It’s generic. It’s boring. You killed your brand. Congrats.

By

Not as useful

The English language support is gone with PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ renewal and rebranding. A lot of other things I used and enjoyed about Yurekuru Call are also gone along with it. There are probably better weather/disaster alert system apps out there for Japan if you want something simple and in many languages.

RIP, Yurekuru Call ;–;

Notifications not working?

I'm having the same problem as above...app tells me when I open it that I do not have push notifications enabled, even though I do. I've had PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ for about 2 months, and this has just started happening in the past week.

By

Completely Unusable - PREP team didn’t prep for migration

Would you trust a company called “PREP” but didn’t prepare for their migration?? Did they not do any testing? Normal functions that worked really well in the Yurekuru app like setting your home area doesn’t even work anymore!!! “エラー” is the only notification I get with PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ! This version needs to be updated IMMEDIATELY!!!

By

Really bad

I have used the old yurekuru app with English language and paid 99 cents monthly for premium. Suddenly the yurekuru app was replaced on my phone with the new prep app, without English language, and this while I already paid for this month. This is ridiculous. Can’t recommend PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ when you need English.

Great app till they changed it to a paid app

Used it quite often until it became a paid app. I moved and couldn't change my location, and see the quakes near me. I only moved about 100 kilometers in Japan. Just had a quake and I can't use any features to check it. Yahoo has a great free quake tracker.

By

What happened?

It worked great but recently it goes off for intensity 0 quakes anywhere in Japan. This was not always the case. Please please please update, I will have to delete it if it keeps blowing up and scaring me like that.

Essential!

If you live in earthquake country, like Japan, this is PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ to have! I live in Misawa-shi and PREPプレップ総合防災アプリ has not let me down when an earthquake is on the way! I'd give 6 stars if I could!!
