This is the best music app I've ever used. If you're a Steve Roach fan then you must get both Immersion I & II. Use it when working on the computer or at night when going to bed. Your ears will be treated to an endless mix of smooth tonal passages that evolve out of nowhere. Very deep and atmospheric. Use the "magic wand" tool for an indescribable experience!

I've been a huge fan of Steve Roach, a legend of trance-tribal ambient music for decades. These apps ingeniously design by Eric Freeman with Steve bring together visual Art design, on-the-go tech, and lush ambient loops in a seamless way. They are infinite as you can interact and create and store your own loops with titles you dream up! Beyond cool! Bravo!

If you are a fan of ambient music, then SteveRoachImmersionI with loops created by Steve Roach is amazing. Create your own ambient soundscape with an intuitive visual interface. I love it.

As mentioned previously, the my mixes scroll issue and pause on lock screen issue subtracts one star.
I hope more loops will become available..or do I have to buy more stations for some variety?

This is ear and eye candy

I find the low sounds eerie. When I tried to use it to sleep to, it seemed more creepy than relaxing. I would like a little lighter relaxing music.

Very cool interface. Some of the mixes are fairly eerie Sounding! Works fine on the iPad too.

A fun sound toy and excellent meditation tool.

If you're looking for a program to generate airy new-age type stuff, then yes, this program is probably not for you. However if you want truly immersive, deep, dark, pan-ambient soundscapes, then this program is superb for relaxation and meditation. (and, according to some, sleep-aid) While Bloom seems to SteveRoachImmersionI most people recommend when discussing these types of generative ambient programs, Bloom is not for everyone, especially people who want something with a little more edge to it. Immersion Station basically fills that gap by providing a generative system (to an extent) that is less melodic and more about soundscape and mood. The idea of creating your own continually playing mix based around 5 superb loops (each with it's own sound characteristics) is great on its own, and this program lets you do that wonderfully. Where it really shines, though, is the "Evolve" button which essentially takes the mix you have set up (or preselected) and slowly changes the characteristics. The end result is something any lover of ambient sound environments/installations will fall in love with. An amazing program for fans of this stuff. If I had any suggestions for the developers it would be perhaps an upgrade to the evolve feature whcih allows the program to randomly turn spheres on and off instead of only working with the spheres that are already on.

I love SteveRoachImmersionI and use it a lot. Especially while reading. Also for meditation. Also, I use it with the volume low on the iphone speaker and it acts like an ambient mantra creating 'sound track' of the present moment: a tool to use to become hyper aware of the present moment. Next time you have to stand in line somewhere play SteveRoachImmersionI with the phone in your pocket, soften your eyes, slowly breath and just look around and 'immerse' in the present moment. This can be pretty trippy ;) While it is infinitely creative, I, like so many others, would like more spheres. More Spheres please,Steve!

This is a great little ambient music generator. It is for people who prefer something a little more organic sounding than the sterile Bloom (which never fails to sound mechanical and soulless to me). Like most of Steve Roach's music, this has depth and a bit of dread in it. You can leave this on for hours as background without it getting tiresome. I fell asleep to it last night, in fact. There are two improvements that need to be made, however: this needs a timer! I can't have this going on all night and eating up the battery. It also needs more balls/loops. But this is definitely on the right track. I would have paid more for it. I definitely would pay 9.99 if it had a timer and more loops - also a reverb adjuster.

Immersion Station is a wonderful way to experience the richness of Steve Roach’s beautiful ambient sounds. It’s amazing how many different atmospheres you can create with the five music loops provided in SteveRoachImmersionI . I particularly appreciate the small touches that make a big difference, like the evolve feature and the ability to listen when SteveRoachImmersionI is in the background, and the elegant design of SteveRoachImmersionI .

I have been listening to Steve Roach's music since first hearing Quiet Friend on public radio (hearts of space) back in the late 80's. This is the evolution of music from listening to actually creating without any formal training in music. You control the soundscapes by just setting the parameters. Whats even better the soundscapes never stop (until you turn it off) Thank You Steve!

It could definitely use more sounds as some have said, and I wish there were more options for like setting a sleep timer and stuff like that. Still, this has helped me get to sleep a lot faster when I haven't been having too much fun playing with it

Ive been a Steve roach follower and soundworld entrant since I was 13 years old, today at 41 I grow with each new release Steve pits out. SteveRoachImmersionI is the perfect way to live with the sound like Steve does. It gets you closer to the heartbeat that drives Steve to continue his journey with us. Thank you Steve. So many openings.

All I can say is, if you're a fan of ambient music you might love SteveRoachImmersionI. I listen to Steve's music all the time and love crafting a mix to suit the mood. The interface is really clever and easy to use. This is a daily sonic treat for me. Highly recommended. Perhaps an update will let the mixes run in the background?

As a lover of ambient music, this is a terrific app that is well crafted, with a feeling of refinement. Being able to manipulate the spheres, and regulate the strength of each sound in the soundworld is wonderful. Two accomplished men were involved in its making, and it shows. (Also recommended is Robert Rich's app "Somnium")

This is a gorgeous application. The time spent on the design and the sound is obvious when you open it. It's a lot of fun to play with the different sounds and mix the different elements or watching your mix change in evolve mode. It's a must for fans of ambient music.
