The new format for online SN does not make me happy. When I click on an article or comic strip it comes up as a half page. I find it hard to read because it is too small. Pressing “A” for a larger font cuts off much of the article . This often makes it necessary to drag the item back and forth in order to read it with a comfortable print size. I had accidentally deleted the old SN and it was replaced by the one I now have and don’t like. As I recall, when selected, articles and comic strips filled a whole page. While I’m not sure what it was exactly like previously, I am sure that I had no trouble reading it. I wish I could get the older version back!
I paid for a year long promotional digital access only account through Apple. Got a confirmation from Apple and my credit card company for payment and an active subscription. The newspaper publisher, Gannett, does not show an account for me. I’ve called their overseas call center three times over two weeks and every time the rep shows no record of an account, and each time blames Apple. Hyperlinks inside WilmingtonNCStarNews to report the problem don’t work.

I do not like this application. I was having trouble downloading an edition of the StarNews. I deleted the application and tried to redownload it. I have had this to work before. I went to the Apple Store and the application I previous had was not available. I downloaded this current application and I do not like it at all. What happened to the previous application. I learned later that the problem I was experiencing was with my ISP.
No paper or always very late in am-pm. Can’t open my account to read. This is a subscription that started in wilmington nc 1993 then moved to leland 10 years second move in leland nc in 2003 so 20 years at this address. DO SOMETHING JOAN WILSON
Why do I have to receive large number of ads in addition to my subscription? This is a terrible app !
This is arguably the worst app I’ve dealt with newspaper wise. Really amateurish. All i wanted to do is suspend my subscription for a while — it used to be simple. Now i can’t find how to do it. Then to make it worse, it is very clunky, pop ups are constant, and it is a hassle. If they are trying to get you to stop the paper subscription with this, good luck. What a joke.
This application is terrible, some days it hangs and the e paper does not load, and the screen jumps around when trying to read something. I have removed the ap a couple of times and reloaded it only to find no change. Please fix this mess
Have an older I pad and WilmingtonNCStarNews does weird things. Has to keep refreshing , goes back to page One , redo the formatting, not stable
New app is missing a single page option that previous app had. Ads interfere with the operation of WilmingtonNCStarNews .
Comparing the new online version to the old version, I find the new version a "swing and a miss". While the new version has nice colored pictures to click upon, content has been reduced dramatically.
Can’t get it to show edition on one page. When I change pages the new page is magnified.
New to the StarNews app and Wilmington. So far a good experience in both instances.

I am so glad that it is possible to read the paper exactly as it is printed. Having it on line removes the uncertainty of delivery. Don’t change a thing!
A local paper that really helps keep the local community in mind. They partner with multiple local new organizations to ensure the public is engaged in the happenings of Wilmington from politics to entertainment it has it all!
Having moved here and we have enjoyed the local news that Star News has provided. We will be long term subscribers reading on computer or iPad. Thanks Star News!
