I tried to edit a photo in my album then save the resulting file, which crashed my entire library and wiped clean my photo album on my phone. I had to restore everything from iCloud and was lucky I got most of the photos back, but did not get my album organization back at all so that photos I previously sorted into albums were never recovered. I had to pay for this as well since the app costs 99 cents; so at minimum I need my money back from the publisher. Just a warning to everyone that it could crash your software and photos can be erased.

You control the type of filter you apply by tapping through a selection of various pen and paintbrush icons, but they don’t describe what you’ll get. You just have to try them all through trial and error. Within the filter, you can change the degree of filtering by tapping a “line” icon. It cycles through a range of changes but gives you no indication of when you have looped back to the beginning of the selection. You just keep tapping until you recognize a pattern or find a look you like. A slider bar or some kind of progress marker would be nice.

For the price of a soda, you get a fun little app to turn your photos into cartoons.

This app is truly amazing. It has helped me make my photos and videos come alive in minutes/seconds in ways that would have taken hours using other drawing apps. I’m an artist and this app is so simple it’s great.
