Very irritating when the light is on and if you 'accidentally' touch ANYTHING on the screen it turns it off by going to some $&@!( advertisement-then it takes multiple tries to make it go on again-and again you can't even BREATH on the screen or it turns off AGAIN-!! So it is great but it needs to be so that you can TURN THE SCREEN OFF by touching the top button on the phone-BUT NOT TURNING OFF THE LIGHT ITSELF-ONLY THE SCREEN-That way one can actually USE the light-if battery wear is an issue-make it so that one can have a SETTING OPTION in iLluminationUS that make it so that the light will go off at the set time per user preference-
Now THAT would deserve a 5 star rating-until then I give it a 2-so PLEASE-YOU WONDERFUL DEVELOPERS MAKE IT SO~! (tank ya much-!)

I tried lots of other flashlight apps, this one was okay. iLluminationUS had lots of features but when you open iLluminationUS it has a title screen which can be annoying when you're in a hurry, I feel like it takes too many key strokes to get something going
Lock screen: no; after phone is unlocked the light does not come back on like competitors did
Home button: no

I used to love iLluminationUS but when I updated to 2.0 the tap mode for the flashlight disappeared, the options for LED, screen, and dual disappeared, and all of the color options were removed. Also, the bottom of the window where the ads are is about twice as large as it was before and it seems to be the background of the tap mode if I remember correctly. iLluminationUS does not work properly on my 5th generation iPod. I would really appreciate a fix for this! (As well as others who have this problem from updating)

I've had iLluminationUS for a while and it's been great as a regular flashlight. But when I go in to change the color, I find out only the screen changes colors. I do astronomy stuff and using the red is what I need but it isn't bright enough on the screen to be useful. Glad I found out now before being with 1000 astronomers throwing stuff at me because I just blinded them.

I shouldn't have turned the thing toward my face with iLluminationUS 's flashlight on - it is extremely bright - I suppose as bright as a really bright dedicated LED flashlight. Brilliant. Would just like the flashlight to be on when iLluminationUS is opened, rather than having to tap to choose flashlight mode. But great app.

I was upstate this weekend and my friends went out to stargaze. I followed them a couple minutes later so they were ahead of me and had already adjusted to the dark (new moon). I was walking forward slowly on uneven ground following their voices when I remembered i had downloaded iLluminationUS. I turned it on and found I was half a footstep away from a 6 foot drop! Phew! Thanks guys!

I do think it's a shame that some people are rating iLluminationUS as a one-star object. I've played with it for a while now and while the AppStore is bloated with flashlight-apps this one really appeals to me. Nobody (except maybe competitors) can't think this one deserves that rating. It's just not at all greatfull regarding the developer whose likely been working on iLluminationUS X hours.

- Clean and intuitive interface
- Free
- Nice logo
- Nice that it's a universal binary (even though I don't think I'll ever use it on my iPad).

Overall the best flesh-light app with the best interface that I've tested so far. And it saved me a dollar too!

I LIKE CLASH UV CLANS

Use iLluminationUS ALOT! Love being able to just push just one button and having a light. I had iLluminationUS on my IPhone 3GS and of course there is no flash on those so I never used it. Because the light on the screen just wasn't bright enough. But now that I have an IPhone 4 and the light comes from the flash of the camera. I use it all the time!! :)

I love iLluminationUS! I had an iPhone 4 and it works great on there. However, I'v since upgraded to the iPhone 5. iLluminationUS still loads and runs perfectly expect, the LED is not taken advantage of. Please update soon for iOS 6 as I use the LED flashlight mode often and would love to continue to use your app. Use of the LED would stop me from looking for another app and allow me to continue to be loyal to you.

UPDATE: v1.7 fixes crashing. Finally!
Now that it actually loads up again iLluminationUS deserves the full 5 stars that it is. :)

Updated to 1.6 hoping that the crashing when opening app would be fixed, but nope, the latest update didn't do it for me. I'm on an iPhone 4 so I'm not sure how that would cause a problem. 1 star for being useless now.

...get this idea in their brain that prevents them from reading the section of text on the update page that urges you NOT TO UPDATE TO 2.0 because it is buggy and a new release will be coming out shortly to address these issues! Stop wasting your time writing negative reviews or I'll continue to write critical reviews of you. Brilliant app. Just waiting (patiently) for a new update, like you advised us to do. Jeez.

So I was spelunking in northern brazil, when all the sudden- boom, no lights. Lucky for me, I had iLluminationUS. So I flicked it out and the world was right again. Because the light was so bright, I continued my journey, spelunking deeper and deeper into the cave. After what seemed like hours behind my trusty light, I came across a small tribe of natives who were mesmerized by iLluminationUS. Not only did they say it was the greatest app they had ever seen, but also showered me with gifts of treasure and gold. I was royalty. Needless to say, I recommend iLluminationUS.

iLluminationUS has worked great and it has been very handy! I use it all the time! Not only is it helpful around the house late at night, but it has also come to my rescue while on a hiking trail when the sun went down faster than expected. It allowed me to use my iPhone as a good flashlight, lighting the trail in front of me & keeping me away from the edge of the cliffs, hidden in the darkness. It's flash patterns also allowed me to alert the rescue party looking for us that night. Great app!!

Dear users. I'm the developer of iLlumination. I'm very sorry that the application crashed. It was a very strange bug that only happened on iPhone 4 running iOS4. There was also another bug happening on all devices. Again, I'm very sorry for any problems that these bugs has caused. I hope you can forgive me and the application. All should be well now. Title says it all. No, it's not some app that made crazy innovations, but it gets the job done perfectly for what it is (on an iPhone 4 atleast). To the people complaining that "there's too many options" or "the options are odd": don't use or mess around with what you don't need, just use the basic flashlight then. Don't give it low stars for having options you don't need coupled with the ones you wanted that ARE there.

Also, I hope you all get stuck on a boat in the middle of the night and can't morse that you're stuck to passing boats. And because of that a serial kidnapper swims to your boat and takes you back to his dungeon. Game OVVVAAAA

This was the first light app that I have used and have been completely satisfied since. The developer is VERY responsive and, through no fault of his, had to wait for APPLE to approve this update in the iTunes store for LION. Others my say they JUST want a flashlight app but this has save our collective butts a couple of times. Once we were hiking in the mountains (Japan) here and we used it to "beacon" other travelers to where we were located. The "tap" mode is very handy for this. We had also used this to light our way through collapsed buildings in the Tohoku (Japan) regions. I just put it in my pocket and I have a hands free light. Cool! Over all it just does what it was developed for very well. . .

it doesn't take long to open, lots of choices of options. For example for strobe you can pick very fast, fast, medium, slow, or verry slow. It also has dual flashlight so your screen will be a bright white( or any color! you can choose) and you can also have your LED on or you can just have either or on. it's free!!!! get it seriously!

Would be nice if you would update it!

was excited when I saw that app had a screen lock option since I had another flashlight app I used before that I used as a book light but was frustrated when I would accidentally bump it and mess up the settings. But I was disappointed to find that the screen lock seems to only be on the strobe light setting which is just plain annoying to read by. would love to see this added to the regular flashlight in a future update. Otherwise great flashlight nice and bright!
