I literally loved AudioNoteLite and trusted it so much. I have the full version too. But after hours of work on it, it crashes on me everyday. I continued to trust, like an idiot. I literally have to study all day from my work on that app and I'm doomed if when can't access my work. It's like getting an heart attack every time it crashes , then says loading then crashes again. Besides the stress the time I've spent figuring this out is priceless. This is just a warning. If your life and your future career relies on AudioNoteLite, you don't want to go through what I've been through.

I thought AudioNoteLite was for creating notes for you based on what is spoken/recorded. AudioNoteLite does not capture text for you but allows you to takes notes while recording audio. Then you can go back and review the audio and edit the notes. Not what I was looking for in terms of saving time for jotting down notes just by voice recordings. Without automation, the only feature/convenience AudioNoteLite provides is being able to hit record on the same same screen you take notes on.

The ink note taking is rudimentary at best, with no obvious ability to change the width of the ink or anything else. It's pretty apparent that it's not optimized for the Apple Pencil either.
I like the fact you can replay the recording and see what was typed or inked, but don't like the fact it doesn't start the playback with a blank canvas, instead it just highlights the ink or text in blue.
Also, there's no obvious way to highlight ink, just text.

I was looking for an app that would enable me to use the iPad instead of investing in a LiveScribe pen and expensive paper option that would record audio while taking notes.
AudioNoteLite seems to fit the bill. Even though I have to say despite not having the best handwriting, writing on the tablet even with the stylus is a far cry from writing on paper.
Having said that I also found a strange bug in AudioNoteLite . If you click on the Folders button and click Edit (which is where you would select notes to delete etc.), if you happen to tap the Folders button again it basically grays out the whole app screen and you cannot get back into it. The only option seems to be to press the iPad button to exit to the system and force quit AudioNoteLite and relaunch it. Try it out.
Glad I tried the free lite version before spending $5 on the full version, which I am likely to buy if these minor annoyances are fixed.
But those moaning about the recording time limits on a free version, try yourself developing an app that does something like this and give it away free, then complain. Those who expected it to transcribe dictation, consider reading descriptions before buying an app. Thanks.

I love AudioNoteLite thus far however I am having one problem. When I click on the highlighter to highlight something and then switch back over to the text view to type...the words that I highlighted are messed up. It may have highlighted one sentence up or down but NOT where I originally highlighted. Im not sure if this is a glitch or what but that is the ONLY thing keeping me from purchasing the FULL version. Anyone else having the same issue?

I have used a few "handwriting on your iPad" apps- my current fav is ghostwriter - and I've been really impressed with the improvements apps have made over the past 6 months - my handwriting is now legible in some of these other apps. I was looking for an app that I could connect my audio with my handwritten notes, sort of like live scribe. This isn't there yet. I'll be going back to my microsoft word + audio recording until this gets a bit better. I would give it 2 starts, but it gets an extra star for letting me try it for free, even at the reduced functionality

Would go a long way! I'm using AudioNoteLite and I accidentally clicked the pop-up notification away, now i'm lost as to how to operate AudioNoteLite and what the point is of some features. Also, it would be great if there was a way to use your bluetooth to record notes as well. Also I cannot edit anything recorded without deleting the whole thing, i'd be almost fine with just deleting the whole recording but the note, date time and location, and anything else valuable poses a much greater problem. Overall 4.5 stars!

AudioNoteLite is just what I was looking for. You can type, write, draw and/or record notes on the fly. Writing is clean with a pogo stylus. Would like to see a left handed option in settings to flip the menu bar to the right side when using landscape on the next update. If they make that happen, I'd buy the full version!

I am learning an African tribal language - not a lot of recordings avail to help my memory from lesson to lesson. I LOVE that I can set this to record and type in prompts during the lesson, then, when I'm practicing at home, I just need to tap the screen to hear the word pronounced properly.
I really dislike that I'm prompted to upgrade every time I open the program. I probably will upgrade eventually, but when I'm ready .. And I don't like being nagged about it.

I've never seen anything like this before, and it works so smoothly!! I drew a cell and narrated what I was drawing and then typed a sentence that I read aloud as I typed, and when I replayed the whole session, each drawing stroke was highlighted along with the appropriate narration in the audio, and each word was highlighted as I was typing/narrating my sentence. I don't know if that made sense.. But this is a must- have app for college students or to take notes in meetings. Great app!!

Mine crashed too w/the update today, so I deleted app & then re-installed. Perfect now.
This is a wonderful app: has text, finger-drawing, voice and now today, fotos! And can print! Try Lite version w/2hrs. limit and you'll be sold! Then email & wi-fi become available.
One suggestion to developers: have an undo button. I erroneously deleted some text and had to re-input all.
Other than that it's a five-star!

This is amazing you get a lot of cool stuff in here you could record And have fun. You can't do this type of in other apps. You could record your voice and remember what you said how awesome is that. There are a lot of cool things. Please get AudioNoteLite. In rock and roll way I got to record this so you need AudioNoteLite! Who thinks this is awesome? I do what about you? Please review AudioNoteLite if you like it. This is like the best app ever.

I hate people that write bad reviews over apps that are basic and function just fine! Not to mention free! So what more could u want! AudioNoteLite works great for what is intended. U all should be ashamed if u make negative comments when most cases it's because u do not know how to use AudioNoteLite or u don't read or follow instructions! A+++ app. Thanks to the generous creators! JK

Free app is really great. Its a little tricky when trying to figure out how to use it. There arent any instructions. For instance, i dont know how to delete a recording and not the note. Also, how to delete part of the recording if u have several recordings on one note (when u record on a note, it adds to the previos recording). There is a "hand" ...what is it for? Then, there is text that can be highlighted in blue...but then what do u do? Stuff like that. Otherwise, not bad for free!

I use AudioNoteLite by listening to my voicemails on speakerphone while taking notes,
Then I have a record of the actual voicemail as well as the ability to jump back based on my notes. Great timesaver and productivity tool. Will probably buy the upgrade for five bucks so I can email voicemails.
I love technology when it works!
by Astarrh
This is not intended to be, designed to be, or advertised to be dictation software. It lets you take notes while recording audio dictation, allowing you to click on words you typed and jump to that place in the recording to listen back. You are basically indexing your recording with your notes.
It is a great idea and works well. Worth the $5 upgrade if you attend any sort of lectures or conferences that you want to keep with you.

I noticed the iPad didn't have the voice memos application that comes preloaded in iPods & iPhones, so I searched "voice memos" and this was the highest rated free app. I checked it out and after two minutes I was truly amazed. I will definitely buy the full version once school starts. I will be a junior in high school and I have a heavy course load this year, so there is no doubt in my mind that AudioNoteLite will help. Ten stars out of ten.

This is one of the best note taking apps I've tried. I have deleted every other app I installed on my ipad since trying the free version of AudioNoteLite. I am going to upgrade to the full version which will allow for emailing notes to others. I especially like the recording feature, and the option to type your notes instead of writing if that is what you prefer. Used AudioNoteLite during a teleconference with my supervisor and one other attendee. At the end of the call, which I recorded while jotting down notes as well, my supervisor asked a lot of questions about how AudioNoteLite worked. I think she's going to get it as we'll.
Although the recording time on the free version is only 10 minutes per note, I just kept adding new notes. Reviewing each 10 minute note was as easy as flipping a page in a book.
Love AudioNoteLite!!

This should be on everyone's Pod Pad Phone, works perfect right out of the box on my IPod. Not very difficult to figure out at all, I was able to dictate and draw a picture at the same time and then the coolest thing U ever will see happens upon playback, everything I was drawing on the screen while recording was replayed as well. And this is THE FREE VERSION.
A must have for anyone that lives by post it notes and voice memos, this magically brings it all together, I would have gladly paid for what this does! Kudos to the developers of AudioNoteLite

I definitely give AudioNoteLite a strong endorsement. I use it to take notes when I meet with new clients. I am able to either type the notes (with my bluetooth keyboard) or hand write (I ordered a stylus, but haven't tested it yet).
But the feature that is most useful is the voice recording. I can voice record while taking notes, so that i can re-listen to my meeting. While re-listening to the voice recording, I can fast forward or rewind via the playback feature by simply sliding the voice bar left or right.
Lastly, I has an easy system to organize notes, which I do by client.
