That said I wouldn’t use this as an accurate testing of an IQ.
My main issue is that you go through it only to find out in the end you have to pay to see the answers to see what you got wrong. That sucked bc there were a few that stumped me and I was looking forward to see if I got them right and if not what the answer was, that is the main reason for the 3/5 score.
I also felt as if a few of them were a bit vague, as if there could have been multiple answers.
Those issues aside it was a fun way to spend 20 min.

I took an IQ test, by a doctor, and scored a 132. However, this test said that I had an 83 IQ?! Do you know how incredibly ridiculous that is?! 49 points off, FOURTY NINE POINTS. I liked the matrices and number sequences, however, I would rather stick my hand in an anemic tub of water, drink said anemic water for the rest of the day, and sink into the depths of a volcano than take this test and call it official! I know what you’re thinking. If I know my official IQ, what am I doing here? Well, I just stopped by and decided to indulge my mind in a challenging activity, as I love mental challenges. As much as I enjoyed taking this test, no. I am never going to, neither should you, call it an official IQ test.

Fun, but cruddy. Get tested by a doctor to know your actual IQ score. :)

Please make sure it is not crashing, always in middle of test it is crashing and starting from beginning.

IQTestClassic has crashed multiple times on me. I am on an iPhone 11 and have no other apps running presently.

There's different dynamics of intelligence which, we attempt to determine by measuring a person's ability to recognize patterns. If you score high on one test and not another, you maybe better at recognizing one type of pattern than another type. It depends on the types of evaluations presented on the I.Q. test you are taking. So: if you score low on an online or official I.Q test; it probably just means geometric, spatial, numerical and clerical pattern recognition are not your strong points. It's very likely: if you score low on one of the conventional tests; you have excellent auditory, emotional, communicative or physical intelligence there's, just not many tests to determine those dynamics intelligence. So, don't trip you're all brilliant in your own way!

So I took the test, and I got 8 right and 25 wrong. Therefore my IQ is 0. If my IQ was 0, then it'd be a miracle that I wrote this review! The other IQ test I took said that my IQ was 78, which is still pretty...challenged. But 0? Really?!

I am a psychologist who gives IQ tests for a living. The nice things about IQTestClassic are that it is free and kind of interesting. That being said, the test itself has very little in common with an actual IQ test and the scores don't actually tell you anything. Intelligence is a concept that encompasses far more than your ability to recognize visual patterns. Also, IQ scores are supposed to be based on data collected from thousands of people, broken down by age (because your cognitive abilities develop with age, to a point, then diminish when you're older). In order to get a valid score on this test, you would need to look at the average score of a lot of people and see how you compare to them. Since it makes no sense for developers to go through this trouble for a free IQ test, they probably took a shot in the dark at what your score should be.

If I can find a better free IQ test for iPhone, I'll let you know.

So the way the reviews work with IQTestClassic is if people get a lower iq then they want they give it a bad review and if they get higher then they want they give it a good review. The reason IQTestClassic is inaccurate is it only asks you to identify patterns with numbers and shapes. A real iq test has a lot of other questions then just patterns. If you happen to be great at patterns, then you'll probably get a good score even if you're bad at everything else. If you're bad with patterns you'll get a low score even if you're good at everything else. I'm gifted and my iq is somewhere around 140, and the first time I took the test I got 120, which is kinda accurate but pretty off. Then I took the "Mensa test" and got 57. I was laughing for 10 minutes because I thought it was absolutely hilarious. If you go on Mensa's official website and take a real demo test you'll see that it's nothing like this one. It's fun to see how off it is though.

Reading the reviews showed many who claimed the test to be fake since their scores were supposedly too low. I will not express anger towards my score because in my opinion the questions were a bit challenging at times since I have taken a wide range of IQ Tests and have never came across questions like these. I recommend IQTestClassic to people who would like to challenge themselves, and I will not recommend it to people who are serious about knowing their IQ. Go see a professional if you really want to know how smart you are.

I see all these reviews where people scored low & gave negative stars. I found this test engaging & entertaining thus merit more stars. I don't know my authentic IQ but I scored well above average & found the questions towards the end mind bending. All the first questions were no-brainers. I had to help a friend as he was taking this test & I've always considered him superior to me intellectually. This is basically a pattern based test & in order to answer the question one must dissect the given structure. To the sour pants that can not receive a score to their liking,
maybe your review is invalid because you're not professionally licensed to write a credited report.

First off, I don't want you to think that I'm giving IQTestClassic a bad review because I got a low score, because that's not the case. But, I do find it a little hard to believe that a girl who skipped a grade in school and still brought home straight As in gifted would have an IQ of 25. Aside from that, most of the questions were not a 'right or wrong' type question, and the creators of IQTestClassic decided which answer was the set-in "correct" answer. With a few different questions there could easily be multiple answers, even some that the told me I got "right". It's all about the way a certain person thinks. Just because you don't think the same way as the developers doesn't mean that you're stupid or that you have an IQ of 50. Even if I had a low IQ I find it hard to believe my IQ is 25. IQTestClassic is incredibly inaccurate, don't waste your time.

IQTestClassic doesn't deserve all the negative reviews. People are just upset because they did poorly and they can't seem to deal with that. Because I know what my IQ is from previous, professional, exams which I have taken, I can say that IQTestClassic gave me almost exactly the same result as my actual IQ (5 point variation). Whatever number this test gives you is the number you would probably receive if you took the standard Stanford-Binet test. That being said, I can easily see how taking this test while distracted or choosing answers impulsively could severely impact one's performance.

I originally received a 89 when I first took this test and I immediately started crying, it was a bad day in general, this was just the icing on the cake. So I began to practice, like trying to find geometrical shapes in unarranged objects and trying to find out if a group of objects were even/odd just by looking at them, I even listened to Mozart, and when I retook the test I got a 115! No one is born great you have to work at it. So don't feel down if you got a low score because you can improve your score, if you have the willpower to make it happen!

Ok so let me clear a few things up for everybody. There is a lot of reviews saying, "I love IQTestClassic! I got 139!" First of all, this game is completely inaccurate. I've seen kids in my class with straight C's and D's, and they get a score of 139 or something. I have straight A's, I'm in the highest math class, my GPA is 4.0, and yet my IQ is 67? Umm... No. To all the people that say you got a really high score, you really are not that smart. Identifying patterns does not mean you are a genius. You guys are just being really full of yourselves. Second, the questions don't make any sense. How is "What shape goes here" going to get me anywhere? In conclusion, IQTestClassic is really dumb, and I suggest you don't waste your time. If you are really smart, you will get a low score. If you are really dumb, you will get a high score.

Before downloading I read all reviews of IQTestClassic and saw that most were complaints about the accuracy of the test. Well it turns out that the 120 that I scored is exactly the same I scored in high school on a test administered by the state and just under the 122 I received as a freshman in college. I give IQTestClassic 5 stars in every aspect and expect that everyone else will also if you keep an open mind to your results instead of being offended because you didn't turn out to be as brilliant as your mother said you were. So I saw lots of people rate this game badly because they scored low. I got a 118, which is ok, except that 33 multiple choice questions isn't realistically going to be an accurate measure of intelligence. It's a fun thing to do but anyone who really takes it seriously, or worse, gets offended, should probably get a psychiatrist.
