This was my favorite app when I couldn’t get to a tv. I could listen to my PL team games when ever I was on the road or working in the yard. I could even listen to recaps of games if I wanted to. Now every time I try to listen to my team play I get a message telling me the game is blocked outside the UK. Thanks for making it even more difficult to enjoy soccer/fútbol in the US.

Living as I do in America, I get that I’m not really a priority audience for talkSPORT. I have been a listener of this app for years. Being six hours behind in time I was excited to be able to use talkSPORT to catch up on my favorite shows that I’m not able to enjoy live. However for the better part of the last year I have been unable to enjoy the streams without them constantly crashing and requiring rebooting talkSPORT and trying to manually get back to the place I was kicked off at. The issue has persisted through complete reinstalls and the updating to the most recent iPhone. I had faith that the issues would be addressed but instead they have gotten worse. To the point this morning that may attempt to enjoy even 3 minutes of a show required rebooting talkSPORT 5 times and it still wouldn’t work. I hate that I have to say this is unusable and should not be bothered with. Heartbroken to have to leave a station I’ve gotten so much enjoyment out of over the years, but the problem getting worse instead of better says there’s no will to correct is, so I need to find other stations who can be depended on to deliver.

Why would they have audio ads on a radio app?! Ads run non stop while you are listening. You cannot stop the ads, so while you listen to the radio, you also hear ads for Google, insurance, car dealers, etc. It is the most ridiculous use of advertising on any app I’ve ever downloaded.

I love this app, but I live in America so I don’t listen on the radio and rarely listen in real-time. But I listen on talkSPORT . I used to listen on the website (in the Listen Again section), but that was annoying because every sound bite was 30 minutes and you often needed to refresh. For about a year, talkSPORT has been the best. I listen to the SportsBar next day without fail. But when I updated either the this app app OR my iPhone recently, the pause/fast forward/rewind functions result in talkSPORT buffering. Endlessly. Then I need to kill talkSPORT and try to pinpoint (with the precision of a diamond-cutter) the exact location where I left off by scrolling the timer with my finger. It’s a mess. At this point, talkSPORT is basically unusable for me, and it’s so disappointing. This is a 5-star app otherwise, and TS is absolutely brilliant. But I have to give it a 2 due to sheer lack of function at the present time.

Note: I looked for other recent reviews reporting the same issue and only found one. So maybe it’s just me and my recent iPhone update. But now I’m stuck with the “newest” version of both the iPhone OS and the TS app. Soooo… back to the website I go 😢

Disappointed that this year I can't listen to live radio commentary in the US. In previous seasons I was able to do this. Will happily give talkSPORT 5 stars if I can get the live commentary back. Had talkSPORT for years and always loved it. I love the radio shows.

Bring on the new app. Very lack luster. Primitive. All-in-all bad. talkSPORT crashes all of the time, and the lack of the football news is terrible. This is not a good move for this app. Please work on talkSPORT. New app. inferior to older version. Thank you.

Like an earlier reviewer, I too am irritated by being prompted to sign in every time I open talkSPORT . Doesn’t remember that I already signed in the day prior.
Otherwise, the access to premier league and championship football/soccer commentary in USA is a great thing, as well as the call-in shows. App performance is perhaps now back to reliability of a few years ago, after an agonizing dip about 2 years ago. Just need to fix the sign in bug.

When I discovered this app’s Premier League commentaries online, I finally had something that made working weekend mornings enjoyable. It’s just a pain that, because I’m in the United States, I have to go to the match page on the this app website instead of just listening on talkSPORT. I don’t know if this is because of a rights restriction with EPL or FIFA, but I would like to have this issue sorted out.

Whenever I fast forward or rewind on Catch Up, the content doesn’t reload, and instead just keeps buffering. Also, if I go from Wi-Fi to LTE, or vice versa, it just keeps buffering. I end up having to close talkSPORT , restart talkSPORT , and then manually find the exact spot where I was last. Very frustrating. Please help

The update has fixed the crazy audio ads playing over the stream. Thanks for that :). However, there should be an option to play shows from earlier in the day or week. You are the “World’s Largest Sports Station” mostly b/c of your global reach so realize that a good chinch of the streaming audiences hours off of the British centric schedule.

I’ve enjoyed talkSPORT for a few years now. It’s a must have for anyone to love futbol. My only problem with talkSPORT is I can not listen to EPL matches since I’m staying the US. Can you update talkSPORT that allows us to stream the EPL games. Otherwise, I’ll have to go Tunein Radio

Great app and something that's a must for a British sports fan living in the US.

The only issue I have is they have removed the ability to listen to EPL direct from talkSPORT . Can you bring that back or deep link to the service in the US

A solid app in so many ways, however it misses a 5 star rating because the “world’s biggest sports radio” should buy the English radio broadcasting rights for EPL fixtures in more countries! Especially East Asian nations like China and Japan where there is a huge appetite for such a service :)

I’m an ardent listener, this app is a lifeline to Brits abroad but why was the live coverage removed from talkSPORT this season?
Super frustrating with an otherwise brilliant app

I’m just realizing there is a “podcast” replay feature that allows you to listen to missed show from a few days back. Which has always been a issue due to the time zone diff NYC -5hrs and so much quality shows/presenters re: Brazil, Kelly, Georgie, Barry, Andy, Cundy, Parlour etc.

The programming however, also needs a major kudos. Lee Clayton 👍👍. The new voices and melting point of perspectives Simon Jordan, Natalie Sawyer, Darren Lewis and that new young dude who from South London and does that Late Night shift and that Souf’ London documentary. I never caught his name but it’s refreshing to hear folks you can connect with having lived in Croydon myself. The change up brings about a discourse that’s as diverse as football and UK sport.

I listen religiously from 1am US till the Midnight Train and when possible after to Late Night leading back into Alan but by then I usually fall asleep. Point is it’s addictive. Love that I can catch up tho. Bravo 👏 . Battery drain it is make sure you leave your phone charged overnight. Or else 🤦‍♂️ in the a.m.

Great for an ex-pat but PLEASE bring back the ability to listen to premier league games right from an/talkSPORT !Why did you change that?? Poor decision

I find myself listening to TS more and more. Love the commentary. Love the opinions. Mixture of insightful, passionate and fun. Kinda just how sports should be. I wish the commentaries were more available and not blocked but until the rules change I’ll live with what’s available. And be very happy.

Since I discovered I could download talkSPORT as I live in Florida now, this app allows me to keep in touch with the Premier League and other up to date sports news since I left the UK , I listen every morning getting ready for work, on my to work and also on the journey back home ... All the shows give a true reflection of what all supporters think and feel about their club, keep up the great work

this app is very refreshing and awesome if you like to hear about all things football, cricket, and some entertaining commentary. I wish that it was possible for the EPL games to be streamed to America, but you can record and watch all the games on TV for now.
