Why do I have to pay money to save a popplet it is also really annoying to send and work with it to do a popplet
by Reader1718
I am having problems staying logged in to my account on popplet lite website. It keeps logging me out without warning, and for no apparent reason. Glad I didnโt pay money for it. ๐๐ป๐ก

It literally just updated today after over a year of not updating. I try to defeat the little into thing and it crashes out. I used to like PoppletLite but not anymore. And no way Iโm paying for the โbetterโ version. Iโll use other things.

please update so that it turns on iPhone. the competition does this, but I already bought this and did not want to change.

Itโs too bad to hand write with Apple Pencil on it, if you can optimize it, I will purchase.

Itโs a good app but on this free popplet you can only do one popplet and then you have to delete it to make an other popplet but besides that itโs a great app๐And the better version costs $4/four dollars

I resonate with many reviews already. I used this to take notes in a meeting today, with mixed success. On the one hand, it worked. On the other hand, I can't get the content out, and even with screen grabs it would be ineffective as it's too big. It also became sluggish as the number of notes grew. Once cluttered, it became hard to reorganize things. It would be nice to support bulk moving, as well as how it was hard to find background space to tap to move the background. But more than anything, I really would like some kind of sync to an app so I can move it to the desktop to interact with.

The reason I like Popplet is for the great potential to have a mapping app that is as visual as it is textual. As maps themselves are visual, it makes a lot of sense to make it as easy as possible to connect visual ideas. Pictures can speak a thousand words, so PoppletLite can save a lot time and effort to craft storyboards or anything else your visual imagination can pull together. I also like Popplet's interface. Not too complex but quickly and intuitively gives me necessary choices.
I use mind mapping for everything from planning speeches to writing articles and even sometimes for just planning out conversations or interviews. On my Mac, I use Novamind and even have one map that if printed out, would be over 160 pages. So the point is, I like mind mapping programs and know how to use them. They're everyday tools for me.
Right now, I think the iPad (and most of its apps) is more of a toy than a tool. Popplet is on my short list of apps that I'm really looking forward to an updated versions that can make this a serious tool for writers, artists and other creative types.

I see that PoppletLite was last updated 11 months ago but if it ever does get updated, it would just make it endlessly better if several popplets could be selected and moved around the screen.

Nice primes for an idea board and brainstorming app!
Looks very good, modern and web 2ish and offers some nice functionality.
But still quite far away from getting a 5 star rating!
Would like to have some more functionality like
- ability to export or import multiple popplet as images.
- ability to have multiple pages so we can organise different group of popplets.
- ability to snap or align with poplets.
- ability to two finger drag to resize the poplet instead of drag handles. (probably enabled inside of edit mode as a toggle to avoid interference with general zoom
- ability to add multiple items in each poplet
- fill pop lets with color fill instead of having just white.
- ability to snap the connectors at 45deg angles so it looks formal when required.
- multiple fonts, font size and color options.
And still more.
I know it's a long list. But the more I use it the more I love it, and the more I am thinking how I could make this work for me!
I just downloaded it coz it looked nice. But the premise and the functionality just blew me away!
I am an interior designer and architect and an amateur photographer and to think of the possibilities with this one is mind boggling.
Thanks again!

Four words: Undo and redo buttons. They can be reaaalllyyyy helpful when I make a mistake. But of course when I make that said mistake, Iโll have to fix it manually. PLEASE ADD UNDO AND REDO BUTTONS. PLEASE.

This is my first mind mapping app, as I've historically only used list-type apps. I love the visual experience that mind-mapping apps allow for, and this one has the extra-added benefit of being very aesthetically pleasing from a design perspective. The interface is extremely intuitive, and the ability to manipulate the orientation of the popplets with such ease shows that a considerable amount of thought went into maximizing the iPad user experience.
The one thing I think would really add to the interface functionality would be the ability to select multiple popplets and move them all at once, similar to other process-mapping type applications. Once that can be done, PoppletLite would be perfect! But even then, it's so well executed that I have given it five stars.

I've trialed various versions of MindJet MindManager on the PC each major version that comes out and they really miss the mark in terms of ease of use. Popplet takes you make to basics but does it in a really slick way.
The beta preview clearly has some missing functionality such as only having one 'board' but the paid for app will have this along with search (which is drastically missing from other apps). The ability to add images, text, drawings into the popples is simply awesome and works great zooming in and out of the board.
An export feature is required to either email via PDF or JPEG etc. I spoke to PoppletLite team and there is a web browser based app coming too for use on PC/MAC that'll be great for transporting these maps!

PoppletLite is awesome! I love the endless board and ease of use. I was able to rapidly map out a restructuring plan for my business in a few hours. Without PoppletLite, that would have taken me days. The ability to create different process flows, as large as I want, as many as I want and have them all accessible on the same board was amazing. All I had to do was zoom out scroll over and zoom in on another flow. When zoomed out it's almost like I have a bunch of different piles (i say piles because i cant think of another way to describe it) that I can work on. I can't wait to see how PoppletLite develops over time. Stock option anyone? Yes please! ;-)

I've spent many hours searching for a decent notebook app for my new iPad. I've purchased eight so far and found only a couple that may have potential (Sundry and White Notes).
Then I finally noticed this oddly named entry. And it's a combination mindmapper and note/image repository, no less. As a longtime mindmapping devotee, Popplet knocks me out! I can't wait to pay for the full version.
PLEASE consider the following features:
1. Multiple boards and full text searching, or at least tag sorting.
2. In-app web clipping with a link to return to the website from within the clipping popple. Plus hyperlinking of URLs within text popples.
3. Maybe even PDF support, perhaps having the popple containing a labeled thumbnail or icon. Then, with a click, a full-size window opens with basic PDF reading capabilities.
Popplet is a genuinely exciting, innovative approach to idea propagation, as well as information. Everything seems to work very well in this early limited version. I'm ready to become an evangelist for a fully functioning version of Popplet among my iPad-owning friends and family.

This is one of those applications that, for me, works the way I think it should and want it to. My primary use is for to do list because I can link related items in chains and assign colors to indicate priority. I also use it to take notes and make plans for projects using maps. It's great in project planning meetings. It's one of those apps that makes you really appreciate the benefits of the iPad interface. It takes no time to understand the principles and feel like a pro. I had a couple of questions for the developer and heard back from them hours later with not only answers but a great explanation of what is in development. I can't wait for the full version. It's evident Jared and his team really care about and create a great user experience. Like I said, even though it's a lite version, it has already made it to the top of my home page and along with Penultimate, is what I use to impress my Windows coworkers who think the iPad is like a tablet PC.
