This is the worst remote desktop app on the market. Nobody would use it if they had any alternative.
I have used many VNC/RDP-type apps over the past few years, but Citrix Workspaces is in a (junior) league of its own.
Citrix’s idea of how basic functionality should work — scrolling, right-clicking, pulling up the keyboard — is somewhere between “illogical” and “sadistic.” While moving around the screen, zooming, typing, and basic clicking are all somewhat functional on their own, any combination of these quickly devolves into a frustrating experience.
Among other issues, right-click requires an oddly-behaved ‘virtual mouse’. It is also impossible to set the screen resolution to anything modern, or even just sane. Even scrolling is odd and inconsistent.
Critically, CitrixWorkspace regularly “clicks” the remote-desktop-mouse when I am not trying to, ALL the time. This has severe consequences for basic UI navigation, and can have far worse consequence for user interfaces to important systems.
The entire corporate world would be better off if Citrix terminated or reassigned the teams involved with CitrixWorkspace (design, development, and testing — they all botched it), and instead bought out the developers of an app that is actually competent in this space.
