Terrible experience for foreigners

DO NOT FORGET YOUR LOGIN INFORMATION. I wanted to start using another Weibo app similar to Weibo, but I don’t know the phone number I used to register for a Weibo account years ago when I first came to China. After 2 hours with customer service (using my broken Chinese because they have no English service or instructions), I was informed that the only way to authenticate my account and re-bind a new phone number was to provide a Chinese ID card number (which I don’t have clearly as a foreigner). Customer service then apologized since I can no longer use any Weibo apps until maybe sometime in the future they allow authentication with passport numbers. Very disappointed.
Be aware: they spy your location even you choose never use my location.

I turned off the location when downloaded this app, and made sure they cannot track my location. But every day I got the local news and advertisements. Some of the videos shows not available to show if my location.
I don’t know how can they possible spy my location after I turned it off, but it is a big issue for Apple to check on, especially this is a Chinese app while used in the US.

I found it is outrageously annoying and being violated as an user to this App. My likes to certain blog will constantly disappear within a few hours or one day!!!!!! I have to re-click “ like “on the posts that I like to show my silent support. I have never used this app before until a recent event, found this App is not honest and lack of integrate when managing data from users.
Feeling sorry for those ppl who don’t have anything else to use!!
