This is the 2nd time I’m writing about this problem. You obviously don’t care about fixing the alarm issue.

I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro Max. When setting the alarm for morning wake-up, the audio turns on during the setup and there’s no way to turn off the audio without turning off the alarm. Please fix the issue if you want me to use 77WABC .

In the meantime, I’ll continue to use iHeart Radio.

77WABC has major problems. I’m looking for streaming on other sites because while listening to a talk show it seems to go off the air, then comes back and repeats what is said multiple times throughout the program time. Annoying. I enjoyed listening on IHeartRadio but had constant interruptions begging me to get 77WABC . Maybe it has COVID. Drop it.

Anytime I use it it will either stop the broadcast and start a never ending loop of commercials or simply stops broadcasting. If abc really wants listeners they need to fix 77WABC ASAP

Freaking annoying. Phone goes to sleep and 5 seconds later 77WABC stops. Who tested this thing before release?

Every time I start 77WABC it goes into perpetual commercials for at least a half hour. If you like the programming on this radio station, get yourself a portable radio.
It’s awful.

Started listening as soon as downloaded on my iPad. All controls for audio immediately disappeared. Would not shut off pressing home button. DELETED. Thanks for a useless app!

Regarding the commercials that one reviewer wrote about... abc radio on iHeartRadio is the same. So it’s not 77WABC , it’s their radio in general. As for 77WABC they keep promoting. Perhaps make it actually work before you promote it. Couldn’t even get it to open. Kept getting an oops message. Even after deleting it and downloading it again.

App does not update podcasts, news, or schedule until a force quit and restart, even with 77WABC in the foreground.

The polls don’t load in 77WABC .

One of the podcasts never gets updated through 77WABC .

Playing podcasts can only be done at 1x speed with 77WABC .

Streaming does not buffer, so there’s no reverse or pause/continue from that point. Just play/stop.

Streaming is at a different loudness than the dynamic ad that plays at the beginning, so one has to adjust it twice in the first minute.

The dynamic ad will occasionally play during the stream, while hosts are speaking, rather than at the point of a hard ad break.

Excessive heat produced on my iPhone .,more battery draw than most other radio apps. Ads play out of nowhere… annoying … The only redeeming quality is a sleep timer

Ads constantly popping up. Understood if they were scheduled and part of the programs. Very disruptive. Very annoying

77 WABC is a great station. I have been using 77WABC for a few years on my iPad but was no longer able to open 77WABC after an apparent update was made to 77WABC . Hopefully the developer can fix this issue.

I commute from Poughkeepsie to Yonkers 5 days a week. 77WABC is much clearer than am but 77WABC cuts off the traffic, weather and news for ads. And they aren't even ads just filler that you play instead of actual commercials. I don't see the benefit to the station and certainly not the listener. Not to mention even if I'm connected to wifi in the same place for hours it will stop randomly and then force me to listen to more nj diet crap over and over until it goes back to the program.

The complaints of the other reviewers are valid. I use 77WABC because Imus left fox business network and isn't broadcasted over the air in Minnesota. I use it for about ninety minutes everyday. 77WABC pauses, disconnects, suspends, and glitches at least a few times everyday. Four times already this morning it has died. Every time i reboot it a commercial runs. The podcast feature doesn't work properly all is the time. Lastly, it broadcast between a ten and two minute delay.

I have been using 77WABC since it was released. Instead of getting incrementally and progressively better, it has continued to degrade in user experience. I have now deleted it from my devices and returned to my pocket radios. I am 120 miles away from NYC, so reception is noisy and occasionally unavailable - this is STILL better than the abuse inflicted by 77WABC. The latest updates now have a series of assaults on me as a listener immediately upon starting 77WABC - first a video commercial at excessive volume, then a pause requiring user input, then a series (2-4) of audio commercials (again at excessive volume), before finally streaming the actual programming. There are plenty of commercials during the programming - why abuse me so badly when I start up your app? I now listen to John Batchelor using the KNSS app - instantly on and simple controls.

The only reason why I'm giving 77WABC one star is because is does work but only until you start toggling other apps. Then it stops the live stream, reboots, and goes directly to a 30-second advertisement - each time. It's very frustrating especially when you're listening to a show you enjoy. It's live streaming performance for AM radio is poor. Look at it this way, it's better than digging out an actual radio and fooling around with the antenna.

I don't mind free apps that show ads but WABC is absolutely abusive. The home screen is nothing but ads, there are popup ads intermixed with video ads all of which depending on your timing, require you to wait for the ad to complete before you can turn off the stream. I understand the need to monetize your online streaming but you've gone to far WABC.

It does not help that you play the same ads during every break and very often, your ads play after the normal programming has resumed cutting back to the programming in the middle of a conversation.

Show a little more respect for your listeners or allow us to listen to your programming through other streaming app again.

Get 77WABC if you have to but if you can find another local city app that carries the same programming, get that instead.

The previous version would play just fine in the foreground and used an inconvenient but reliable trick of using Safari to play in the background. Unfortunately, this version will only maintain a connection for a few minutes, foreground or background. Once it disconnects, it's up to you to reconnect manually, which you have to do frequently. I hope they are able to fix this soon as this is one of my favorite apps otherwise.

Is anyone having trouble opening 77WABC . I reloaded 77WABC but just get a "retrieving latest content" and 77WABC never opens. It was working in the morning. I'm using an iPhone. Thanks. They should have an app status available to see if their system is down. Maybe a bug that will be updated in the next update.

PROBLEM SOLVED: Deleted 77WABC and waited about 8 hours to reinstall 77WABC again. Everything is working now. Give it a try if you are having the same problem.

I like 77WABC so far and allows me to listen to my favorite shows, Hannity and Mark Levin, but when I am listening, it usually stops. In order to start again, I have to wait and press until it connects or if it takes too long, I have to press the home screen and have to open 77WABC . The people who made this might want to to fix this problem.
