Great concept

Great concept for an app that would help people with mobility issues. However, unless the police department in the area you are in participates, it is just risking confrontation and violence from the owner of the vehicle you are trying to report. (Testament to the sad state of humanity, not the developers)

After loading ParkingMobility , I checked it out a bit then spoke to my local sheriff’s office (friend of mine) about the possibility of them participating. That was when I decided to just delete ParkingMobility . He said I would be better taking quick video from a safe distance and calling them to send someone out.

Great idea, users need education

Love the idea. They really need to explain the process better before you use it. Perhaps I should have read the directions more closely but I was in a hurry to report my first abuse before I had to go to my next appointment.

My report was rejected for a valid reason- I didn’t get a quality photo through the front windshield. Sorry, due to my disability it would be very difficult for me to maneuver around and take a photo of their front windshield. So, due to my disability I cannot meet reporting requirements.

Within my support correspondence I mentioned that ParkingMobility was rendered useless “to me” for that reason. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t ask my entire (very large) family and every friend to report disabled parking abuse. I will still ask them to do so even after receiving a scathing response to my email detailing the insufficiencies in my report. Thanks, like I didn’t already feel useless myself because I cannot walk.

Obviously they need a lot of work on customer education and experience. Otherwise, great idea and particularly relevant in a large metropolitan area where abuse is constant and flagrant.

Work on your customer service if you want more stars.

Great concept, faulty execution

I love the idea of being able to report people illegally occupying a handicapped space and hopefully get them cited since even if local police were called, it’s unlikely the person would still be there when they got there. However, though I understand the need for all of the various photos, I’m not comfortable taking multiple pictures of a stranger’s car, especially in the area I live in. I don’t feel safe enough to do it. And until there are real $$$ consequences, people will continue to break the law.

Good app to have

I have been using this for a while now and it’s a good app to have for those concerned about accessibility for those who need it. I just hope they can get approval to be used where I’m at. It’s crazy how so many people will selfishly park in those spots purely because it’s more convenient for themselves.

I know someone got worried about the indemnification clause. I can understand why since it basically says that if someone decides to sue you for using ParkingMobility you will be the one responsible for any damages that person wants in compensation for parking illegally.

A Start...

Promising app but I have two recommendations that would make this even more effective:

1. Allow user to take photos from their camera library as opposed to only allowing real time snap of pictures.
2. Publish a list of the photos and location of the violation online and allow searching. That would help direct local law enforcement to violations and would also be useful to provide link to repeat offenders so they can see that their actions are harmful and not anonymous.

This app is dangerous to use!!

Asking a person to take photos of another person’s car is places that person at risk. People who are most likely to report offenses are likely to have difficulty even getting in and out of their car to complete the documentation process. For these people the process could be long enough for the car’s owner to come out and confront them. In this day and age this is a stupid idea.

I am not handicapped but I just spent time helping a lady who is handicapped learn how to use ParkingMobility. I was appalled at the risks she would be taking to complete the documentation process. I advised her to be very careful or don’t use it at all.

Not perfect, but great.

Yes, you have to take several pictures, this is to provide enough evidence that something can actually be done. ParkingMobility is great, it's the system (aka government) that's not perfect. There have been about 3 times I couldn't us ParkingMobility due to not being able to get the pics, but have probably used it 50+ times. It is a better than nothing sort of thing. I've not had any problems with ParkingMobility itself.

Great app for helping to enforce/notify those who have parked illegally in ♿️ spot!

ParkingMobility is for educational, not punitive, purposes. It helps to educate those who have parked in a ♿️ space “who are just running in a restaurant to get a call-in” that it’s not legal to do so! Also for those who park in the striped area to learn that is for those who are in wheelchairs & need space for their ramp to come down so they can exit! Think about it. Your lucky U can walk!

Effective App

Parking Mobility app is incredibly effective. Not only are the pictures clear, they are not even stored on your phone. This is exactly how it should be. The photos are legal evidence and are protected through ParkingMobility . There is no need to take back up photos to store on your personal device. It also launches quickly and has very accurate gps, which helps as you are filling your report.

Disappointed

Downgrading my review to a 1. The developer responded with “ParkingMobility only works when you use it”. Really? I used it. They don’t have connections with police departments when they lead us to believe ParkingMobility will actually accomplish something. Bad customer service!
———————————————————-
I submitted my first report in a large city and received an email that “The violations you submit now are important to:
Convince X city that accessible parking violations are a health and safety threat to people with disabilities; and
Demonstrate that Parking Mobility is the community-based educational solution.
We encourage you and your friends and family to submit all of the violations which you encounter.

We would like to work with you and your community to encourage X city to adopt Parking Mobility to address accessible parking abuse. The more violations we provide X city, the more likely Parking Mobility will become the solution for X city.”

(City name substituted). ParkingMobility does NOTHING! Don’t waste your time.

Useless

When you want to report the idiots who park in the disabled spots without displaying a placard, you are risking your safety because u never know who is the idiot. Taking pictures of their windshield and the rear of the car is risky enough so I am not quite sure why you have to do it from within ParkingMobility ? Why can’t ParkingMobility access your photo library? I have taken the photos and when I open ParkingMobility there is no way to use them unless I go out again and take the photos from within ParkingMobility ? Come on. Someone should report you for creating a useless app

Numerous reports made

I’ve used the parking mobility app for several years and have been an authorized user in Travis Co. TX. where it is accepted.
At the moment we have made efforts to get Williamson Co., where I live, also sign on.
ParkingMobility/program can help tremendously to
Stop handicap parking abuse.
Ask your doctor not to issue handicap parking permits to people just because they are either stupid or fat

Poor execution

I’ve been looking for a way to report those who illegally park in handicap spaces and thought this might be a solution. But I don’t understand why I need to register to submit a couple of pics with geotagging for the purpose of a report. In a time when personal information security is one of the highest priority issues, I do not hand out any info that is not absolutely necessary. Therefore I will not be using ParkingMobility. If the developer will rework to eliminate login and make photos and report a quick submission it could be great.

Easy to use

Downloaded yesterday when I spotted a car with no tag or plate in a HC spot. My friend is an amputee and has had difficulty finding spots. Too much abuse.
Anyway, once you get your account setup, it's as easy as taking 3 pictures. Recommend it, and hopefully it is adopted by the local cities.

Empowerment!

Easy to use, always works well for me! Great app to help push back on parking abuses: take a few photos, note the license number & location and you’re done. Download it, start using it right away. Or complete the training to be sworn in to support having a citation issue.

Great tool for solving accessible parking abuse

This is a great tool in addressing the issue of accessible parking abuse wherever are. It takes just a few seconds to snap a few pictures and report problems in your community.

NSA?!

ParkingMobility is ridiculous (email, password, pictures at that moment?! Really?!)
I just want to report abuse of ignorant people who abuse parking in the handicapped parking spaces.
ParkingMobility wants you to get beat up or get into verbal confrontations with inhuman individuals who already are selfish and abusing the system. The first review on here is the only reason it has three stars. (Because one of there tech support or creator insist on giving directions in a review)

Rude customer service

Wrote to customer service to say that ParkingMobility was not working because the guy I reported was reoffending. Their explanation was so rude! I mean for an app with low stars, they should at least try to make their users somewhat happy. I told them they were rude and they were even more rude. I am going to find a similar app then deal with these people who seem to not care about their users.

AVOID using this Program Total waste of time

TOTAL waste of time, does not take any ownership of system issues and majority of reports sent get denied without explanation...Devoted a lot of my personal time with a Program that is totally defunct as well operated by a lot of incompetent personal.. Including Mach March

I am disabled myself and to fiind after the fact that all out of state infractions do not recieve viloaitons due to the lack of proper resources..

Had more the 2 of these denials without any proper education, think this would have been caught.

Do not recommend working with this Program

Disrepectul and snarky personally, not volnteer friendly

Call 311 instead

Ridiculous level of login security

I was enthused until it expected an overly difficult password to even register. Hint to author: this is not a financial or social media app, there is no reason for maximum security. So I didn't even register and deleted ParkingMobility . Otherwise I can't comment, except that there are so many "disabled" people that I can rarely park my wheelchair van.
