Docs To Go Standard Reviews

The same time does not work well on iPhone 8+.

Functionality is disrupted and renders DocsToGoStandard not useful. It also closes DocsToGoStandard in the middle of writing an entry on a word doc. Sadly I cannot use it.

I purchased DocsToGoStandard years ago, and since I always utilized my previous backup on new devices it always was AD free. With my new phone I decided to start fresh and not restore from a back up, when I got DocsToGoStandard from the icloud, it is obviously a different version. I hate it, the ads are super long and I have to wait and then find the dumb x to finally close the thing. I will probably delete it and just use documents instead. No ads!

I really liked DocsToGoStandard up until this. What a waste.

I have used this program for several years. It has been my primary document app to use while traveling.
I have been traveling for almost 2 years now, and rarely home.
I had literally hundreds of hours of writing, many hundreds of documents, and some unique works of my own as well.
There were two desktops synced with this ipad. One was very old and no longer used. As I’m approaching full memory, I thought it would be ok to delete the old desktop.
How wrong I was. I deleted a desktop I had not used in nearly 3 years and for some unknown F’ing reason, DocsToGoStandard deleted EVERY single file I had saved, on the other, UNRELATED, desktop!! WHAT the actual F!?!?!@?

The worst. To top it off, no support whatsoever.

This was my go to app for syncing my documents from my PC to my IPad and I have used it for years, so far back I can’t remember a time without it. However I just got the latest IPad Air and the desktop app can not see it so I am unable to sync. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, done all the suggested moves on Dataviz website but nothing works. I have contacted support, no response. Now I have to look for another app to use. I am disappointed.

DocsToGoStandard does not play well with OS Big Sur. Continually crashes snd will not sync. I cab't give zero stars.

I lost all my files, after years using docstogo. Paid for Premium, now out of the blue, the application wont open!!!! So many files I have in this application! Bring it back on!

I am a writer and use my iphone as my journal of ideas, line and scenes that pop into my head spontaneously. So when I found DocsToGoStandard I was genuinely excited and rather impressed despite the steep cost, when compared to other apps. The wireless syncing was great and easy and I could use my iphone even more instead of my bulky laptop. Just pull out the phone, jot down the notes and be done. But soon there after the gleam and shimmer of DocsToGoStandard soon faded. Not only does it have many of the functional problems already visited by other reviews, but the desktop application for syncing is one of the most frustrating pieces of software I've ever worked with! Many times I'll come home and go to sync my notes and thoughts gathered through the day only to find the frick'n thing wont even launch. It took me some time to figure out that I had to remove it manually, all the way down to left over register files, and THEN reinstall it in order to get the thing functioning again. Only thing is this is a consistent problem and I have lost many pages of notes and writing due to it. The main reason I bought DocsToGoStandard is b/c I don't always have 3g or wifi access to use Google docs and the ability to syncing via wifi EASILY was to be a great help...

If I had spent 2-5 dollars on this I don’t think I'd be as frustrated as spending 10 to find this problem still consistently plaguing their community.

Yes, I paid for DocsToGoStandard.
Was expecting a lot more out of DocsToGoStandard then what it actually delivers.

Docs to Go will only move a small amount of different types of files from your ipad to the laptop or vice versa.

It will not move Video, Photos, audio type files.
It essence it can only move files like excel, powerpoint, word and PDF.

So why the high price? Beats me !
It’s not worth DocsToGoStandard store price.

Until this developer gives DocsToGoStandard a full upgrade, including being able to connect to and share the files with ANY other applicable app that is on the ipad then it will stay at a 2Star rating in my opinion.

Please update the docs to go word app. I continue to have problems with documents to go for word files that the table of contents will not work. The table of contents works fine across all of my laptops when using word for windows so I know it’s a problem in the docs to go premium app. It’s very frustrating to locate sections of opened large word files using docs to go premium on iPhone. Please help, it’s approaching over 2-years now with this docs to go premium problem. Thank you.

I believe DocsToGoStandard needs an update iOS has changed a lot within the last few weeks. Currently, I am not able to view certain documents in DocsToGoStandard . Example: a 19 pages document , I am only view 3pages.
Already uninstalled, reinstalled & resync. Problem persist.

Other than that , you guys have been great. Always reliable. Pls keep it up

The Premium version has been an App I use daily but there are unfortunately functional problems creeping in now. One example is the ability to change type colours and styles in xls spreadsheets - another is gremlins in formulating some functions.
Please, Dataviz, can you update DocsToGoStandard?

First I want to say I have been using D2G for many, many years and use it on a daily basis. I have never had any issues and would highly recommend it to anyone. That said, I recently downloaded DocsToGoStandard on a new iPhone 14. When I launch it it goes to a overlay screen saying I have to purchase (or have) DTG Premium and thats as far as I can get. I used to have DTG Premium but of course that app was discontinued a couple years ago. I have not read all the information concerning DocsToGoStandard ios app and will eventually contact support but wanted to put this out here first.

I was expecting more from DataViz, it doesn"t even have password protection, or atleast i cannot find how to do it, and your e-mail support leaves a lot to be desired by the time you go though all the steps, that take you everywhere but the right place, i just say enough and go to a more friendlly doc storage like Readdle or AirSharing. Needless to say trying to figure out the wireless sync feature is an exercise in futility. Maybe some future up-dates will help i hope so. But i really do not understand their lack of a support feature, unless of course you want to pay for it for such a well known Company it appears that iphone owners are being treated as un-important, DocTo Go really needs to rethink their support policy.

I need to make a retraction i judged DocsToGoStandard prematurely, it does what it says it will and does it very well, it has been well worth the wait. But there are still 2 things that need to be adressed by DataViz #1 there needs to be password protection added, and also much easier tech support, other then that this is the greatest. Maybe the next update could include these PLEASE. When this happens i will rate it a 5 star app. And of course the ability to edit Exel spreadsheets.

This is exactly what I needed to take my creative writing projects on-the-go. All I needed was a way to edit and write into my works in progress while traveling and during my other downtime -- DocsToGoStandard is just perfect for that. I work on a document on my computer, save it, sync Documents to Go with my iPhone, edit and write when I can, then sync when I get back. I used to do the same thing using Documents to Go on the Palm Treo and was lamenting that I hadn't found something with the same functionality for iPhone -- then someone suggested Documents to Go for iPhone! Without DocsToGoStandard, I would need to lug my laptop around everywhere, and then I probably still wouldn't get the same amount of editing and writing done on the road.

I love DocsToGoStandard, but it's not perfect. Every now and then I get annoyed by needing to hit multiple buttons to get to something I want (for instance, the keyboard) and it is a little annoying that it does not sync with a folder inside a folder that it is set to sync to. When I'm working on a long document, it doesn't save my place when I close DocsToGoStandard and reopen it, so I lose some time finding my place again.

Like I said, I am really only using DocsToGoStandard for editing Word documents, and it's pretty great for that. I definitely think it was worth the $10 I paid for it.

I use the free version to keep a few needed excel files synced from my desktop to DocsToGoStandard .

I would give it 5 stars except for the fact that it hasn't been updated to support full screen mode on my iPhone 12.

I lost DocsToGo Premium when I changed to a nee iphone, and I have tried to reinstall it from the Apps Store with
No success.

May need to know how to proceed.

It crashes lately just upon opening after hitting EDIT button before I’ve done anything. You can’t do ANYTHING to that file after that. :<

I’ve been using DocsToGoStandard with my PC for years. I love it! The one issue that I have is that sometimes I have a problem getting it to sync with my PC. I’m not sure if it a issue with DocsToGoStandard or my PC. The usual fix is to restart my computer.

I have used this solution for a number of years. It has worked great for me. It is able to open my files regardless of the version of Microsoft Office that I am using. And I don’t need to have any add-ons to open them.

If I run into any challenges the tech-support is awesome. I highly recommend it.

I just got DocsToGoStandard today and it was only $8 on the memorial day sale. I've been using it all day on excel and word files and it's been great. I've got it synced to my desktop to a folder with personal files and synced to my laptop to a folder with work files. I've worked on several files from both sources and it's synced back perfectly. I've also synced to an email, changed that file and emailed it to myself. Perfect.
I really think that the people having syncing problems are suffering from a case of operator error. Your device needs to be on the same wireless network as the computer you are syncing to. I was using another app the other day that syncs the same way. I couldn't get it to work and was getting mad. Then I realized my desktop was patched to my wired router. I switjed the patch cord to a port on the wireless router and bingo...so before you write a bad review with 1 star, be sure you know what you are talking about. It blows my mind how many stupid people own smart phones. DocsToGoStandard is awesome on the iPod touch and I'm sure equally so on the iPad. For those complaining about it's value on the iPad, why don't you wait until an actual iPad app is availible. I'm sure it will be awesome.
