So, let’s get this out of the way. Mactracker is amazing. It is LOADED with info for pretty much everything Apple has ever released. I see people complain about new products are not included quickly. Seriously? You’re complaining that the free app you’ve downloaded isn’t updated, for free, quickly enough? My response is to ask how much THEIR time is worth. Ian will get it updated eventually, but Mactracker is always a bit behind because Apple keeps releasing new products. For things in Mactracker , the amount of info is incredible. It’s saved me many times over the years. Anyway, enjoy Mactracker and marvel in how well Ian is doing to get this info out there. And just maybe, go to his website and donate some money for this free and wonderful app! :)

Honestly this is the best app Iv ever used to gain info about my Apple products. The way the info is presented to me looks wonderful, its easy to use and they keep the info updated. The best part is that Mactracker is free which is mind blowing if you ask me. Anyways I cant say enough great things about Mactracker, download it! You will be glad you did.

Just a heads up to the people who made Mactracker is that under the iPhone 8 tab it says there are only a 64GB and 256GB model of the iPhone 8 which is wrong because Apple did introduce a 128GB model about a year ago.

This “App” contains a vast amount of info on (almost) the entire line of Apple hardware & Apple software. The “but ...” comes from the fact that you will find occasional errors or just plan missing data, such as missing model numbers. Another “but ...” is the lag-time for developer to update Mactracker. It’s not like Apple puts out new products every day, yet the developer can’t seem to keep up with the latest Apple software versions or hardware models?

One more thing, why is it necessary for a simple database type of informational App like this to only support more recent iOS and, therefore, more recent Apple hardware for it to run???

For it to be a “5-star” App, it needs to accomplish the aforementioned items. “But” then again it is free! :)

Have used this as a reference for a few years now. It’s excellent for comparing Apple products and seeing detailed information that is not readily available to the average user. I found it exceptionally useful when buying a used Mac two years ago since I could find the computer with the specs I needed and match that computer’s product number to the product numbers given by sellers.

And of course, for any Apple lover or obsessionato, this is a must have! Aside from its practical applications, Mactracker provides hours of fun just browsing the content of Apple’s rich history in tech.

Mactracker is simply outstanding, not only does it work entirely offline, but there’s just so much useful information packed into a very intuitive interface with crisp images and instantly familiar native navigation. It makes checking a spec on any Apple Product a breeze and I hardly have to think about it. No more will I be browsing the web for archived information of various credibility, just to see how much ram my old laptop shipped with.

This is an overall excellent app. It’s very informative. It has just about every peice of information you can think of. It would have been 5 stars if it included a “Current Price” section like the Mac version. It is incredibly useful to reference when purchasing second hand items or selling older devices. Also displaying “Current Price” for peripherals such as the Thundebolt Display would be incredibly useful as well. It was also be nice to include the source from which prices are drawn from. Overall excellent app. I’d like to see more consistency with the Mac version.

As of this writing, there is no iPhone SE (3rd generation) listed. Even though there are many differences between it and the 2nd Gen. iPhone SE which is listed? Like different processor, Battery size and life and 5G, etc.! The phone has been out for some time now so don’t understand why it hasn’t made it into the list of iPhones! What gives? When can we expect to see this updated with the latest information on this new iPhone SE product?

Love Mactracker , some reviews have already said it and really the only thing that there is to complain about is it taking a while to get the “current” model info on there. Which is fine by me yes it would be nice to have the updated models sooner, especially for comparison etc, but the information this has and how far back it goes is pretty incredible. I use it fairly often and love it, especially for being free.

Mactracker is terrific, particularly on desktop, because there I have the power to add my own notes about the products I own. The iOS app is handy too. Use it at the Apple store when trying to compare new x model with the one at home, or when Apple tech needs to know what device at home is needing help. Or just because it is FUN to look at, read about these Apple items!

What a treat it is to have a kind human compile the full compendium of every Apple product along with the build materials used and every other little tidbits of information that make all of our lives just a little bit easier.

Mactracker is such an amazing resource for my entire Genius Bar team! Most of us have this on our personal devices, & have used this countless times to verify Maximum OS, Maximum RAM, what GPUs released with models, Different CPU GHz per model... honestly it’s been such a life saver!!
IAN PAGE PLEASE PLEASE UPDATE IOS TO INCLUDE THE NEWEST MODELS!!! It would be amazing for the retail team at apple, as so many of our resources recently have been taken away from us!! You would be a life saver!!

Being able to see info about devices you might not be able to physically see (such as family across the country) is very handy, and Mactracker is also a great casual stride through tech history. The best part to me is that there is no data collection (as if this writing) and Mactracker is free. Thank you for your hard work!

Please add a search function into the device detail page to allow quick look for specific data just because there are too many data in one page that sometimes it’s hard to only for one number like battery capacity or so.

This is a wonderful app which is incredibly useful and informative!!! I’ve used it from nearly its interception, but now there’s an iOS release of this application I have a great deal of information on Mactracker on my Mac which does allow you to export data, but this iOS application does not provide for the ability to import all the information I’ve stored on my Mac; so you get 5+ stars if you resolve the import issue with existing data on the laptop thanks

I, like many others, understand how difficult it is to keep improving, patching, and maintaining a piece of software that is absolutely free. It’s hard work, and you don’t have to be a software developer to appreciate generosity. Thank you Mr. Page for this update ( It’s been a while since the last iOS one). It’s great to have you back!

I just noticed a tiny but kind of obvious mistake on the first two prices of iPhone 6. Didn’t see a way how else to communicate this to you. KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC WORK!

Mactracker is really cool! If you ask me it’s fun to compare how products improve throughout time. For example, I looked at the first gen Mac Mini, compared to the 2020 model Mac Mini which I have. I also like it has the tagline for the product. I also like how where is no in app purchases (I think) as long with no ads (I think) Mactracker is great!

This is a great app that I’ve been using for almost 10 years and I have it on every Apple device in my house.

Some suggestions:

1- Make it more informative! There could be links to articles, pictures, comments, all sorts of fun stuff. Notes and better favorites management would be a plus as well.

2- Online database- that way when Apple releases new products it can be updated immediately instead of waiting months for an app update. It would also make Mactracker smaller and easier to use.

3- Faster search- the search feature is great but causes a freeze when there’s lots of results- even on my newest generation devices.

Mactracker is the first place I look when I want to know Apple product info. The information is organized well and is complete. I love that you can tap on product icons to hear their startup sound.

On top of all this, there are no ads, and it gets updated pretty quickly after a product releases most of the time.

I love this database app that tracks Apple hardware across numerous generations. I have it installed on all platforms that it can run on, including my iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. It gets used on a regular basis.

However, as of late, updates to the database have started to lag too far behind Apple’s introduction of new hardware. I hope the developer will be able to address and resolve this lag.

I am apple user and sometimes i need specific product the reference give you a value informations that you understand i use it often than the official website quick, easy and useful a big thanks for the developer for making it god bless you whenever you are.

It seems like this version is falling further and further behind - as I write this in December of 2019 iPhone 11 still hasn’t been added. It’s an incredible resource and the developer has obviously put a ton of work into it, but the timeliness means I can’t really use Mactracker for my professional work which is what I originally nabbed it for. I love Mactracker but I also have to give a fair assessment: right now it’s only truly good as a fun reference source.

This is an outstanding app. I learned about it years ago when I worked in Apple retail and it hasn’t left my phone since then.
Also...it is free! For such a wonderful app to be free is amazing. I’d happily pay something for Mactracker, should the dev ever decide to switch to paid.
