About Turkey Calls

Other apps will throw in a few sounds littered with ugly background noises that aren't true to the clarity of a real turkey call.

Turkey Calls is a handy application that will allow you to listen to a variety of turkey calls while hunting, practicing your own calls against real calls or just to goof around with friends and family.

This is a great tool and everything from the interface to the descriptions of the sounds were made with the turkey hunter in mind.

Some sounds are man made and others are real turkeys recorded in the wild.

Each sound was meticulously remastered to cut out any background noises and made to be crystal clear.

I answer any support requests and listen to any recommendations that will make this a really awesome app.

Don't accept any substitutes.

It is, after all, the customer I serve.

Why would you have ads with sound in a hunting app?!?

If you're going to try TurkeyCalls, you'll need to purchase it, to really try it. Otherwise, it'll run off everything around you in the woods, when the goofy ads pop up out of the blue call a Turkey in closer, from experience. Really wanted to rate this higher but common sense tells you to stick to silent ads if you're producing a hunting app, useless otherwise.

Fanomonal

TurkeyCalls works amazing! I have killed 7 turkeys in the past three years using TurkeyCalls (mainly yelp 4) but I have had no trouble with it, besides not being able to stop it once started. Would recommend!

10 minutes? No way

More like 10-15 seconds before you get an ad. Some of the sound files have a lot of white noise in the background so they’re not clean sounding. Like holding your phone up to the TV to record a sound bite. But for the price, I figured I’d give it a try.

Even after purchased, I still get ads. Deleted, reinstalled, restored multiples times and it’s still the trial version. Attempts to restore just crash TurkeyCalls . Two emails to developer are still unanswered.

Removed ads, 4 days after paying

Once I emailed them, two day after paying, ads were removed two days later.

App got updated.

I love TurkeyCalls , called turkeys from creek to field, and kinda drove some foreign turkeys nuts at the zoo.

Just downloaded this app

Just downloaded TurkeyCalls and am having fun with learning all about the different calls a turkey will make. I just started turkey hunting this year and I’m having a blast hunting and learning.

Good but audible ads are idiotic

Nothing like have a shot at a turkey ruined by by some idiotic music playing with an ad.

TurkeyCalls itself is excellent, but after that experience I was torn between buying it and deleting it on principle.

Top Notch!

The creator of these calls has done his homework. Very life like; I have no problem with getting call backs. Only my second hunt using it. I feel like these calls will seal the deal though. Buy it! 🦃

Pay the $1.99 to delete adds.

The calls are good but adds started playing through my Bluetooth speaker while trying to call in a Tom🤦🏻‍♂️

Good sounds but have to pay to remove ads

This is a good app but after purchasing they shoot you an ad which would screw up your hunt. Then ask you to spend more money to remove ads. I would’ve had no problem paying full price upfront, I just hate paying hidden fees.

Ads keep playing even AFTER paying

I liked the varied calls. But the LOUD ads while using it in the woods is not going to work for hunting. So I paid the $1.99 thinking that would get rid of the ads. WRONG. They still pop up about every fourth time and they are so LOUD. Tried “restoring” purchase but that just crashes TurkeyCalls .

Developer has not responded to emails. App has potential but right now it is obviously a scam. DO NOT PAY FOR TurkeyCalls!!

Bye Bye Primo

Primo calls would not interact well with my Bluetooth and an external speaker. TurkeyCalls is far superior with a wide range of calls, versus only 5 that Primo had. Bought it, dumped the ads which will save on data and battery time. Love it!

I bought the remove adds

I paid for the adds to be removed and they still play on app so don’t pay the extra money it’s a scam

By

Good calls

Good calls for free, if you don’t want to buy TurkeyCalls for ad free just put your phone on airplane mode. Ads can’t pop up without internet. 🤯

By

Big Old Bird

Out and about I get the privilege of crossing paths with Hen, Jakes & some of the biggest Toms I’ve ever seen. I pull out the phone play a segments and listen to the these two dominant males replying. It’s been fun, great app.

By

Poor Quality

The sound Quality is not great. I would not want to use this as a electronic call It would run Turkeys away. I only looked in to TurkeyCalls to help teach my son. But the Adds are ridiculous and I will not purchase because in my opinion TurkeyCalls is not worth it. Better quality out there for free

By

Great calls

Even works great when the Grand Kids need a little distraction. Worth every bit of $1.99!

Did not work for us at all

I don’t know if I’m the exception or the rule. We cannot get TurkeyCalls to work at all. There are no sounds. We’ve tried from iPhone 6s to 10. Installed app/ reinstalled & rebooted phones, blah blah blah.
We’re on a fiber network & fast WiFi so I would assume it’s not network speed. Anyway, worst two bucks I ever spent. Can’t expect much for two bucks right?

It closes!

I’ve used TurkeyCalls for a couple of years and have removed ads. But now TurkeyCalls just closes when I tap a type of call. What’s the deal? It closes every time. I’ve deleted it and downloaded it again but it still closes.

Turkey decoy call

Paired with a Bluetooth speaker and TurkeyCalls and you got yourself a great turkey call for bringing those prize gobblers within range. Have had great luck using it for hunting.

By

Why would you put ads in it

I know this happened to a few people that had TurkeyCalls but I was trying to look for turkeys to see if they are still there for hunting season using TurkeyCalls, then a add comes blaring on my phone, welp if a turkey was there it sure is long gone from the property.

By

Attention getting

With all the choices I definitely get the gobblers attention. I especially like the fighting purrs offered.

By

Turkey calls

Man this is an awesome app to learn how to do turkey calls and my 8 year old grandson has been practicing so he can someday call.

By

Sounds great

Let you know later how mad it makes my wife, that’s the real test .😁

By

Crashes on iOS 13

Great app! Lots of calls and worked well - until the iOS 13 update. Completely non-functional now. It crashes every time I click a call.

By

Invictus

Haven’t had enough time to truly test but am just now out on my place , Saw several Toms so download the ap. I’ve played two or three calls, waiting to see if they take the bait.

By

Plays LOUD ads while you are attempting to call a turkey.

What can I say... we are quiet, hunting and suddenly instead of a turkey call on comes an ad playing loud. They should screen their ads. Don’t use TurkeyCalls if you want to see any turkeys nearby.

By

Realistic sound

Good app for the casual turkey hunter that is hunting for hogs or other game during turkey season.

By

The best turkey call app

Tried several paid & free. This is the best of all

By

Buckeyedave

Awesome app!!

Double Beard

All around good app. Some calls sound like recorded turkeys others sound like they were made with a call. All of the calls are way too short in duration. They need to repeat at least 3-4 times. There is a rhythm and cadence in turkey calls that is as important as the sounds themselves and this is not possible to hear in these short call sounds. Listen to the other app called "Free Turkey Calls" with the picture of the gobbler for a much longer call sequence and you will hear real turkeys as they sound in the woods.
