Follow these steps to resolve intermittent MotionX GPS app issues:

Force Stop the MotionX GPS App
1. On android, goto "Settings" » click MotionX GPS app. » click "Force Stop".

Update MotionX GPS to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear MotionX GPS App Cache and Data:
1. On your device, goto "Settings" » click "Apps" » select "MotionX GPS app" » click "Storage" » click "Clear Data" option. This Clears both data and cache.
2. Relaunch MotionX GPS.
