RingItUpUniversal isn’t opening anymore

This used to be a great app. Been using it for about 5 years. Even emailed back and forth with the developer a few times about tweaks and upgrades. None of which ever came to fruition. Now it just seems to be falling apart. Starting today, I can’t even print anymore because the PDF piece of the software is no longer working. Email works but it no longer automatically attaches a PDF version of the quote/invoice. I guess I could say I “got my money out of it” but it’s just really annoying that I now have to go look for other invoicing software that will HOPEFULLY but PROBABLY NOT be able to import all my stuff from here. 😩😩😩

ALSO, their website now says “Error establishing a database connection” 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Should have seen that last review in 2019 to get the heads up that developer support for RingItUpUniversal seems indeed dead... Emails were sent and no reply. Website no longer accessible... Apple support can only say to keep trying... Here is a 2021 review saying you may want to avoid installing this. May not open anyway as it did not for me when helping a small business owner... A feature request would be that Apple initiates the a heartbeat monitoring process with developers updates and support and notify customers so they do not get orphaned when they drop support...

I have used RingItUpUniversal for years now and it’s worked great until recently and now, it won’t even load up. I am happy with RingItUpUniversal but very disappointed that there is no tech support. I don't want to dog RingItUpUniversal , just want some help figuring out why it stopped loading

I’ve used this for 5 years and highly recommended it to others. However, in the last year, they do not respond when I email about a problems. Others have had the same experience. Also, Gmail addresses put all my I invoices with a PayPal link into my clients junk mail, which is big problem for me. So I’ll be switching.

There hasn’t been an update in over a year, RingItUpUniversal opens only sporadically. What a shame. This used to be a top-notch app. It’s a very expensive app to suddenly no longer work. It’s now worthless for its intended purpose.

And it just went blank!! Can’t access all my invoices and reports. Been using it for years and made it work for me. But now I am at risk of loosing all my invoices for the year. Terrible situation to be in.

Black screen and won’t open RingItUpUniversal . I have all my client booking history! App developer site doesn’t work for help either.

I cannot access app it won’t open and cannot contact support or developer please help

Ive only upgraded to Basic because the free version does a poor job at allowing any real chance at testing it. So far after a month of using it alongside regular sales operations, i am happy with the results with what I need it for, although this may not be the same for everyone. I don't yet need to accept credit cards or carry a diverse product base with bar-code databases (which RingItUpUniversal, in conjunction with partner apps, does) but because my business is growing I will be certainly looking at these features in the near future. A few ideas: I believe the products page needs to be more manageable, such as color coded tags and sections, and promotional or bundle pricing options that wouldn't be a pain to put together. A more cut and dry, maybe even customizable sales interface thats quick and easy to use at POS, then can switch to view all transactions in chronological order or filtered by product category, salesperson, individual product and such. Also the tabs along the bottom need to be able to stay repositioned instead of resetting every time RingItUpUniversal is re-opened. I'll re-review as more updates or important ideas come up just keep up the good work!

App no longer works. Black screen only. When you click on app support the link does not connect.

Now it won’t even open & developers website won’t load...sad indeed...had to switch to Square...

I get a black screen on each device and different versions I use. All gone?

No support, app not working, lost all my data

I have the product on my iPhone and on my iPad and i have been using it for the last couple years (i believe since it started being available on the apple store). The product is awesome but i have been asking for two years to be able to set price levels to different customers and i don't know why it hasn't been done yet.
We may want to give different prices to different customers without having to go back to previous invoices to check the previous price we gave to certain customers, Different prices should be automatically connected to customers that we assign the price to, and when we assign an invoice to a customer, his special prices should pop up automatically.
And one more thing why did they cancel in notes the "invoice printed" message that stays there to see. How can we be sure that we did not forget to print an invoice that we got????? We do print a lot of invoices remotely without being able to see if they printed at the warehouse or not. So now we have to check what was printed and what was not to make sure that we have sent all the day's invoices to print.
I would give the product five stars in a blink if they fix these two issues.

I had some printing issues with RingItUpUniversal and Fabio at Ring It Up really did his all to help me. It's a great app and I use it to write orders at the trade shows that we exhibit at. There are a few tweeks that I'm hoping they'll make such as allowing me to check the customers shipping info within the order writing mode. This is a function that is essential when writing orders due to the fact that customers periodically change locations since the last time they placed an order. I would also love it if there was a credit card number capture feature using the camera like some other apps have instead of having to manually enter the number. Being able to capture credit card data to be processed at a later date should be an integral part of the functionality of RingItUpUniversal. As it stands you can process credit card payment on the spot with RingItUpUniversal which is fine for retail type transactions but pretty much useless for trade show transactions where both the shipping charges will be calculated and items ordered will be shipped at a later date.

Personally I've been using RingItUpUniversal for almost 4 years, owning the iPhone app first, then the iPad version (I wasn't aware of the Legacy version upgrade at the time), and everything within RingItUpUniversal is great. I would definitely give this 5 star rating if they would just implement PayPal payments, or Square support. I used to really like the support built in for Innerfence's CC Terminal, but since Innerfence completely screwed and isolated their customers trying to get an "Extra" piece of he pie for themselves, I won't use the reduction anymore.

The support by this company is remarkable, even emailing me back on a weekend when I sent them a question. This company supports their users the way that all companies should.

I've been meaning to write this for awhile, I have been using ring it up for over 18 months. I looked into buying a point of sales system $1800+, that wasn't an option. I tried every free POS app.... None of them did what I wanted them to do. Finally I took the chance on Ring it up. I had never paid this much for an app. But I'm glad I did. I've personally recommended it to other people getting ready to start a small business, so I thought I might as well make a public review online. When I first bought RingItUpUniversal I was a little overwhelmed probably because i wasn't familiar with iphones. I use it on an ipod, I pretty much got it for that reason. But the creator spoke with me plenty of times to get me through. He's a class act. I hope he develops more business apps. Best wishes, Your ring it up fan in NH.

This is looking very good so far. I messed around with it for close to an hour yesterday. This fills most of my needs as a computer consultant. There are a few
Things that it really needs to be my end-all solution, however. I'd like to see labor added, where I can specify my set hourly charge (and even better, special prices for particular times) and have it add that to the bill based on the time that I then put in when creating the bill. Also, I'd really like the option of a standalone customer database, giving the option to import contacts. I don't want all my customers in my contacts. I did give it a five, as it is very good and does everything it says it does very well. If you can make a parts database, I can't imagine a customer database would be very hard.

I have been using the pro version since it came out, several years ago, to run my farm, and market meat sales. It has worked almost flawlessly during this time, and when there are bugs the developer quickly fixes them. The developer is also quick to reply to any questions that I have. That's critical when for an app like this.

It's so nice to quickly ring up a sale, and to have a record of that transaction. I also can easily look up how much was sold for any period of time so that I can better judge future sales, and cash flow.

Yeah, there are other apps that offer back end data sync, but you typically pay for that, in the range of $40+ per month. I don't need that. Otherwise, RingItUpUniversal does almost everything the expensive POS systems do.

No more customer support - no contact with developer - multiple problems with updates to ios - should be removed from app store

Now no printing or emailing with ipados update - and no support for some time now - developer clearly has no intention of continuing to support -

RingItUpUniversal is a must have for anyone with a small business who is constantly on the go. If you don't have the time or the patience to sit at your desktop and complete your billing RingItUpUniversal is a dream come true!!! Great functionality and ease of use make this a winner. The developer has bent over backwards with quick response times to questions, on support alone it gets five stars! More then that if you have difficulty keeping up with your billing you will find yourself glued to RingItUpUniversal, it actually becomes fun because it's so easy to send out an invoice! If your work keeps you in the field more then in front of your desk (which means your good at what you do) then you will find RingItUpUniversal to be indispensable, and you will see the checks in your mailbox that much sooner!!!!

I initially chose RingItUpUniversal over several others based on some of the features such as tiered pricing and ability to sync to the iPhone. The drop box integration and data import features are also great. There were a few tweaks that I was hoping could be made so I emailed the developer. I was surprised when he contacted me directly and immediately initiated several of the changes I was asking for. And when he released an app update with even more of the changes, I was blown away. So far I'm finding this a stable and well-designed app that is more powerful than any of the others I reviewed. Ring it up is making quoting and orders go smoothly for a change.

I have been using RingItUpUniversal in my guitar store for 3 months now and I have ZERO complaints! It does everything I need and it does it very well. Linking it to dropbox is a huge plus, I back up my inventory and contacts every night and can access them from work, home, iPhone, computer, on the road etc. I am never without my inventory or customers. It's very user friendly and the tech support that comes with it is incredible! I use the Bamboo Bluetooth printer that links with the Redfin app. I would defiantly recommend this to anyone who wants a great POS software that's easy to use, looks professional and works exactly like it should. A+ to the developer!

I just tried RingItUpUniversal for about an hour and I must say it is perfect for my photography business. I was able to add packages and seperate products. The changes I would want prior to purchasing the full version are: option to show only what was purchased, option to change the sales date as I am also playing catch up most of the time, correction of tax being added to the "other charges", this of course may only happen in the free version. I had that part turned off and it still added tax to it. Otherwise its a great that I WOULD buy if these changes were made.
