A recent update has made “easy” the only games that can be solved. I wish I could go back. I used to get through medium games in about 10 minutes. I rarely did hard puzzles and I rarely did easy puzzles. No easy is the only puzzle that can be solved and I’m losing interest in a game I probably played for more than 10 years

I have been playing and enjoying this Sudoku game far more than any other version I’ve ever tried. It is a great way to kill time in a waiting room, and I always strive to complete a game in the shortest possible time, which up to now is 4:38.
However the latest 2.1 version changed the difficulty algorithm and now I am finding that some the “easy” difficulty games impossible to solve without guessing and using the guess if correct.
They need to reexamine the new difficulty algorithm and revert back to the previous version since it appears version 2.1 generates some “easy” games that can’t be solved without guessing.
(As a rule, even the most difficult game should have a unique solution that is discoverable by the constraints without guessing, where accepting a hint should reveal the overlooked constraint that forced that choice, and the only difference between easy and hard games being how obvious the constraints are.)

Four levels of difficulty, but only a limited number of puzzles.
Some nice feature options: choice of color schemes, correct/incorrect indicator, and 'notes' which puts small numbers (for possibilities) on a 3x3 grid in each box which are then erased as each possibility is eliminated.
Would like an 'automated entry' feature which would automatically enter the last remaining possibility in a box. What I mean is that 'notes', the possibilities you entered in each box, are reduced as they are eliminated by other boxes being solved, but when only one possibility remains you must manually enter it as your solution for that box. I want the option for the final possibility to enter itself, so that they would 'fly', reducing the tedium of the 'hunt and peck' of doing them one by one - after all you already went through that making the 'notes'.

This is my favorite sudoku app. It’s fun and keeps track of your best time and average time. When you make a correct selection, it removes that number from any conflicting possible fields you have marked. There are literally NO ads, so it’s not a money maker for the developer, which may be why there seem to have been no new games added. Two games frequently pop up, which I now skip, because I realized I had memorized them through repetition. The last update was three years ago, so it looks like no new games will be added.

Prior to the change of completed games (10 to 12 games), labeling of levels (Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert) was relatively accurate; however, now, they are not.
I could do Medium games in a 5-7 minutes, often without using the note function (very handy tool) and no errors, but a “Medium” game I just finished was probably an Expert level as the basic rules were depleted and even looking for pairs did not help much. This game took almost 40 minutes with a couple of errors.

Very simple and to the point little app game. Very easy to use to get your puzzle fix. Have had this game for at least 10 years on multiple devices. Still one of the only games I have that follows me on what every new device I’m on. Thank you!

I’ve had SudokuSE for quite a while - but just started playing Sudoku again. SudokuSE was great to relearn and progress through various levels. Not sure how good it is for experts since I’m far from that level

This version of Sudoku has everything I was looking for - notes, pause, and a variety of difficulty levels to choose from. Best of all - no ads. One of my favorite apps.

Have been able to do all 10 in each level... now working on setting best times... been awhile since playing, and set two best times today... June 5, set a new best time today, would like to see deeper analytics as to time of day, when records were set, I believe I’m sharper in the mornings, than later in the day... thanks for all your efforts. Still working to beat best times, and lower averages... hesitant to clear past games, as is interesting to see averages continue to drop...

I’ve been playing this Sudoku game for years now. I love the fact that you can mark the squares with possible solutions while you’re figuring out which number actually belongs in that square. This is the best Sudoku game I’ve played.

I enjoy this version bc it has several difficulty levels and options such as turning on and off incorrect answers. It’s fun to try to beat your personal best time too.

I've had this game for years. For a while I thought the expert boards were getting too easy but then I realized I hadn't done an update in quite a while. Now they're much harder and I'm in love with it all over again!

TY, TY, Thank you for this update!
Recently, when the iPhone updated, this game wouldn’t even open. I’ve played this game for a number of years. After downloading about 6-7 other games I couldn’t find anything to compare.
So thanks again for updating!

It’s Sudoku…. When I like to focus on something else. I like the timer and trying to beat my last/best time. I also like to try the harder ones and figure out the best way to logically figure it out. I never like to guess!!!! 🤣

I enjoy this game much more than I should. I like the set up and schematic.
I would like for the game to be expanded a bit to include the larger sudoku puzzles (interlocked crosses and such). I would like more puzzles…
It might be nice if it had a section where the logic behind sudoku is explained… but that’s for beginners.

Over the years I have tried at least fifteen different Sudoku apps. This one is by far the best...simple, straightforward and easy to use. The only thing that could make it better would be the ability to use it in landscape as well as portrait format.

I like the notes, and how easy it is to switch to. I appreciate that it doesn’t highlight the row/column you tap on, every other app I’ve played has had that and it is really distracting.
I like the fact that I can customize my game in various ways, it’s just like doing sudoku in a book.

I’ve also had this for probably almost a decide since my iPhone 4. Works on a plane no data connection needed. Advertisements aren’t obnoxious in free version, and actually I kind of forgot they’re even there.
Every so often I get stuck, but it’s really quite fun and a challenging little game to get your brain thinking again.

for setting a great example to all developers. This game has a clean UI, runs fast, and is easy to use; top notch. This Free version doesn't have as many puzzles as the pay for version, but the pay for version has so many puzzles in each level, I will never get bored. For only $2.99 you can't go wrong.
The game sells itself ... and sold me to pay for more. Great job to Mighty Mighty Good Games!

I’ve been playing this game for years. Recently they made a really nice improvement, and that is when you have found all of a given number that number becomes muted in color on the bottom list .

Timing stops when not in foreground and note-taking is easy. Only criticism is that the difficulty levels overlap somewhat, but that could be based on my own style of play.

There’s a lot of versions of this classic game, and this one is exactly that, classic. I’ve had SudokuSE a very long time and play so often I’m usually trying to break my average speed. Features I like, format and graphics are easy on the eyes, the duplicate hint markers disappear when the same number is solved in the same block or columns, and this game doesn’t count wrong moves if you happen to fat finger a number by accident. I’ve tried other versions, I just keep coming back to this one.
