S1 S2 Controller Reviews

I got the 3-day trial which turns into a $30/year cost. Apparently, I could skip the free trial and give them less money ($25) for lifetime use. I guess it's cheaper for a lifetime because you only realize you're chested after you bought it.

S1S2Controller does less than Apple Music or other apps I have for free or a lot less. Under settings you'd expect an equalizer and other sound & speaker adjustments. Nope you get a link to rate the, a link to a privacy statement, terms of use, and a link to more apps I certainly wouldn't get. There are no settings to be had. I've had S1S2Controller for minutes of surprise, but it will be gone right after saving this review.

Totally un usable and user un friendly. These systems are way to expense to have such un developed software. Its obvious the goal of the software is to squeeze you for more money even though they already got your money from the purchase. Sonos is waste of money in a sea of good speaker systems.

Are you kidding me? I have to pay a speaker company to not endure advertisements! You are not the streaming company- you are simply the sound device! Better quality speakers available that are not charging me extra to simply do their job.

I’ve had Sonos for years and it’s been the same crappy connection. Every time I’d call they would tell me it’s my WiFi channel this and WiFi channel that. So I’ve given up with spotty service.

The upgrades have been a joke and I feel like it only makes the connection worse.

The speakers have blown on me and there is a lousy warranty and they want me to buy another with only a small discount. Horrible company, horrible customer service. It’s only a matter of time before they sink this ship and something better comes along.

They have aggressive ads that continuously pop up and then want to charge a fee to make them go away! High end expensive speakers that have an app plugged with freemiums?!? Do better Sonos, do better.

S1S2Controller is less than worthless, it does not do what it implies, it simply plays music, which you can do with any app. It asks to track your usage across apps, and attempts dishonestly to get you to pay more per month than Apple Music, for something that is likely free. I don’t know where they are getting 5 star reviews from.

Too many ads in S1S2Controller and i cannot for the life of me get both of my speakers to connect. I have already bought the speakers, i shouldn’t be prompted to pay for more services

I want to use my Sonos and it said I didn’t have any speakers connected, none and I’ve been using Sonos for years. I can’t my speakers at all it either wants me to purchase some or I have to list every speaker and register them. Why? Was there an I didn’t know or some glitch. My Sonos is useless and I’m not sure how to fix it.

Would not connect. Could not cancel the fee - but will keep trying.

Unable to play songs and surf or receive calls while play songs.

It advertises as a free app and you cannot even download it without making a payment. Pathetic.

What is the problem with Sonos App?

S1S2Controller should not be required to start my sound bar that is connected by fiber optic cable directly to my tv—but—apparently it is required.

Can't reach my own Sonos music using S1S2Controller. Poorly designed and only redesigned to add Advertisements.

S1S2Controller is useless. I will probably switch to a Bose sound bar which I am testing next.

I paid for the speaker

Difficult and Annoying to set up. Not user friendly at all. Required additional hidden fee and not something you can take far from the house. Would not recommend.

Your ap stinks. It forces you to join ANOTHER music service. What a scam.

The Sonos system is complete GARBAGE

I’ve spent many hours attempting to make my costly Sonos system work. It’s been 2 years and even with starting a new account I can’t make it work.
I have to blame the challenges on the software interface.

This is the worst app. It’s hard to use and only works if it’s running as the only function on the phone. Unbelievably bad

App offers little control over speaker. My Sonos Five began life this morning with solid bass. After using the “room adjust” feature, the treble remains but the bass is gone. Now I see no way to get it back. Where did the Settings Option go? Does Sonos think that letting customers guess at how to control speakers is a good way to do business, OR IS IT BETTER TO PROVIDE DYSFUNTIONAL APPS? No directions are available to do much of anything. Maybe I will just return it and get a receiver with normal bookshelf speakers.

Sorry, I was using the speaker setup app instead of the main Sonos app, and that was the source of my frustration. All good now. It is late and I am tired. Poor time to write a review.
