Not adhd friendly

So I tried the fabulous app for a bit and saw that they had an adhd app too and tried it out. 100% waste of time. Essentially makes the mistake that every adhd app/planner makes and basically just says “do the thing” without any incentive or accountability. Seems more like a glorified day planner and I felt that the quotes for inspiration were a bit much. Very self-help vibe that sounds great in theory but doesn’t actually help. I was also a bit weary going into it trying out the free trial but was a little comforted by the fact that it said they will remind you when the free trial is coming to an end bc duh adhd people forget. Guess what never came? The reminder to cancel the free trial. Got billed for it and had to contact apple for a refund which is way more work than I wanted to do. Clarify is not user friendly either I didn’t see any place to cancel the subscription I had to go through apple for that as well. Very confusing and frustrating trying to navigate all of this.

Overwhelming, confusing, preys on ADHDers

I started a trial of this app through an instagram ad, which I shouldn’t have done. But it took advantage of my impulsivity. Clarify is overwhelming with a cluttered home screen and tons of different visuals. The activities come through with animations where the speed can’t be controlled, so I would read the screen and be waiting for awkward beats for the next part of a sentence.

I disagree with the idea of a paid trial and shouldn’t have signed up to begin with. Clarify tells you how much it costs them to pay their team during the trial. I get this in concept, but your product should be great enough that the conversion rate to paid subscriptions sustains the operation without asking people to pay in just to try. It’s portrayed as pay what you want, but I didn’t see an option to pay $0.

Also, you have to unsubscribe online instead of being able to manage it through your settings on your phone like other apps. This seems intentionally difficult and like a way to ensure people forget about the trial and pay for an auto renewal.

Overall, I was so overwhelmed by the animations and options that I couldn’t get started and instantly found Clarify demotivating. I also felt ashamed that I impulsively spent money on yet another thing marketed towards ADHD, which is known to cause impulsive spending and seems to be a target for so many companies.

Predatory Scam

I downloaded the fabulous in August 2024, I tried Clarify for a few hours and quickly learned it wasn’t for me. I reached out to customer service and canceled and within 24 hours got a nice response saying it was taken care of. What they failed to share is they had started accounts with their sister apps like this app and have been charging my card between $30-$40 each month. Somehow they are charging my Apple Card but it’s not showing up in my Apple Pay transactions. What’s worse is each time I follow the instructions to cancel it creates a NEW account. I never thought an app targeted for mental health would be out there to intentionally ruin the mental health of its users.

TLDR: total scam. Will fraudulently sign you up with additional accounts and you can’t stop them from continuing to charge your card even after you have in writing that the account has been canceled,

ADHD TAX

Clarify takes advantage of people with ADHD because the only way to cancel your subscription is to go to the *website* You can’t even cancel it through Clarify and it doesn’t show up on your subscriptions on Apple. I signed up for the “free trial” and then actually did remember to cancel it a few days later but couldn’t find it in my subscriptions so figured maybe I had already done it or maybe I hadn’t actually signed up for it (those with ADHD will understand this struggle) Soooo then when my bank account got charged for $25, I realized that I have been fooled. I finally just canceled it, but be warned! If you plan on just trying it for a few days, remember to go to their actual website to cancel NOT Clarify or your Apple subscriptions like a normal application. I don’t see any reason why this would need to design their cancellation process this way other than to try and scam people out of money.

Preys on people with ADHD!

They gave me a one month free trial and then sent me emails saying things like “this is our last email. We’re sorry to see you go!” before charging me $40. It was very deceptive and they’re obviously banking on people with ADHD to not keep track of their subscriptions in detail. I didn’t actually find Clarify that helpful either. About developer response: They didn’t respond to my email request for a refund and denied my request for a refund through PayPal. I used to be a fan of the fabulous app, but this experience has been terrible. I’ll give the website help center a try and update with whether I get a response there.

Edit: Just got a response from the help center: “After careful consideration, I regret to inform that in line with our T&Cs, this purchase is not eligible for a refund.”
If I could give them negative stars at this point I would. Not just deceptive emails but deceptive responses on Clarify Store too. Shame on them.

Profits off of “ADHD tax”

Honestly I think Clarify took advantage of my ADHD. I first tried out the Fabulous app, which was so aesthetically pleasing, it lead me to try Clarity as well. Although it’s so pretty to scroll through, it’s overwhelmingly confusing. It reels ADHD minds in by being new, cute, and full of promises, but is actually so difficult to use, so we move on and forget about it, then get a huge app charge of $40 (which is for just 3 months too) after just a 7 day trial. I SWEAR when I signed up, it had a promise that they’d allow a refund with no questions asked, to make it more ADHD friendly, which made me less worried and conscious about the trial ending. Apparently not because they immediately denied my refund request. They also make it very challenging to find where to unsubscribe (have to use the website, which works poorly, instead of Clarify ). I can’t tell the difference between Fabulous and Clarity and they BOTH charged me $40. So I’m out $80 and feel like a fool. Real helpful for a person with the type of brain you claim to support.

Do not recommend

I would give 0 stars if I could. Despite never activating the subscription via an email sent when I first signed up, I was still charged, and when I contacted customer support, they couldn’t locate my account (because it wasn’t activated). I had already canceled all my Apple subscriptions in Apple Subscriptions” on my phone including Fabulous, months ago when I first signed up, and my account showed that the subscription would end in November. However, Clarify didn’t specify a year, leading me to believe it was November 2024—when in reality, I can only assume it meant November 2025. If I had already paid and canceled, why am I still being charged monthly? This isn’t a contract requiring a full-year commitment. If the subscription is canceled, payments should stop. Customer service was unhelpful, despite Clarify claiming to offer refunds for users who “forget to cancel”, which is misleading for an app marketed as ADHD-friendly. In addition to all of these Clarify is and all of its sister apps are difficu

Confusing and visually distracting

I have a really hard time using Clarify and just don’t get any help from it. It has so much going on visually that I my brain can’t figure out what to focus on. I also get lost trying to find the various support tracks or plans. It basically comes down to being a timer with music for focus work, which is 100% ineffective if your “deep work” focus needs are not in one desk-like place where you can use the timer to remind you to stay on task rather than using your phone for something else. When you need support to stay focused when unpacking/organizing your house while managing contract work tasks, kids’ schedule’s and their various medical/therapy appointments, a phone timer is not going to offer anything more than my kitchen timer already does.

The various learning modules are kind of like an enthusiastic cat poster with a yoga vibe- every single concept I have already heard many times before. If a pep talk is all I needed to improve ADHD symptoms, I think I’d have been good long ago.

I do give it a second star for offering coaching access within the program, though it also requires too many steps for me to effectively use- a day or two to hear anything back regarding the initial request, and then you have to use a different, out-of-app, platform altogether to access the coaching communications.

Don’t waste your money

I’m a Fabulous app user and loved how it was set up. It really helped me get centered throughout my day until I could do all the things automatically. I was excited when the ADHD app came out as I am always learning how to externally manage my lack of executive functioning due to ADHD. After two weeks of content the ADHD education stops and you are back to choosing from the same journeys and coaching from the fabulous app. There are daily group chat questions but it’s the same questions just asked in a different ways. They wouldn’t give my $40 back saying that was the cost of Clarify for the full year. I don’t need Clarify for a full year if you only get two weeks of content associated with ADHD. So now I have paid for premium fabulous and this app and they are basically the same. Disappointed and frustrated with the creator. There is so much more you can do with Clarify. It’s a shame you released it before it was ready. I was told more was coming. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Until then I recommend saving your $40 until they can produce a full scope of content.

Good Concept, Needs Significant Improvements for Usability

I recently tried the this app ADHD app, hoping it would be a helpful tool in managing my ADHD. However, I've found that Clarify could use some serious tweaks to better serve its target audience. The amount of reading required is overwhelming for someone with ADHD. It would be extremely beneficial if the text could be paired with audio playback, making the content more accessible and easier to digest.

The habit tracker, which should be a central feature, is frustrating to use and far from user-friendly. This tool is essential for helping users like myself stay focused and manage daily tasks, yet its current setup just adds to my irritations rather than alleviating them.

In conclusion, while Clarify has potential, it needs to better accommodate the needs of its users by reducing reliance on text and improving the functionality of key features like the habit tracker.

Great app for managing ADHD

I’ve been a subscriber to the main Fabulous app for almost a year now, and I originally started using it to help manage my ADHD. Thankfully I’ve been able to manage my ADHD quite well lately so Clarify did little to improve my ADHD after a week of using it. With that said, I would still recommend if you’re struggling with managing your ADHD because it’s more targeted for that. Otherwise, I would recommend just sticking with the main Fabulous app because it has similar content and you definitely get more bang for your buck.

Mr

I recently had the opportunity to try out a new software designed to help individuals with ADHD, and I am impressed with its effectiveness and user-friendly interface.
The software is designed to help individuals with ADHD stay focused and on track, providing a variety of tools and features to assist with task management and organization. One of the most helpful features is the ability to set reminders and alarms to help individuals remember important tasks and appointments. Additionally, the software provides a visual representation of tasks and schedules, making it easier for individuals with ADHD to see their progress and stay motivated.
Another great feature of this software is the ability to customize the interface and tools to meet the individual’s specific needs. This allows individuals with ADHD to tailor the software to their unique challenges and requirements, making it a versatile and effective tool.
Overall, I highly recommend this software to individuals with ADHD looking for a reliable and user-friendly solution to help them stay focused and on track. It is a valuable resource that can help individuals with ADHD improve their productivity and organization, and I am confident that it will be a valuable addition to any ADHD management toolkit.

App is great, questionnaire at beginning is too long.

Clarify is great, it has helped me tremendously. But the questionnaire at the beginning should be the main indicator of whether or not whoever is using Clarify has ADHD. It is so long it took me 4 times to actually finish it (having to restart each time). There needs to be a back button also to redo your answers. But if you've started the quiz more than twice there should be a prompt that says "it looks like you've attempted this quiz 10 times before getting distracted so clearly you have ADHD. Let's jump right in and we'll get to those questions later."

Anyway, great app off the bat but likely will need to be tailor to your audience just a bit better.

No shame, no guilt.

Clarify helps you understand that we are different than others and suggests releasing the impulse to appear neurotypical. The executive function behaviors of NTs are natural for them but for neurodivergent people they are unstimulating and ineffective. If we use tools that work WITH our ADHD, instead of against our ADHD, we can be much more successful. I struggle with the shame and guilt of my executive disfunction and difficulty initiating tasks. Clarify helps me see I am different and I deserve to use different tools to help me do things my way.
I also suggest the books: ADD-Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life AND the Radical Guide for Women with ADHD. The Radical guide really shook my world and left me without shame and guilt. We deserve life to be a little easier.

Maybe the best app in the world

I am someone who needs a lot of help. A few days ago I started a fabulous account and quickly navigated to the additional apps that fabulous offers. I tryout new apps a lot always looking for something I can have quick access to that might help me. These apps are everything. It’s as if someone developed these apps with me in mind! Someone who needs help with their daily routine building themselves up from the bottom, daily coaching for my ADHD, identifying and overcoming trauma, and finding purpose in life! These are absolutely wonderful. When i realized that I only have a week trial in the trauma app last night my stomach was instantly in knots. I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever came across something this helpful to me in my life. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep accessing these wonderful tools through the year! To the creator of these apps. Thank you! 🙏🏻

ADHD all-star ✨

I am a person with clinical ADHD. I download all the apps, I try all the tricks and suggestions. I saw Clarify come across social media ads for weeks. I was having a horrible day and in complete overwhelm. I didn't want to download another app I wouldn't use. Something in me that day was so broken that I decided I had nothing to lose by trying it. I cried while I downloaded it, that was the state I was in. I have their sister app and was afraid I wasn't going to use this. I can't fully express how grateful I am that I did. The music they use, while you complete tasks, has a series of different sounds that keep several areas of the mind busy while you complete the task you set to do (iykyk). It also slowed me down enough to be present in the moment. I'm looking forward to growing with momemtum and being kinder to myself through this process. Huge shoutout and thank you to the developers who took the time to truly cater to the needs of their audience ♥️✨

Perspective! Oh and I am NOT robot- I am a real person!

I have been diagnosed with severe ADHD since I was a child, a lot of the time children grow out of it. I did not my ADHD symptoms became what I have been told more severe. I am under the care of doctor, take medication, and found exercise helps a lot. However the medication is designed to help with specific symptoms and as I see it does only apart of the work- as with anything I have to contribute to the cause.
Looking at the diagnoses I became discouraged and frustrated doubting myself and thinking the worst- “how can I fulfill my purpose with this problem?” I’ll just say I had a lot of doubt!
I heard about the this app app and thought what the do I have to lose? I am a very skeptical Individual. As time went on and i integrated Clarify into my routine, I didn’t notice the change but my framily/friends did! ADHD can be a SuperPower the symptoms can be managed and it begins with a change in perspective! Give it a try create a healthy routine and utilize this amazing tool daily .. step out of the stigma, the debilitating symptoms and accept yourself ADHD and all! Good day

Great motivation app

Just started using it but so far I think it’s great UPDATE: I was given a rapid response for my review which was a nice surprise. This truly has made me even more confident and excited to continue on using Clarify. It’s been very helpful and I can definitely see value spending money to continue on past my free trial period. Everyone who can benefit from what they have to offer should try the free version and see for yourself you have nothing to loose and so much to gain. Thank you again for creating Clarify and helping those like myself who are struggling to get it together. God bless the hands that are creating Clarify now and forever , amen! 🙏🏼

Only used it for a day, but don’t wanna stop.

I only had time to use it one time last week and the one day I did use it. I got so much done and I didn’t feel overwhelmed and stressed. I’m gonna continue using it and see if Clarify is truly gonna help improve my scheduling. it’s helping me learn so much about how my brain works as well. It makes scheduling, dare I say it, fun. I know if you’re reading this I wouldn’t believe me either but it’s true. If you don’t believe me, give it a try. If you don’t like it just cancel it. No skin off my nose if you like it or not, I’m just telling you it works for me. Doesn’t mean it work for you, but you’ll never know unless you try it.

Game changer

ADHD effects my everyday life. From being a habitually late person (because I can’t track time and always think there is more) to never being able to keep my place tidy no matter how hard I try (bc half the time spent is staring at the wall paralyzed not knowing where to start or task hopping and not completing anything) Clarify helps with it all. It instructs you to brain dump all your tasks, then you can rearrange them based on what order you wish to complete them, and you press the “deep work” button and it plays Lofi sounds with a relaxing image and a timer counting down (you can set any time limit but the standard is 30 min timer). There is a note section just below the timer that encourages you to jot down any distraction that catches you (this has been surprisingly helpful, who knew tracking your distractions would help you be more aware of them?). It also says the title of your task above the timer. This helps so much bc every time I look at my phone, it’s like someone reminding me of what I’m supposed to be doing. Pro tip: TURN ON YOUR NOTIFICATIONS FOR Clarify!!!!! I have plenty of apps on my phone that I download and never use. Allowing notifications is a daily reminder and motivator to open Clarify and take control of your life!

This app is an absolute scam. They charged me direct through my bank account, so I couldn't cancel the subscription through either Apple or Google. I have a paper trail of emails where they've supposedly cancelled my subscription, yet I continue to get charged at the source -- my bank account. I had my bank issue a block merchant request and I opted out of Mastercard's ABU program, which will no doubt have knock-on effects. The CEO Sami Ben Hassine is an absolute scammer. I can't wait to join the class action lawsuit.
