Did not work on the TV I need a remote for. The TV is a Sceptre LCD tv, not the smart version. The original remote can now only turn on and off the tv, and hust turn the volume up (not down). So I needed a replacement. So many other apps need a subscription! I’m willing to pay for an app that’s good. But a subscription? No way. I downloaded TVRemote because reviews mentioned it’s not asking for a sub.
Once I opened TVRemote , it asked permission to access the network to find devices. I allowed it. Unfortunately, it only scanned the smart tvs, and fire sticks we’re using (it did not see the apple TV). Since the TV I intend to use it for is not connected to the network, there’s no way I can use TVRemote. Please add in the description that it’s only for smart tv so it won’t waste people’s time. I will keep TVRemote , maybe someday I may have a use for it. Thanks for having the free app for me to try.

You can change it, the volume , the channel- etc . You don’t have to pay those ungodly fees most apps require and there’s NO ADS! . I downloaded over 20 applications before I found this one and i will never go back 🤣.

After looking downloading many different apps just to be able to turn on my tv, I've found the perfect one. Don't need to buy anything which was what i was looking for. Thank you people who invented TVRemote. Please don't change it to making people pay.

If you can get it to work with your tv then it is a must have over any other app for tv remote because unlike the other ones TVRemote is actually free without must have in-app purchases. It works all the time, it never disconnects. I use it every day. Never had a problem so far and iv been using for about a month.

But TVRemote is definitely worth it as of now its not asking for any money unlike those weekly payments apps and the connection was flawless with my hisense saved me a big headache dealing with a bad remote Update sep 30, 2023 Now app will not work soon as it connects to hisense tv it force stops TVRemote it was 5 stars when it worked

Update November 16 and it is working fine again for hisense

I never use my remote since I use Roku. When I connect my Bluetooth headphones to my TV, I had to grab the remote just to click YES. It was so frustrating that I searched for alternatives for my phone to click YES. Those other apps either made you wait for an ad or purchase a subscription for $8.00 a month. Then I found TVRemote and it does everything without fees. Thank you for TVRemote .

I’m making this short but let me say this is an amazing app. In TVRemote you don’t have to pay for the remote. Sometimes I want to watch tv and my remote is lost or it’s dead and I don’t have batteries and I have to buy them, I will definitely use TVRemote. Other apps would ask for money or something every time I would press a button. But thanks to TVRemote I don’t have to

Most remote apps want to charge you per week or per year. This remote app works wonderfully immediately connected to my TV. Don't have to be a tech person to set up. Works great when I lost my remote my grandson had misplaced it. It automatically scans all your smart TVs and lets you decide which one to connect you and starts working just like that.. I would rate it 10 stars if I could

TVRemote is one of the best apps out there , I lost my controller to my tv and ever since that I wasn’t able to find it but now that I have TVRemote it has saved a bunch of time , it also isn’t like the others apps asking for money all the time when you just press one button , it’s really good and I really recommend it if you don’t have a controller.

Thank you developer for being a decent human. I would gladly pay you a small fee for use of your app or to have additional feature like the ability to input text or change picture settings from TVRemote .

But I will continue using it because it is great.
I appreciate your work and decisions. Please keep making apps like this.

I personally think that this is the best app ever espacviky bc my remote is broken it gets the job done before I found TVRemote I couldn’t watch tv for so long like a year okay that’s a hyperbly but suriously this is he best app ever I can not explain why just try it out five stars all the way at this point 100 the one thing bad about it is you cant turn the tv on with it but no problem there is a button on the tv for that

I’ve downloaded several remotes that was supposed to be free for my tv this one was actually free and works perfectly I highly recommend this remote to anyone who has lost they remote or broke there remote or just want to have a extra remote this would be perfect for the job

After losing my bedroom remote I tried several remote apps from TVRemote Store. I usually do not leave reviews unless I am extremely disappointed or very impressed. Well I am blown away that not only is it 100% free with no annoying ads or telling you to upgrade so I am honestly surprised as you rarely see that anymore, they always h I have tried all the other so called free remotes and they have trials and pop ups. thank you for the best and easiest to use remote app!

So I ended up misplacing my original remote to navigate my TV during an important incoming call. Out of desperation I needed a remote app that would not charge me monthly fees or such until I am able to locate original remote.

Surprisingly, I came across this developer who does not seem to charge anything and to my amazement it works wonderfully! It has a section for volume control (even worked with sound bar set-up) and a universal cursor to fast forward, rewind or use to enter passwords and such. On top of that, there is a section on TVRemote where you can pull up all your TV apps and you select which app you want to use.

Pairing to the TV was very easy, which shocked me since I am not gadget savvy; took only seconds to pair.

I still have yet to find that remote but TVRemote works just fine! Highly recommend!

I love this you don’t have to buy anything and it doesn’t constantly nag you about anything or everything it’s very nice smooth but I would rather it have a couple more options. Just a quick tip for those who isn’t working tap multiple times if it says the device isn’t supported if it doesn’t work after three Taps then you should recommend in a rating to get it available. I love it. I was very upset with my remote broke and I couldn’t find a good app and tell him now I very much enjoyed this and I 10 out of 10 recommend it.

Honestly, I rarely write reviews. But I had to for this. This is the very best University Remote I’ve downloaded. I’ve downloaded many other but you were always forced to subscribe to which I ended up deleting TVRemote , but TVRemote is really completely free. It does have ads on the very bottom of TVRemote , but it doesn’t get in the way of you controlling it. It’s also not like the other apps where it has pop up badge and you have to wait for it to be over in order for you to use it again so if you’re gonna download one, download this one, you can add multiple TVs, and they are not any issues.

Great universal remote and it works free. Lost my remote my room don’t want to pay for another one definitely not worth paying for new one and other app I downloaded are expensive and want you to pay overpriced for a remote TVRemote is great . Five stars

My family keeps losing our tv remote and TVRemote is a lifesaver. For one it actually works and it doesn’t try to trick you into a stupid subscription service (seriously what idiot is gonna pay to use a remote app) in order to use TVRemote .

My dog chewed up the remote that came with my TV. You will not believe how many of these TV Remote apps want you to pay a monthly subscription of up to $15 ridiculous this one will let you use it without all that it’s perfect love it please don’t change a thing.

I have been looking for my remote for days on end and I didn’t want to buy a new remote controller nor pay monthly for a remote application which is more expensive, I came across this application and it just works like a controller I don’t see the difference but it’s free.

It works flawlessly with my LG tv. It is even free with a small ad in the bottom of the screen that does not interrupt TVRemote actions at all. I just wish TVRemote had like an optional pay to remove add feature so we could have the whole screen just for TVRemote . But in general, best remote app I’ve used so far.

This is great! It’s the only app that doesn’t require you to pay. The only I would say that’s annoying is that it takes a few seconds to connect and kicks you out sometimes. But I totally recommend cuz it’s great!

Works and is free, though ad-supported. Unfortunately, most of the other apps in this category charge outrageous subscription charges for a basic utility. TVRemote also happens to load and reconnect to my TV near instantly, better than two subscription apps I trialed.

My boyfriend’s TV remote suddenly stopped working and I was hoping to find a free remote control app without all the bells and whistles. This is PERFECT! All the apps and controls are there and it was so easy to connect to our Samsung. Did I mention it was FREE?? There’s a little ad at the bottom of the screen, but it doesn’t get in the way of anything. Many of the other apps offer a free trial, but then you have to pay like $7 a month for a freaking remote 🙄 This gets the job done until you can get another one, or you can stick with TVRemote all together.

Because it has no add no paying or anything it works like I wont it to be my TV remote broke like not working anymore. TVRemote has been good for me like it has no pay anything like it’s a good app right to your TV like if you like it to your TV to your TV like it really has been helping me since I’ve been able to watch my own TV like this is really been a good app. I never had any better, this is a five star review

Great app. My dogs like to take remotes and hide them. Between my kids and me constantly, we are playing find the remotes. More me losing them than kids. My husband is the finder, a job he is glad to give up. Works with all 6 smart TVs and one with a Roku. So no more looking for remotes. All are accounted for now, but I highly recommend downloading this universal remote. For some reason, now that we all have TVRemote installed on our phones, we don’t lose remotes. To be fair, my kids never lose their remotes. It’s mainly me and the dogs. Hope this review helps. Only have two of the same tv’s throughout the house and works on all.

There are a lot of remote apps, but this one actually does not need you to pay and that she can do stuff without me having to do anything you literally remote you can do it. You have enough, but you don’t wanna get it pick up your phone open TVRemote and just connect to your TV on your TV you can easily get to you can easily get to.

I always lose the remote so TVRemote has really been a blessing in disguise for my family. It’s really quite simple to use. Download TVRemote , link your TV and start watching.
I also showed my 70 year old mother how to download and use TVRemote . She has never been happier using what she likes to call, “new technology”.🤓

Best remote I’ve found, it’s free, works with many different brands, and is all in all the best remote I’ve found for free. The only thing I would change is sometimes it will say the tv is not compatible but has connected many times before so I have to re-download TVRemote and it works perfectly again. That and how quick it re-connects.

Would give it a 10 star rating if i could was a little skeptical of it at first. Been using it for a little over a month now. My dog ate the tv remote and it was 4 days tell payday so i was slightly annoyed to say the least. Absolutely love TVRemote got it on my personal phone the tablet kids have it on theirs as well the wife has even downloaded it. So much easier than the dog eating the remotes and having to buy 4 new ones every week. For the record dog is a pure breed black lab nothing is safe from the chewing.

I downloaded this in fury the other day when my kids lost the remote for the umpteenth time. I thought for sure I’d be allowed to use it once or twice before a in app purchase stopped me from continuing using it but so far so good! No ads and no ridiculous subscription to buy just to turn my tv off.

Only thing it cannot do, which is completely reasonable, is turn the tv on. It won’t connect until you power the tv on and luckily I have a set that still has a power button on the actual screen.

So when I lost my remote I was like wait I should get TVRemote because I can still use the tv with this so I downloaded TVRemote and I’m like wait it’s not working… it was not connected to my tv so when I got it connected it was working so well! TVRemote is not a scam at all I love it and now I use it all the time now. Whoever gets TVRemote I hope u enjoy it cause I absolutely love TVRemote so yea!🌹🌸🌺🏵

There’s this other app that you have to pay a premium to turn up your volume, this does it for free
also, my dogs keep on stealing my remote’s and this is the perfect job of replacing that, they haven’t stolen peoples phones since they were puppies they have grown, but not grown enough to not steal remotes, also having a baby as well that steals your remotes, it’s really annoying, but this solves all the problems except for when my baby steals my phone.

I think it’s amazing because it’s free, and also because you have all the apps right there and so let’s say you lost your controller(my case) then you can just install it for FREE unlike other apps

In conclusion I think we should have more apps like this one and not make everything “pay to win”

My physical tv remote died and a new one wouldn’t arrive until the next day. I found a couple apps that cost a lot of money, but this one is free and works perfectly! I really appreciate the devs making TVRemote subscription free and just putting ads in instead!

this is a really good app because it is free and it easily connects to your tv all the other apps you had to pay for but this is free and easy to connect to i highly recommend TVRemote if you need a remote for LG tv.
