literally didn't even get to finish the first phase of voice customization before it locks you out. your limited to a certain amount of button taps before you're unable to use it at all.

also 99¢ a WEEK is RIDICULOUS??? developers are out of their mind — even IF you get to experience PocketSinger at all — if they think people will pay that. the target demographic here doesn't have pockets like that- nor is that a fair payment model for the content a customer receives. please re-evaluate this whole situation.

also 1 star deserved for ai generated art on the loading screen. despicable.

Normally I don’t write reviews for apps but this is an example of how corporate greed ruins things. I used to use PocketSinger a lot around the time it first came out, but I stop a few months ago, I wanted to use it again as it was a good free alternative to vocaloid but it make you pay for a subscription to even use it. I could excuse the flaws when it was free but it is not worth paying for. TLDR: was good for free but trash now that you have to pay.

Why not just make the PocketSinger 3.99 if that’s what it costs to go beyond the title screen?

i used pocket singer a few months back, and i'm getting back into making oc's recently, so it seemed nice to redownload it. unfortunately you have to pay now, and from when i used it before i can say it's not very worth paying. it was good when it was free, but now it's just not worth it at all. if they make it free again or just use ads to get income i'll definitely change my review.

For some context i downloaded PocketSinger months ago for a school project. Despite it's flaws it was pretty standard until the whole subscription thing that basically makes the entire app unusable unless you pay $4 a month which to me it's not even worth it

I used PocketSinger back when it was free and it worked okay, although it was extremely buggy. (To the point it was barely usable.) Now it doesn't load even after deleting it, plus it it's a paid subscription based app now. I wouldn't have complained if it was free. It isn't worth the price.

PocketSinger was good before it had the subscription plan and honestly I wished that it would allow even limited access to PocketSinger because I had a lot of projects on there and I lost them now that PocketSinger is blocked behind a pay wall. I wouldn’t mind the subscription if there were different subscription plans, including a free one.

I would love to have an app like this, but paying a subscription of 3.99 plus tax daily? Yeah, no. PocketSinger is good by itself and everything its not bad at all and its very helpful and simple for when anyone would need it, the only thing really that makes PocketSinger so much worse is the subscription.. I refuse to waste money on a app that isn’t a necessity or anything.

The developers decided to lock PocketSinger behind a pay wall after it had been free for so long. I get that they need money, but we now don't even have access to the previous songs we've made/covered. I rather have an excessive amount of ads than having no access to it at all. The subscription is totally expensive as well. While it was free, it was very fun to use and experiment with. Shame that we have to pay an unreasonable price to use it now...

I remember before the subscription this was around 4.3 stars. Now look at it, a beautiful 1.

PocketSinger being paid is probably one of the worst updates on PocketSinger, cant you at least add some free features on here so people who can’t pay still have the opportunity to use PocketSinger ? It’s incredibly stupid how PocketSinger is paid, and people who had hundreds of projects on here can’t use PocketSinger anymore because of the fact that it’s PAID now!! You could’ve added ads onto PocketSinger so people can still use it without having to pay..
Also, notice how your reviews went LOW when you added the suscription? That really says a lot about it.

I really don’t know why PocketSinger converted to subscription based. I don’t mean to be rude but literally nobody wants to download PocketSinger looking at the rating. I suggest PocketSinger go back if you want anybody to ever download whatever you make again. It’s a FREE APP. If you wanted to force people to pay money in order to even use it, there would be a price tag on it PocketSinger to even download it. Do better, pocket singer. Do better.

PocketSinger was honestly SO much fun, and when it gave the warning that things would cost money soon, I figured it meant it could cost money to add more OCs, i was wrong. You can’t even get into PocketSinger without paying now. Like are you seriously gonna charge money for this? If you wanted to make this a paid app you should’ve done that in the first place, or at least made it simply additional paid features. I cant access any of my old projects or characters. It was a great app, fantastic app for beginners (like me) who don’t have enough to pay for software like Vocaloid. Even the 3D character design was fun! However before the subscription was added an announcement would show up and it SPECIFICALLY said that you could ONLY use the ones you ALREADY MADE and in order to make new oc’s you’d have to pay the subscription. However after the update it doesn’t let you even do anything, you’re just stuck on the same page asking you to pay without an X or cancel button. Severely disappointed that I no longer have access to the oc’s or my covers.

Oh and also the removal of the Male and Female choice was bad but the subscription is more important lol

PocketSinger has been an amazing alternative to what synth v used to be, which was a great alternative to vocaloid before becoming a professional program. the announcement for the subscription service said that you would still have access to your old custom voices and characters, but now you can't even use PocketSinger without a purchase, which i, and probably many other people, will not being paying for. i am aware that this is for longevity and success for PocketSinger and it's developers, but not even being able to use this FREE app and immediately being hit with a paywall right after opening it is distasteful and disappointing. i hope there will be future updates working out these issues. i'd be sad to see PocketSinger's downfall before it even got a proper chance to be appreciated.

It's not free anymore and requires a subscription, don't get it unless you're willing to pay.

I’m going to be clear - PocketSinger did its job. It was not the worst in the market, but it was far from the best.

It was difficult to tune, its 3d models were not great, and it struggled to pick up phonemes. The one feature other programs didn’t have was the ai oc voice.

i know they’re crying looking at their sales rn because they wanted to make money from the subscription, but it is, in fact, doing the complete opposite.

I completely understand needing to make money but what I don’t understand is making your app unusable. Please just add ads and lose the subscription. It’s a win-win, you make money and we get a amazing vocaloid app. Until then, may your 1.1 rating serve you well.

this app was honestly a good app for people who wanted to make voices/make songs until they added subscription. I mean we all get it, developers need to make money at some point. But don't expect a lot because a lot of people didn't wanna pay it. Also there's another problem where I'm stuck on the login screen. I can't use Apple to log in and the phone number method doesn't work.

I used PocketSinger like late late late 2022 but they made it cost money! I am NOT paying to use this, most words couldn't even be generated when I used this. I laugh at how fast the ratings plummeted when you guys made that update. I get you need to keep the lights on but at least add ads?! Before it costed money I was making a cover of showtime ruler and now I'll never finish because of the stupid fee!

I made the mistake of downloading this before reading any of the reviews and I quickly found out that PocketSinger is impossible to use if you can’t afford to pay for it. The only thing I could do was make a voice and character. You can’t even USE the voice unless you pay money. The whole point of PocketSinger is to use the voice, right? So why can’t I even use it??? Very disappointing. Y’all could’ve at least added ads instead of making PocketSinger completely useless.

I’m disappointed. I loved PocketSinger, is it worth paying for? No, it’s a 8/10 at it’s best. It’s far from perfect, and making it something I have to subscribe to with money? Absolutely not. I love PocketSinger, but I’m hoping that we just get ads instead of paying. When it was free I was always using it, never got bored. Now I have to pay for something like this. I could completely understand the fact that the developers need money, but I’m not going to waste money on THIS. Was super excited to try PocketSinger out just to find it’s subscription based. Instead of doing that, maybe just make PocketSinger paid? I would rather do a one time purchase than have my wallet drained every month. Please consider your userbase. Paywalling ALL features is scummy and I see why your app is failing now.

You had something good with PocketSinger, I could finally give my oc’s a voice, but now I can’t use PocketSinger because my oc’s voices are are behind a paywall even though I was able to make multiple voices for fee?? Y’all could have put ads in PocketSinger instead of going nuclear and making a free app, not free anymore :/

WHO thought it’d be a good idea to make PocketSinger (who’s primary users are people who are either kids or can’t afford vocaloid/a computer) available by premium only? You could’ve just made certain features only available my premium, or added ads into the game. Fix your system.

I loved fiddling and learning about using vocal synths with PocketSinger, but now that it’s locked behind a paywall, so are all of the wonderful avatars for OCs I’ve created, and their lovely voices! Very disheartened, very, very upset, would rather have banner ads than pay such a grand fee when I could just use something like Utau on PC, especially after I would have praised PocketSinger for being so high quality for being free, may your ratings suffer until you learn what a donations page or a kickstarter is

It makes zero sense on how you can’t use PocketSinger unless you get a subscription. Bring back the free version and just add Advertising

I had this linked to another Apple ID, it was a great app! But then, you added the stinky paywall… and from little research, in your 1.1. Update, you removed a once added paywall, or “subscription” at least lock SOME features like your trashy oc profile system or limit the amount of voices being able to be used by each oc, make new cool features, and THEN add a subscription with the unlock-able: “unlimited voice settings” or “adding profile picture”. Take advice from your past users this app and be a good app for once, you losers!! (๑>◡<๑)

I absolutely HATE the fact that it has to be paid now. I get it, they need money, but I'd rather be drowning in ads than having to be paying for PocketSinger. There's no way anyone is going to download it now that it is flooded with 1 star ratings, unless they remove the subscriptions.

I was thinking of trying to download and use this again, then saw that there was a paywall -_- why can’t you just put in ads instead of people having to pay? Yeah, it might get annoying, but it’d be better than having to pay to use it! 😒

When I first got PocketSinger , I was excited to make my own little songs using this. But the paywall makes me want to delete it. It’s saddening, really. Some people may not have enough money to even afford that. Instead of making a whole subscription-based plan, you should maybe limit the amount of ocs you can create while also letting people create songs for free. Do better.

PocketSinger was great a little while ago! Until they started the subscription method. I understand making a subscription but if you dont pay you cant do ANYTHING at that point you might as wel have made it a paid app. I think subscription should only give extra cool features and the main and basic stuff should be available for everyone. PocketSinger rating went from 4 to 1 stars just because they added a subscription.

The reason everyone liked PocketSinger is because it was free and worked on mobile devices, people only got it because it was a free alternative to vocaloid but now since the subscription is in place people don’t have access to these things anymore. If you remove the subscription and add ad’s people will download PocketSinger and use it instead of absolutely deleting its existence off their devices

I was completely shocked to see an update saying that the whole app wouldn’t be free.
I will be honest.
PocketSinger was the only app simply related to Vocaloid that I could use for tuning characters voices and make songs.
Making it free was heaven.
BUT WITH PAYING IS JUST:

so, don’t try to ruin it next time.
Try thinking some sort of other way to make money without it being affected to any of the ocs.

when im trying to add notes my character is mispronouncing the words i put even when i try to fix it it says incorrect pronunciation or something like that plus I keep trying to import a midi but it kicks me out of PocketSinger

This game sometimes dosent let ppl in by saying “connection lost” or something to do with Wi-Fi! I saw everybody using PocketSinger with no troubles.. but I don’t seem to not like it. Its horrible! To those who got in, please tell the people who can’t come into PocketSinger on how to get in!!

I love vocaloid and since I don’t I the things to use the vocaloid app I wanted to try this but when I tried to login with phone number the SMS would send and I reinstalled PocketSinger , waiting till the next day, everything and it wouldn’t send a SMS even though my SMS where on.

my thing is, yall have a whole app for pc that you have to PAY for, yall really don't need to charge us 3.99 if we wanna get on you app and make a lil song or something.

I enjoy the voices but while setting up PocketSinger on my iPhone 11, I cannot reach the buttons at the top!

I had so much fun on PocketSinger making voices and creating songs with them until the 1.3.0 update happened. It changed all of the voices I spent a long time mixing, and now they sound flimsy and can't hold or even hit notes that they used to. I greatly preferred how they were before the update.

PocketSinger is really good! I would definitely recommend, if I could even see what it has to offer. I was able to use PocketSinger before you guys added the account system, but now it’s just unplayable. I don’t have a phone number, and it won’t let me use an Apple ID. Usually apps would have an email or Google account system I could use to sign up, but PocketSinger doesn’t have that. If you could add those, I would love it! I would give this a higher rating, but what’s the point if I’m just speaking from what USED to happen?

Its a wonderful app that you can make covers of your favourite song too, even make your own. But every-time i make a song it either deletes half of the song after saving it 3 times before exiting the project or it deletes itself entirely like i never even made it! It gets really really disappointing after a while of spending 5 hours making a cover then coming back to it a few days later to see your project deleted half of its contents! Its really upsetting and has good potential, but it needs to be updated to fix this bug :((

It was amazing at first but then I spent an hour making something and then when I went to click done after checking it, my game froze and it deleted everything. I’m so upset cause I liked it a lot

Hey there! Just wanted to say PocketSinger is amazing !! But the problems I have is with the subscription. Honestly you could of just added some ads,the subscription will only cause you to possibly lose people getting your app. The reviews were way better before this update. I use to use it and loved it. I currently redownloaded it to retry it but only to be found with a subscription page.

I deleted PocketSinger and downloaded it back, losing all of my stuff since I wanted to just fix the login feature (deleting PocketSinger was totally on me I’m not complaining about that) but when I downloaded PocketSinger back and remade some voices, and when I went to try them they have very very poor audio quality and PocketSinger lagged very easily, a problem that was never there before

I understand the need of finance in maintaining PocketSinger but it is really dumb to make the whole thing blocked. Even if we can’t create new things, we should have access to our past workings, it will be really a huge loss for those who didn’t save their projects.

Medly actually refused to lower the price, too. But free chargers are not totally excluded and that app has a better development I have to say. Pocket Singer has lots of bugs and down sides, but it was still the best choice for iPad users, until payment required.

I feel sad seeing low star ratings, I understand that you’re having a difficult time, but the choice was 100% foolish.

I love PocketSinger but the only issue is that after I close and re open my app all my projects are gone and at first the ai wasn’t working I checked the next day which is today it worked and now suddenly it’s not working again and there’s also some issues with the models the clothes glitches good app though

I used to use PocketSinger to make lots of covers with my OC's several months ago. However, now that it's switched to a subscription service (screw that by the way), I am completely unable to use it. I am subscribed but every time I try to go into PocketSinger it says "No Valid Subscription!". I hate this thing please fix it I'm about to bash my head into a wall

So I use pocket singer to make my character sing and when I try to make the male character sing it just sing in high notes I got disappointed that it can’t sing in deep voice pls fix this 🙁

Many people have complained about the subscription and how it takes away from PocketSinger , and I entirely agree. I was excited since I’ve been wanting to find a free way to create voices for songs, yet was left quite saddened when it became unusable because I attempted to make a character. Genuinely could be great and hope there is an update in the making to just do ads or something, since many are just looking for free alternatives that they’re willing to suffer through ads for. Other than that, I have no problems from what I’ve been able to experience. Best of wishes!

I haven’t been able to use PocketSinger because I’ve been searching up how to use PocketSinger and you have to agree to the terms and policies thingys, but it’s not letting me agree to them and there’s no button where I can agree to them because I have an Iphone, i’m not sure if it’s the phone I have or PocketSinger itself but it won’t let me use it sooo.. yeah

So uhm before we had to sign in it was great for the most part but then when that happened I couldn’t login since I couldn’t use apple (since I’m below 13) and I don’t have a phone number (im on iPad) so it just make me sad since I can’t use this no more can you add a email address login please that would make my day

As much as I adore PocketSinger for helping me make voice claims for my characters, PocketSinger itself is limited in voice options, doesn’t allow for proper download and saving of any audio made, and is prone to crashing whenever I try to save an audio or video. I feel like these can be thankfully fixed with a proper bug fixing update, but other than bugs, I feel PocketSinger is solid overall.

ive been using PocketSinger for a little bit of time now and can completely agree its an amazing app to substitute for those who cant use the official vocaloid or utau. my only issue is the way certain words are pronounced, or the lack of certain pronunciations. I can’t find a way to get the ai to pronounce words that end with -ye or -ai. Ive attempted using both english and hiragana to fix the issue but nothing seemed to be working, and it kind of makes that part of my song cover sound off by using -ey or -ay instead. I’d love for this issue to get resolved for all of those song covers that need clear pronunciations for certain lyrics^^

Okay so, PocketSinger is great! Granted, I’ve only messed around with it for a day, but so far I’ve really enjoyed it. I only wish i could make them talk instead of singing all the time.
I get PocketSinger is probably really new in development, but it’s extremely hard to get your OC to talk rather than sing, and then it doesn’t even sound “right”.
While this song is called pocket SINGER, I would still really like to have seen a way to make my OCs talk. Kind of like Hatsune Miku, how she talks before preforming. HOWEVER. I Must say PocketSinger almost makes up for that with being able to customize how your character sounds, and how cool the in app models are! PocketSinger is absolutely amazing and I look forward to seeing it in later stages of development. Just.. please PLEASEEEE add a talking feature

I don’t know why it randomly started to do this, but now I cannot open PocketSinger . I’ve tried reinstalling it, offloading PocketSinger , etc. nothing worked. This was a decent app too😭

PocketSinger is amazing for producing vocals and the tuning comes across as much easier than an actual computer program. I love the voice customization especially, and the different settings for the pitches.

The only big issue I have is the saving. When you exit and save, it doesn’t always completely save the project. I spent probably 2-3 hours creating a 30-40 second cover, and after several exits and saves in between, it deleted half the project. Even after saving multiple times throughout the project. There isn’t any way to recover any of the lost data, I just have to refill in all that work.

Other than that, it’s a great tool for music, ESPECIALLY if you’re into vocaloid. The only reason I didn’t give this a 5 star was because of the project files deletion. Keep up the good work!!

When will usts be added in the future?

I personally really enjoy using this to make cover of songs but do I see this being use to compose original songs? Probably not. PocketSinger is actually pretty simple, especially when you figure out how midis work. Depending how you make the voice bank, you probably wouldn’t even have to use the pitch bend tool that often. And if you do, it’s very simple and often don’t have to do much other than pitching the end and beginning of the note up or down.

However making voice banks can get pretty tedious at times since the loading time to use the test songs are very long. That’s about my only pet peeve. The test songs are nice, but I’d also recommend a vocal scale as an audio to test the voice bank too. On the topic of voice banks, I hope that in the future another soft voice bank comes out — kind of like a whisper, as well as more male voice bank options (and potentially deeper pitches for males, but I haven’t messed around creating a male voice bank long enough).

Overall a 4/5, fun to use. It’s a bit of a learning curve at first, but once you get a good understanding it’s not too bad to use.

This game is really nice. I like the voices and I love how you can customize it. But there is one thing, there are very faulty glitches when you convert your own singing, and if you didn’t convert your own singing it would be a very long process making you song although the tutorial was sped up.

first off, it took me FOREVER to actually sign in. i had to try 5 times to get the sms to work, and that's wild. one or two is fine but 5 tries is kinda... anyways, i like the tuning, it's simple but sometimes it's annoying getting the pronunciations right.

here's a couple suggestions i have personally:

-having different singing types. some examples are screaming/yelling, or talking. talking would make it easier to create raps (not only for singing too, it would be fun making conversations with characters), and screaming/yelling would make it a lot more fun to create covers of rock songs. this could be placed under the EMOTION category, because currently the only thing added to emotion is singing volume.
-be able to directly duplicate projects. i wanted to create the chorus lyrics in a seperate project but when i tried to duplicate it, there was no option.
-be able to have a guest account. if somebody wants to try PocketSinger out, they can make a guest account. their projects probably wont be able to save though, so a warning would be very helpful.

overall, PocketSinger have great potential, but since it's so new it's bound to be overly simple with options.

So the reason i downloaded this was to make sekai songs/covers with them, It works really well! i love PocketSinger and how you can make your oc and customize the voice!

As a huge Vocaloid fan, PocketSinger is absolutely amazing. I’m really glad it exists. Without it, I would never have had the chance to cover and produce all of these songs.

I thought this is a great app but now you have to pay??? I know you have to make make money but you don't have to do this! Please make a way to use PocketSinger for free! Like have something like premium features but to use it for free you have to watch a few adds but listen I don't know what this company is going through and if you did this because you are low on money I am sorry but if not please make a way to play it for free again but other than that I love it! By the way if you're a person that wants PocketSinger you have to pay now if that's not already clear so uhh nice that's it!

i downloaded PocketSinger not expecting much out of it, but was pleasantly surprised! tuning is surprisingly easy and while the voice might sound choppy at times, it’s still all-in-all a steal!

however, the 3D model is very glitchy and there isn’t much customization, but that’s not the main point of PocketSinger anyway, so it’s fine!

There should be more preset songs, preset voices, and maybe some preset characters to use.

It’s really easy to use, and the customization is pretty well made. But I can’t delete projects. I would like it if someone would be able to tell me how:)

As a Pjsk oc/Idol oc/Band oc owner, I use PocketSinger a lot. Like every day a lot. It’s great for people beginning to tune with voice banks. Though there’s always some type of bug, I’m always able to fix it, so I’m speaking for myself here. For other people who can’t then that might deduct a star. But for me it’s a 5. Though, I logged in today and it said something about upgrading my account and going to the IM console, which I have no clue how to.

I haven’t got a chance to play it pops up with internet connection appears to be offline and I even restarted my device I’d there something wrong I’m doing?

Okay so PocketSinger is awesome no doubt!! But you have to pay, personally its fine with me but it also just sometimes shuts down. Like i was about to pay for the subscription but then it shut down? And it takes a little to load. But other than that its awesome! Just try to fix those!! :)

I really wish there was an update where you can just sing song in the oc could just sing what you were singing don’t forget it has to be treated really well

I honestly love PocketSinger . I’ve been wanting an app that you can make it sing for forever but whatever i’ve tried hasn’t worked or is too expensive. Yet again i love PocketSinger.

One thing is when pressing the play button it takes time to load so if your not a super patient person you’ll get annoyed having to wait a couple seconds to check the notes every time.

The last thing is i’m confused when people ask about the payment and kicking you out. I didn’t even pay a penny yet i’m able to use PocketSinger . I had access to everything on PocketSinger and i wasn’t asked to pay any money. That’s not an issue with PocketSinger it’s just i’m confused.

Dear pocket singer devs. I’m an apple user. I’ve used your app for a short time, and I loved it! When I got a notification for the upcoming update, I got so excited! However, the app tells me to download the update, but when I go to the store, it just has the “Open” button. When I open and try logging in, it tells me there are too many accounts and to update pocket singer. I tried reinstalling it and it didn’t work. If you could fix this issue of not being able to download it on apple, that would be appreciated. Thank you!
