So many fake 5 star reviews.

Danny, boy, wow. Scam? I just downloaded Fudget and my email is already being spammed by you. “2 million users” came from this app 1, an app that left you alone once you paid. The only difference between the this app 1 and 2 is that this app 1 was a one time fee to access the premium features, and now with v2, you gotta keep paying with a subscription and deal with spammy email and in app pop up practices. No one who paid for v1 has been given any compensation for what they paid for years ago. Years after grabbing our money for this app 1, dev kills Fudget and support and replaced with this app 2. Most users of Fudget aren’t new. Now dev expects us to pay a subscription to him as a smack in the face reminder of what scam he did. Fudget is trash anyways. Only reason we all used it was cuz you paid one time and it was yours and it was a simple app. It’s simply not worth this. Y’all don’t stick around for V3. Trust me.

Extortionate, failed promises

I had just a few operational suggestions for the original this app—not crazy bells and whistles or new functionalities, just simple fixes for things that were unintentionally coded to be inconvenient for the user. They could have been fixed with a simple update at any time, and the maker said they were being included in upcoming this app 2, which I took to mean 2.0, aka, an update. But, instead, it not only took years to come, he never bothered to do a single update, instead replacing my one-time purchase with a subscription (via a whole new app, killing support for the old one), that costs the same amount every year (and that’s AFTER the discount being so generously provided, for a mere three weeks, to people who thought they already paid for the product in full). In short, it’s an extortionate money grab. Not sure why I would trust this guy, even if I was ably to shrug off or rationalize the disregard he is treating paying customers with. I guess I will use the original this app until it no longer works, and then figure something else out that doesn’t involve getting played. Pass.

Very Buggy and minimal real updates

The refresh for Fudget is disappointing. It’s mostly a skin update with some tools that aren’t super useful. The calculator function for instance only lets you calculate between two values. If you want to add three numbers together…well you’re out of luck. Also the “Paid” function is kinda gimmicky. You still can’t run multiple totals or have goal oriented budgets inside Fudget . The subscription change is whatever imo. $15 to $20ish bucks a year is worth keeping track of my cash flow, but man this update lacks the feature updates and polish you’d expect. I hope the Dev continues to work on this and build in new features.

Disappointing update

The original this app was almost perfect. I still use it, despite the balance line within budgets no longer appearing at the bottom but oddly following your finger if you need to relocate transactions (an annoying glitch). This new version has a cluttered design. Too many options all squeezed into the frame. I like being able to leave a note on each entry, but it disappears if you email the file to yourself for permanent documentation. The sleek, spare elegance of the original is gone and sorely missed. Honestly, though, not having an option for lifetime subscription — which so many other budget apps offer — is the real deal breaker. Hopefully this app 3 won’t take another forever in getting here.

Could you add new feature / Long Time Fudget User

I’ve been a this app user for a long time. I like the one time payment when it first came out, I admire the guy back story, and I love the simplicity.

I don’t mind paying the subscription this time around because running these apps does cost time when trying to keep them up to date. I think the subscription is a little high but not high enough for me to walk away. I’m hoping the creator takes my money and uses it to add more features that keeps up with his original vision.

Given my adhd the simplicity helps me stay on track. The thing that annoys me the most about Fudget is that saving money is considered an expense and there is no way to turn this off. It’s distracting. I would like at best three options here. 1 keep it like it is. 2 consider setting a feature that excludes savings as an expense. This is important to me because my main focus is lowering my expenses and tracking my expenses. 3rd exclude and show how much you save for this month.

My last suggestion is to try to include a suggestions box in Fudget . I hate reviewing apps because I don’t care to swayed others and potentially hurt developers.

P.S I remembered the creator wanting something simple please don’t over power Fudget with all the features of the main stream apps like charts and gizmos. It is all distracting and Fudget is write on par with the sensation of physically writing things down.

This is my go-to budgeting app!

Hello! I don’t often leave reviews but I felt a need to in this case. I have used fidget for years, consistently and with no complaints. It is simple, quick to use, and simplifies finances that I am very good at complicating. 🤣 I just came to see if there was an update for me to download and noticed that there is a new subscription version. I groaned at first, because I have the older version of this app that I had already paid for, but when I saw some of the features I thought I would at least take a look at it. Put simply, it has all of the little things that I’d hoped to have added, and I’m very exciting at the prospect of a desktop version that syncs with my phone. I also noticed that if you already had an older paid version, Dan offers you a deal on signing up for the new version. For me, $15 (or $19 if you’re new) a year for Fudget that I use all the time is totally worth it. Why shouldn’t Dan get paid for something he’s created that’s so helpful?! Plus, it has a great name. 😘 Oh, AND you can use Dropbox to port over previous data in seconds. I was able to move all of my silly financial schemes that I’d already made to the new version in the blink of an eye. Thanks, Dan!

Can’t live without it

I’ve used this app for several years, and it’s only gotten better. It’s the only solution I’ve found that will allow you to move day by day and expense by expense through your life while keeping a running balance you can actually cross-reference with your bank balance. this app has taken the stress out of budgeting and works beautifully with my irregular income. This is a budgeting app for real life! And you don’t have to connect your financial accounts to make it work. It’s nice to actually see what’s coming instead of guessing!

Simple, yet effective and efficient but…

Been using this app for over two years. I began by just using the free version for two years first then finally moved to the full version.

I love how easy it is to add income and expenses. I also enjoy adding new budget easily by starring.

One thing I wish there was are different “starred” items in different folders. I want to star items in a different folder and have them be copied within that same folder too. Hope that makes sense.

Best for the basics of budgeting

This is the best budgeting app for doing basic budgeting. It’s exactly what I need. No annoying bank integrations or overly complicated categories etc. it lets you have full control over creating as many “pockets” as you want and basic subtracting from the total salary for each pocket. I really like being able to put in purchases manually. Best for those who want control and simplicity with their budgeting, similar to how it would be on paper or even excel.

The absolute best budgeting app.

I was a user of the original this app for a long time, and I love how it shows what is paid and what the total balance is. This specific feature is very useful, and Fudget overall is extremely easy to use. I deleted Fudget because it was glitching, and I was going to redownload it to see if that fixed it, but then I stumbled upon this app 2.0…
This has perfected the interface and I am very glad I found this. I highly recommend anyone at least try it to see for themselves.

Best Budgeting App!

this app is the budgeting app I’ve been looking for. It’s straightforward design is perfect for tracking expenses without the hassles that come with syncing accounts. The partials feature is so helpful. Say you allot yourself $300 to spend for the months. The partials feature lets you track how much of the $300 you’re spending, separate from the overall monthly spending. If you’re looking for a way to plan what you’re going to spend, and a way to account for it when it’s spent, the Fidget add is a great app to try. And- the customer service is superb!

I highly recommend it.

One of the biggest issues with finances is one person tracks it all. With this app my wife and I both access and add our expenses. Makes it easier to track. It also updates across both our devices, as well as my PC (given internet connectivity). Fudget is simple, and easy to use. My biggest issue with other apps/programs is their want to access my banking accounts. I don’t need to do that, and the balances stay as up to date as we keep it. Must have. For $12 a year, you don’t even notice the expense. Highly recommend.

Like the new look

I’ve been using the original this app app since its launch many years ago…to my surprise the old version was no longer in Fudget Store but a new version was available. I immediately downloaded it and fell for the new sleek look. My only issue is that I paid for the upgraded version in the old one and had the ability to change color themes. I would have to pay again for an upgraded account to get the same feature. As for the functionality, Fudget is to the point, it’s literally plus and minus. Great app!

The BEST no-frills budget app

This is, without exaggeration, the best budget app I’ve ever tried. I’ve used all the competitors and have paid subscriptions for numerous budgeting apps. None of them have worked for me.

But with this app everything is so intuitive and straightforward. For example, earlier today I thought “Hm, it’d be nice to be able to sort my monthly budgets into folders.” Lo and behold, you can easily sort budgets into folders and sub folders! You can even have a monthly budget with multiple subcategories, and each sub category is its own budget. The math is impressive as well; it only gives you the information you care about, no bells and whistles (and no ads!)

I’m extremely impressed. For the first time in my life, I was able to budget out an entire month AND stick to it. I’m endlessly grateful!

SO HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND FUDGET VERSION 2!!

I had noticed that the version 1 this app was getting buggy and I have been struggling to find something similar to version 1 this app. All of the other budget apps are so over complicated. I kept searching and checking out different apps and am elated to have found this 2nd version of this app. 🥳 I’ve read through the reviews and the developer’s replies and found out what happened to version 1. Version 2 is just as easy to use as the original app with quite a few useful upgrades. Thank you, Danny, for creating such a user friendly and affordable budgeting app. 😃

Request for changes to Starred items

I am new to this app (Pro) and really enjoy the features that help me budget. Still, it would be great to see an update for Starred items. I’d like to be able to star routine bills with amounts that are the same each month. Specifically adding starred items on more than one budget. Presently, this app says: “You have Starred Entries in another budget & Entries can only be Starred in one budget.” Also, while adding starred items to another budget, it would be nice to have the option of choosing the items I want. Rather than “choose 'Add Starred Items' or go to the Starred page and Unstar all Entries”.

Thanks.

Great simple app!

I have been a long-time user and had no idea Fuget 1 was removed from Fudget Store. I was looking for a very specific feature, the jump-to-date calendar. When Fuget popped up in Fudget search, I was confused because the icon was different from what I had. I'm not mad, though; I understand this version is a paid subscription, and I want to support the developer for all the years I’ve been able to manage my finances. This is a simple budgeting app that makes it easy to use and is straight to the point. I like that I know what my balance is per paycheck and to be able to plan out my finances for the year. I also like the new features.

OMG! YES

I have been using budget for years on my computer. Today I downloaded the this app app and I am going to gleefully pay the yearly subscription. This has made my life easier for years. The phone app seems to work wonderfully. I’m so excited. I can’t express how happy I am that I can now access everything on my phone and do it with ease. If you don’t have Fudget, do yourself a favor if you’d like to watch your budget and download the free trial check it out take some time to learn it and lead a calmer life and a way to pay your bills and watch your finance. Kudos to you, Danny. I hope you make $1 million. which is everyone’s goal but you deserve it. Thank you.

Have been waiting for years for this update!

Hands down the best budget app, love the simplicity. Many other apps complicate budgeting. Love the new redesign look of Fudget , looks more modern and very fluid. Previous app broke after iOS 16. Price is a little steep, but I understand why. Have not purchased yet since I’m still trying out Fudget , but will be purchasing. Something that is missing from the last app the is the ability to add expenses back to back, when you type out an expense in the previous app the Expense button could be pressed again and again kinda of like pressing enter. Now you have you have to press okay and then add another expense. Have not tried the desktop version but I see it as a plus to be able and seat down in your PC and go over your budgets.

Wonderful app

I downloaded and tried so many apps for budgeting and keeping track of my finances. Most of them were either too simple or not comprehensive enough but this app strikes the perfect balance and has been a real game changer in how I budget and track my income and spendings. I bought the Pro version so my husband could join along and now we're both on the same page regarding our joint accounts. Thank you, this app!
