I got Ideal in Beta a few months ago. I’ve enjoyed the UI, the lenient work policy, and enthusiastic support staff. This app is fantastic and deserves a chance: it is an interesting innovation with a well executed frontside. However, you CANNOT control what job notifications you receive. I have found no ability to increase range of notifications easily in app. This may seem like a minor nitpick, but unlike Uber or Lyft the demand for work is FAR lower than the supply of workers. Missing a notification for a job can mean straight up missing out on work. At the moment of this review, you can only “turn on” notifications. There is no “send me ALL job notifications” that i can now see on the app. There is no way for the user to modify the range at which they receive job notifications. This is a huge flaw for me. I enjoy every other aspect of Ideal. But this one feature frustrates me so much I cannot really recommend it in its current state. Increase the range for notifications, or better yet, allow for a user-controllable range for notifications based on zipcode (10-100 miles) would solve this issue for me and become an INSTANT 5 Stars. tldr; good app bad notifications
