The game concept is cool, the gameplay is moderately fun although there isn’t a whole Lotta variety. Well, there is a whole lot of is advertisements. There’s a banner across the bottom that never goes away, “free“ offers of upgrades that suddenly appear in the middle of play, and interrupting advertisements that take over the entire screen without warning. Oh, and there’s also the persistent offering of additional upgrades whenever you make an upgrade you’ve earned. Overall, it completely distracts from the game itself, and makes it a chore to play.
so I paid the $2.99 for the version without advertisements, which popped up conveniently in the middle of the screen. Once I finished the first level. As far as I can tell, the only thing that changed is the ads that randomly take over the entire screen. All the other advertising remains in the game and I am quite frankly infuriated.

I got this because it seemed fun—I really liked the idea of it, and decided that I’d treat myself by buying ads free after doing a couple levels. As soon as I bought the ads free, it played an ad upon selecting a power up. So I closed out of the app (maybe it didn’t register?) It now won’t load past the purple “rollic “ and “Dalek games” screen. I force closed out again, still no success. Repeat that a couple times. I’m talking five minutes spent on this loading screen. I deleted the app and redownloaded it: still no dice. I selected the app support button: web page never loaded. So. I guess 1 star review until I get a refund or the game works so I can actually play it. EDIT: well it started up after leaving the review, but I can’t restore my app purchases so there’s ads again.

TLDR: Many ads at every interaction point.
Unfortunately this game falls short of expectations to be a fun little game with good player engagement. It is an ad farm where the players are cattle like many of the F2P games on the App Store. This one has an unskippable advert available every time you get an upgrade if you want to gain a second upgrade. Even when you do not want a second upgrade it may give you an ad (70/30 chance) which is luckily skippable or a picture ad you need to close out of. However, you gain upgrades so often it becomes annoying. Past level 2 players begin having random prompts to upgrade by watching an ad, calling them “free upgrades”. Many of these games do this despite the upgrade not being free, since I need to watch a 30+ second unskippable ad to gain the upgrade. Anyways, basically they want you to not farm their advert click rate and watch rate and there is probably going to be some over-expensive pay to remove adverts IAP that eventually comes out soon. Avoid the game.
