Ads are fine but…

I’m used to ads. And after a few levels, it’s easy to figure out when there will be ads. Here’s where I have a problem though. After a level, it’s says “watch ad for 3x diamonds” after skipping a few times I found there is going to be an ad anyway, might as well get 30 diamonds instead of 10. BUT I DONT!! I watch the ad, it shows 30 at the bottom, but ONLY GIVES YOU 20!! I don’t know what the diamonds are for, nor do I even care. What I care about is the blatant LIE of it all. I’m not an idiot. I can do simple addition. Start with 206 diamonds. Add 30, that’s 236, not 226. Do better, guys.
As far as game play, though, it’s a great game. Simple but fun, colorful, and easy to play with just enough light challenge to keep it interesting. Honestly, if it wasn’t for the lying about the diamonds, I would give it 5 stars, even with the over abundance in ads.

Not enough game time; too much ad time

The actual game is good. But, more time is spent navigating the ads than playing the actual game. And, the “challenges” are not challenges at all. You just waste time flicking your finger against the screen to drag rubber bands around whatever it is that you’re going to eventually explode. There is no thought, no strategy, no mental activity involved. It would be better if that part was just animated, set to automatically happen after each puzzle. Finally, many of the ads default to their sound being on; there’s no opportunity to turn off the sound until it is too late. And, sometimes there is no option to turn off their sound.

Great concept, very flawed execution

The game itself is fun and relaxing, but it has a lot of problems. I’m seeing a lot of reviews with the same issues, so it’s pretty clear the developers are far more concerned with ad money than customer satisfaction. Even the ads are flawed… there are way too many between levels with no option to pay to stop them, but when you want to watch ads for a bonus or to access a challenge round none are available. And you can’t collect any bonuses without watching an ad.

More levels and much more difficult levels would be great, and the dragging bands after levels gets old FAST. It would be great to have an option to drag them all in one move.

Fixing those issues would definitely move FlexyRing up to five stars.

Enough with the ads!

This is the first app review I’ve ever written. But seeing how I deleted FlexyRing after only playing 10 levels, I felt I needed to warn others.

I get there’s revenue in ads - that seems to be the way of apps today. But at least let me play a few levels before each one. More time is spent waiting for an ad to finish than actual gameplay!

Each level is followed by an ad - and with no option to stop them, I gave up. I really like the game, but it’s truly not worth it.

The amount of of ads are insane

The game is fun! But you spend 5-10 seconds figuring out how the bands go and then anywhere from 30-45 seconds watching ads. Half the time you don’t have to watch the whole ad but then you have to hit the arrows 3 times then the X three times and deal with the screen changes. It’s almost not even worth playing. Every single round is interrupted by ads. It would be different if you could go a few rounds in between ads but it’s not. Sometimes my game will freeze and then go right into an ad.

By

Game ok, get rid of squeezing things

Or, make the rubber bands pop on the item automatically, if you really want to pop things in your game. It’s irritatingly repetitive to have to drag so many rubber bands around just to watch something pop.

The puzzle is fun. Mostly a matter of being observant so you don’t pop them off in the wrong order.

Several things

What happened to the sounds? Dragging those rings got old really quick. This game could’ve been done and thought out much better, but it looks like the developers took short cuts and got tired of brain storming. But that dragging of rings has really got to go; I couldn’t stand it anymore after doing it several times.

Ads galore

I like this game and love the concept, but the umber of ads is absolutely ridiculous. And there is no option to pay for no ads. And I agree with the reviewer about choosing to watch an add for more diamonds. No matter what you see an ad even if you opt to “maybe later.” Deleted FlexyRing after only 2 days.

By

Inappropriate ads

Love the game but very offended by the ads. This is a game that my kids played and I’m horrified that they are seeing ads of man divorcing ugly woman for beautiful woman! Please find a way to get more appropriate ads or don’t allow kids to download. Yes I approved the download but had no idea the ads would be so bad!

By

Not able to play long enough

This game could be a fun time waster.
But you spend more time watching commercials than playing the game. Not worth 20 seconds of play out of every minute. I deleted the game after 5 minutes of play. It drove me crazy how fast the commercials came.

By

Flexy Rings

This is a great little game, BUT, there are way to many ads. Every time you finish one game, there is an ad that’s last longer than the level itself. 1-1:30 minutes. I would gladly give 5 stars if not for the irritating ads.

By

Most ads of any game

This game has the potential for being great fun but you hardly get to play it is ad after ad after ad. Now the screen is frozen which I finally got unfrozen. Back to game of ads, I don’t mind the “optional” ones for more diamonds or points, but the rest and no way to get no ads are too much. I will now delete this game.

By

Love the game, but hate the stupid drag the rings thing.

I find the game itself fun. But having to drag the Flexy rings down to pop some stupid picture is incredibly stupid. If this game was directed toward kids it might be fine. Please give us the option of turning that stupidity off.

Ads

Way to many ads no options to pay for no ads slightly irritating when it goes to ad while playing

By

Stuffed with ads

This game has more ads than any game I’ve ever played. You literally spend more time watching ads, and putting rubber bands around things to squeeze them until they burst, than you do playing the game. Don’t waste your time with this one.

By

Fun, but too easy

Wish the puzzles were more challenging because these kind of brain teasers are my jam. Rubber band explosion is a waste of time, and there are too many ads for such short game play. Otherwise it’s a good game.

By

Great game. Too many ads

This game has great potential. However, I’m going to be forced to remove it based on too many ads. It’s really sad how they have an ad after every game.

By

Too many adds

I think this game would be fun IF you didn’t have to get hit with a barrage of ads to play. I truly think the main goal is to get you to watch more ads than any game out there. I’m over it. Again, would like it but omg can’t take it.

By

Too much down time

I just want to play. And then they have these ads and some extra things we have to do to be able to play. I’ll be deleting the game.

Fun Game. Very Relaxing

Play it Now !!!!

Paid for no ads

For a few days I didn’t have any ads. There’s an object at the end of every level. You have to finish a block puzzle and get rubber bands to go on whatever the current object is. When you get enough rubber bands on it the object bursts. Until now I didn’t have to watch an ad at this point. Now I can’t proceed in the game unless I watch an ad.

I caved in and watched the ad. Now that I’ve completed the level, I have to watch another ad to proceed. I’ve only been playing the game for a few days. Now the game is crashing every time I open it (even if I clear browser history and restart my device) and think I’m done.

I’m really regretting supporting the developer and am going to try to get a refund.

I half like it

I like untangling the rubber bands. If you tap the wrong band it locks the one near it and you just have to stretch it back to the peg to unlock it. It’s fun trying to solve it without getting any locks, but a few levels you have to do that to free a different band. That part of the game is fun. I don’t like the half where you use the collected bands to explode random objects. That’s just a lot of swiping down and bothers my wrist. I paid $2.99 to remove the ads which I feel is very reasonable. If I’m enjoying a game I like to pay some to support the developers. I deleted the game because of too much swiping.

Game is meh

This game is poorly developed. It’s kind of fun to play. Collecting diamonds is pointless because you cannot use them for anything at least in my experience playing the game. I think you are supposed to be able to use them but there is always an ad banner across the bottom of the screen that never goes away blocking the action to use them. I don’t mind ads that much but when it blocks me from using a feature of the game it’s pretty annoying. Also a turn off for this game is right here in FlexyRing Store while going through the positive reviews there are a lot of clearly fake reviews to boost take games rating.

I have a great time playing this game 😊

This is a great game to pass time. It has varying degrees of difficulty so it’s very enjoyable whenever you wish to sit down and play something on your phone for a while.

To all the others. Please only review the game itself. Don’t simply complain about ads. Ads are advertisements. Advertisements are commercials. Commercials is commerce and commerce is money. They need money to make the game so complaining about ads is just a waste of everyone’s time.

By

Love it but…..

I love the game but when you finish a level and it asks you to watch an ad to get double/triple rewards and there is a “no thank you” selection, why is there still a video when you don’t want to watch an ad?? If you are going to force ads on it then just give the rewards as well. Just irritating when games do this anymore!

By

Way Too Many Ads

Pretty fun game, and I get that there’s going to be some ads in games for extra things. But after paying for no ads, and skipping over ads for extra gems and whatever, I’m irritated at having to watch ads for EVERYTHING extra. Even the bonus levels, to unlock new rubber band types, etc. I paid for no ads, and I can go to each level without an ad between each one, but I’m not going to score y’all higher for greediness. Not cool.

By

Too Easy

It’s good as a mind numbing game. I did purchase the no ads version. I really dislike ads. I was hoping it would get harder but I’m past all the squeeze things and it’s still super easy. Plus I find the zipper puzzles to be offensive. I do not want to see a woman’s panties and bra. It irritates me greatly they put these puzzles in there.

By

90% of the game is ads.

For some reason after you finish clearing the bands you have to put them over a can or milk jug or watermelon etc. I don’t understand that. But the reason I rated one star is because a lot of the levels can be done pretty easily, but whether it takes you 10 seconds or 10 minutes (it won’t take you 10 minutes) you HAVE to watch an ad. EVERY level.

By

ADDS ADDS ADDS

WAY TOO MANY ADDS!!this game might be fun if it weren’t for the adds whether you want to watch it or not you are Forced to watch them. Way too many adds to even try to play? you get interrupted by a stupid add. So what is the point of trying to play this game? There is more adds than game itself?? No sense!! no point!! no way!! I’ve seen way too many adds already and I can’t even try to enjoy the game so IM DELETING GAME!!!!!!!

By

Could be a great game

This game count a great game, but the commercials have taken over. It’s pretty ridiculous. No option to get rid of them either. After every game there’s a commercial. If you want advancement, there’s a commercial. Please at least make an option to get rid of the commercials. How about a $0.99 price and we can enjoy the game?

By

Squeeze the….

I like the game very much and it is somewhat challenging but having to squeeze an item with the bands is a waste of time and effort and very annoying. Stick to a puzzle.
I also do not like getting notifications and not being able to disable these.

By

Inappropriate levels

This game is rated for 12+ but yet some of these levels are so inappropriate it’s not even funny. Please explain why in order to finish certain levels, I have to unzip the clothes on a lady to reveal her underwear or bra?? The rest of the game is fine…mundane and a great time waster but I can’t give more than one star bc of the blatant inappropriate and sexualized levels aimed at 12 year olds.

Got a response from developer : "Dear user, perhaps you haven’t discovered the game’s full potential. Play some more and you’ll find a whole world of exciting levels and interesting features. We regularly add a lot of new content to the game. We hope you’ll give us another chance!"

I don’t think the developers even read or comprehend what the reviews state. Why would I want to find more exciting levels and what other content are they gonna add? Taking off men’s clothing? This is still completely inappropriate and needs to be removed from FlexyRing Store.

Love the Untangle Bands but Hate the Popping

If FlexyRing was just the untangle the bands, I would give it a 10 out of 5 stars. Great graphics, immediate response to commands. But I hate the the popping of cans, etc. The popping part is extremely boring, and a repetitive motion that is rough on my hands. Then I have to watch endless adds for a game I will NEVER install. For these reasons I have deleted FlexyRing . If you ever get a paid version (with no adds), that is just the untangle part; I will be the first person in line to install it. Please do this!

By

What the …

The game as shone will get challenging at high levels so I was looking forward to hurrying through the lower levels.
But what the heck is going on with the after game play?!?! The part where you have to drop rings onto something until it bursts makes me think some group of developers liked popping pimples in their youth.
I’m deleting this in disgust!

Game yes, “challenge”, no

The actual game is fun and does make you pay attention… but that “rubber band challenge” is beyond obnoxious. After every level, there is a little container of rubber bands at the top center of your screen. When you win the level, an object appears in the middle of the screen. You finger swipe each individual rubber band from the container to the object. The bands squeeze the object, and when enough have been applied, the object bursts. This is incredibly boring and there is no point to it. There is no way to skip it. As you go up in levels, more and more rubber bands appear in the container. You have to swipe every single band from the container onto the object. One at a time. I do NOT want to swipe 72 freaking rubber bands, individually, half way down the screen, after every freaking level! And on top of that, the container is there while you are playing, and hides part of the playing field, so you can’t tell whether you should release that particular flexi band or not. Get rid of that stupid container, lose the ridiculous swiping. I am so aggravated by that nonsense that I am deleting. Sad, because I like the basic game, but that asinine swiping ruins it completely.
