I’m visiting from another country. Downloaded atbus . Created an account and bought a ticket! Easy! However the ticket never showed up. I can’t access it. I see the charge on my credit card, but still no ticket.
After logging out and back in, I see that it needs more account info from me. Including a tax code which I do not have as I am a foreigner. Maybe this is why my ticket is not showing up. Why would it let me buy a ticket if they need this info? What a waste of my time, money, and sanity.

Don’t waste your time. No way to buy ticket from the route planner. Payment for tickets fail. Route planner and ticket purchase place names don’t correlate. Fix your stuff Tuscany!

And buy the tickets ahead of time, validate before boarding, etc. but I have had to delete the entire app and reinstall it in order for my purchases to show up. Often get a “service unavailable” notice when I need to show my ticket. The worst app I’ve ever used, truly.

This company is absolutely awful. If you look on trust pilot they have numerous reviews of being a tourist trap.
My family and I boarded the bus in Siena we thought we had purchased the correct tickets for our trip back to Florence. The service people came on the bus. He told us that it was clear that the tickets were wrong. atbus allowed us to book tickets from Siena to Florence but apparently were wrong. He had zero interest in showing us how to purchase the tickets. Every time we used the bus we checked with the drivers to try and make sure we had the right tickets. They would either just wave us by or yell at us in Italian to get on the bus.
They fined us 60 euro per person for a total of three hundred dollars for an honest mistake
I have been to Italy three times and never had such an issue with public transit. It leaves a bad taste overall for the country and makes me less inclined to want to come back or spend money here.

Same complaints as everyone else. App is rated 1.5 stars for a reason… honestly impressive I don’t think I’ve ever seen an app rated this low. Crazy how the “developer” (in quotes because a monkey clearly made this application) still responds to every review over the last year and a half saying the same issues will be addressed in the next update.. they haven’t been and they won’t be.. and not being able to see if you paid and charging you for an extra ticket every time you attempt to reserve a fare AND not attempting to reimburse folks ESPECIALLY after fraudulently charging them $40+ EUROS A PERSON for not doing it correctly is hilarious. It’s made to be impossible and the ticket inspectors clearly target people with suitcases and similar folks that looks like tourists. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.. inspectors just chuckle when you express your discontent as well.. pretty sick human beings. You’d think a city that depends on tourism wouldn’t shoot itself in the foot by blatantly robbing its patrons. Money talks I guess!

atbus is incomplete. It cannot quickly let you identify your starting point to your destination and help you buy the necessary tickets. It’s limited choices makes it useless as an app to pay for the fare you need. Especially since it’s designed to support English, it does not take into account the unfamiliar region one is in and leaves it to the foreigner to figure which routes to buy tickets for - it’s an impossible task.

I bought two tickets on atbus, it occurred error and cannot show QRcode, my friend and myself use credit card instead, when I reopen atbus one of the ticket has shown in use though I never used it. Argued with customer service, cannot refund the error ticket, also the unused ticket cannot be refunded! Small amount of money but worst experience of using atbus ! So pathetic that transportation system use this kind of application.

The worst public transportation in florence. It is a scam do not use. We paid for our tickets and this ticket inspector tried to scam us saying we validated our tickets when they got on. But they got on 9:25ish and we got on 9:11 we had physical proof we validated them as we got on the bus. The girl was extremely rude and disrespectful!!! We were almost scammed 40 euros per person! A girl at the bus stop when the inspector forced us off felt sorry because she knew we were getting scammed.

Today I was trying to activate a single ticket, had 6 left from a multi fare ticket. Pressed the button, atbus looked like it was working but then it just returned back to the activation page like nothing happened. I checked to see if it had worked, it didn’t so I pressed again. Same thing happened. Pressed again, no response. A couple of more times I tried until I closed atbus and restarted it. When it opened I saw it had actually activated all my remaining tickets, which is amazing because I only chose a single ticket and when atbus works you can’t activate more tickets when a ticket is active.
First atbus almost got me arrested for showing wrong information and now it stole my money.
How hard is it to get this thing to work properly?

Like I’m going to whip out my credit card in front of SMN and start typing in all my data. If you offer ApplePay as an option, make sure it works. Worthless. Just drop a couple € in the machine and roll. 2002 tech. SMH

atbus worked fine for a couple of times. Then it started looting. I bought 8 tickets (€3.40x2), but those tickets didnot show up in atbus . I got looted easily by atbus . Worst app ever.

As of a few days ago, atbus has stopped showing bus times in the afternoon. Still works in the morning, but no bus times given for any stop at any time in the afternoon.

atbus. Is the only one that can be used. It worked once, this morning. I’ve contacted my bank, I’ve cleared cookies and cache, I’ve restarted, logged back in, deleted and reinstalled - absolutely no good. In fact, I don’t dare leave the hotel because I for sure won’t be able to get back. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

After buying tickets, atbus says validate ticket. But it doesn’t provide clear details how to validate the tickets. You need to click on ‘Use’ button to validate the ticket which can be clear instructions to user to click on ‘use’ button to validate before boarding the bus and then you need to select the city correctly. Based on gps location and moment, this can be automated. Every thing is manual in app and which makes user to make mistake and expect hefty fines when inspector blames and cashes on the passenger.

If your workers strike on a regular basis and you’re too cheap to pay them more or give them benefits, there’s no reason for me to use this. Especially if I can’t get home at 10:30pm and Uber is $60 because everyone’s trying to get home without your crappy transit system that barely works on atbus . Worst transit system I’ve ever tried to board.

atbus doesn’t reflect the correct stops, nor is it easy to use as some functions don’t work. For example, I can’t see or select stops from the map, and I also can’t search for a stop. It’s difficult to get accurate timetables.

atbus signs you out often. Leaving you trying to type in your email and password, hoping your phone connects, while you fumble with bags and try to board. Just look for a tobacco store.

atbus works relatively well, not many bugs from using so far. Some issues that need to be addressed.
1. Apple Pay not working on IPhone 13 Pro wih latest IOS
1b. Not failing the whole ticket purchase process and having to rebook the route when a payment method fails
2. Ability to purchase tickets from the route page. Being a tourist, using the buy ticket function can be extremely confusing and not very intuitive when trying to select the correct origin and destination
3. Better English translation

Downloaded and used atbus to find bus routes and buy buss passes while traveling through Italy, more specifically Florence/Tuscany and happy a good experience.
Downloading and creating an account was easy (you will need text messaging/SMS to verify when create an account).
I purchased my bus passes through atbus and and had some difficulty identifying the appropriate pass to buy, mostly due to being unfamiliar with the area, but that was resolved quickly with some research on Google. Used Apple Pay (connected to a Visa) to pay for the pass with no issue.
A feature that would be great would be the ability to search up your desired bus route and once found, buy the ticket(s) directly from the search.
Would also like to see better instructions on what to do with the buss pass QR Code after activating the pass in atbus .
Overall, atbus worked as intended and got my group buss passes without having to buy a physical ticket from the store. Saved me when I had to take a late night buss out of the Florence city center into a surrounding town where I was staying. User Experience with atbus could be better.
AWFUL This company is totally not inclusive and ready to anything to steal people. When I got on bus, it took me like 30 seconds to find a seat, in addition to the people and my leg problems walking, once seated I hurried to validate my tickets on the at bus application. 30 seconds later, a conductor came to told me very aggressively that our tickets were not valid because we apparently validated them when he got on the bus, I was just looking for a seat because I couldn't even stand without falling. tried to explain to him that I had only gone up a few seconds ago and that I still validating my title. He was very aggressive and forced me to pay 80 euros, even though I had paid for my ticket! Having a disability and needing to sit down before validating your ticket should not be punishable by a fine. Tottally SHAMEFULL! ( No help from "client service").
