I have tried to ‘create’ a template multiple times and the screen moves so fast, it picks one for you and then you can’t change it. Also, the ‘this app’ icon never shows up and does not sync with my iPhone wallet.

There’s a subscription for this, but the sub doesn’t provide any service. It’s just a feature gate. Don’t pay subs for things that don’t incur a monthly cost.

I only wanted the Apple wallet for my iPad, I couldn’t open Passbook without signing up for a subscription subscription when it was supposed to be a one charge

This is a very easy app to use, looks great and has lots of options, but it’s not compatible with many store membership cards. No trial time, and no lifetime purchase (although it says there is) is a definite NO for me. Deleting.

Google suggested Passbook indicating that it had the ability to accept PDF files, so basically it would convert a PDF to an acceptable Wallet file. NOT THE CASE.
I now know why there is no trial period or free version. It doesn’t do much for the fee charged!

Passbook crashes immediatley on trying to create a pass. There is no way to get support as the link to the website and support just shows a website with the name of the product and no links. The only way to get support is to complain directly to Apple. DO NOT BOTHER WITH Passbook!!!

I love the concept of using an app like this to reduce clutter in my physical wallet, but the overwhelming majority of loyalty and membership cards I have - like my library card for instance - are just not compatible. Maybe one day I’ll return once more barcode types are brought in.

Because name and card number are next to each other in every template I cannot use this. My name and card numbers are too many characters to fit on one line. There are no multi-line templates and no options to change font size. Too bad. It is a great concept, just not usable unless you have a really short name.

Also, it would be nice to have a flip side (front/back) option.

I’m really trying with Passbook just trying to add a card seems to be a challenge. Just trying to add Apple Pay seems to be another challenge. I’m following the instructions and I don’t seem to be getting anywhere. I will give it two days before I uninstall.

When you try to use the color picker to match colors of a logo, Passbook has slightly darken the entire pass image, so the colors don’t match up.

Can’t edit a pass in Passbook once it’s created. Have to start over. I understand that I have to delete the pass in Apple Wallet and re-add it, but I seriously can’t edit the pass in the pass-creation app? This is worth $15?

I am not clear on how Passbook will work if I will pay for it. It is very pretty and all, but I cannot edit the single pass I created. Now it requires payment. Oh well, next app.

What Passbook does, it does well. Unfortunately there aren’t enough templates to allow for true customization. It should take advantage of all available fields for customization allowing users to edit each and every information slot.

Something new

Used this to convert my Sundance QR codes into Apple Wallet tickets. Turned out very nicely!

At the moment, it only supports a limited amount of barcode types. Need support for EAN/UPC-A, etc.

I love having all of my information In my app wallet. If my physical wallet gets stolen, I’m still OK good thinking all of you people who do the thinking!

Passbook makes it very easy to create pkpass file. It would be even better, if I could save my own template. I am trying to use this for a small event registration. It would be great if I could save a template that I created based on the existing template and modify from it.

Where do I find them

THANK YOU for making Passbook without a bunch of micro transactions. I was able to get one set up for a nonprofit I work with so it will be a huge help. Great interface.
