I wanted to use it

Forfeit seems great, it really does. But I was turned off by the spelling and grammar errors on the opening screens explaining how it works. Maybe just too many experiences with scammers who can’t spell created that association in my head and it felt risky so I deleted it.
The 3 stars is because I haven’t used Forfeit so can’t really say about the functionality, but it definitely needs some cleanup. Also, if you made it compatible with the accessibility settings of iPhone that would be great. I’m low vision and the print was rather small.
Great concept though! Especially impressive all the different objective means of verification that don’t necessarily require a friend.

Not sure about the Forfeit points

I have probably tried every productivity app in the store. I have loved Forfeit and several folks I’ve shared it with regularly use it now. It allows you to stay accountable without having to recruit an accountability partner. One thing I dont like is in the new update. Now we have to use this app points instead money. Psychologically I dont think it has the same effect of the currency we actually use. Sure we can convert it, but I wish there was an option.

Lifesaver

If you have ADHD and/ or your sense of self accountability is nonexistent you need to download Forfeit. DO IT NOW before your life ends up in shambles because you’re always late everywhere. Actually having external accountability that I can’t brush off or ignore because money is on the line has been invaluable, all thanks to Forfeit. There’s plenty of verification methods which I appreciate and it’s actually checked by a human team. I mean yeah if you need to get verified and send a picture of yourself for proof it could feel a bit weird due to that, but there’s workarounds in order to make it work. And like I said there are many verification methods to use. The only thing is, the onus falls on you to get the work done and to actually stick to what you set up without cheating. That’s assuming you even set up forfeits for yourself in the first place to complete. Admittedly I still have trouble with not trying to find loopholes, but Forfeit , at least, is helping me stay on track with my goals much better than if I wasn’t using it at all. Haven’t been charged for anything in error either so Forfeit gets 5 stars

Life changing

I have ADHD. Time management and habit formation have always been my biggest challenges. Before this app, I tried every system, app, and “hack” you can think of to try to hold myself accountable. this app is the only thing that has worked for me. It’s helping me wake up early, complete my work tasks, go to bed on time, and cut my social media addiction. If you feel like you’ve tried everything for your executive dysfunction, this app is your answer.

Just what the doctor ordered!

I love using this app to help me with my goals. I love how easy it is to customize my goals and penalties. I love how I can extend a goal instead of having to start all over. This allows me to set short term goals that can potentially turn into long term goals. Checking in everyday helps me stay accountable. I feel hope again.

Really works

I have tried other accountability apps and they are so easy to cheat or wiggle out of the commitment. this app gives you the power to set how strict the enforcement is which means I can really make sure I complete the task. Since using it my workouts have doubled per week and my work output has really improved. Highly recommend you give it a go!

So much potential

This is a game changer. I just started using it and I’m imagining future possibilities - new integrations, ways of accountability, ability to donate to charity, etc. As someone who is very disciplined with money but not with some other things, this is a perfect way for me to lean into my existing financial discipline as a tool to bring some other habits under control.

Very motivating!

I’ve been struggling with keeping habits and Forfeit has made it really easy for me to stay focused on completing everything I set out for myself. From limiting my screen time on social media and entertainment apps to other simple habits, it’s been a game changer. I’m very strategic about the way I set up my forfeits to ensure that I can’t cheat my way out of them and I have no option but to complete them.

Also, brilliant payment model!! I don’t pay to use it, I only pay if I fail my goals :) The customer support is on point too! Definitely worth a shot if you haven’t tried it.

GAME CHANGER

Forfeit is life changing!! I have been using it for just a week now and already my daily habits have changed completely for the better. As a busy entrepreneur it can be hard to get myself out of bed early to get my work out in before my back to back meetings but since using Forfeit it’s been a piece of cake

Also since I am on zooms all day I appreciate the step minimum goal and now it’s been incredibly easy to reach it. I noticed how I had allowed myself to get lazy and Forfeit is keeping me in check!!

I tried accountability partners in the past or even working with a coach but it never seemed to work as well as Forfeit does due to the fact that people can sometimes let you off easy or they’re not following you around like Forfeit is!

Improved my life significantly

I am finally sticking to my workout and weekly unpleasant book-marketing goals! I’ve been a big fan of Beeminder for years - and this is like Beeminder but that integrates with your life a bit more easily. It complements Beeminder for me since I can’t really upload my main work related goals to Beeminder like I can with this app. I can’t wait to see it grow. I almost don’t feel bad on the rare occasions that I lose money because I want to help Forfeit .

No need for willpower when there’s money at stake

I’m someone who doesn’t have a lot of willpower to do stuff. I have a tendency to use if up on little things and then run out of energy when I need to get important work done. Forfeit is pretty much a way to get willpower out of the way when having to make decisions. When I go to work out, I don’t have to waffle over the decision, I just do it because I’ll lose ten bucks. Same for doing my chores or reading a book. The decision is pretty easy to make when there’s cash on the line. Having to not use up my willpower on small decisions has made it a lot easier to get real work done. I would recommend Forfeit to anyone who feels drained by having to choose to do things. I rely on Forfeit everyday to get things done, and I have no plans on stopping. The dev team is great and super responsive, and Forfeit is updated on the regular. Way less complicated than it’s competitors, too. Super easy to use, and super easy to get things done!

ADHD Folks 10/10

I have ADHD and can’t stay consistent/focus with studying and tasks switching. I use Forfeit every day for different tasks. From cleaning to studying to working out and to saving money. Really easy to use and if you can’t complete the this app on time, you can just communicate that in the chat which is great. They constantly update Forfeit to make it better and I’ve even downloaded other apps that I didn’t know of from the “integrations” section.

Exactly what I needed

As someone who struggles a lot with self-discipline issues, I found Forfeit to be the perfect solution. I’ve been using Forfeit for about 6 months and I realized that Forfeit helped me form a habit that I didn’t have before. Having people review your this app actually helps me stay more accountable and the fear of money being taken is a great motivator for me. Overall I wish I found Forfeit sooner and to anyone who struggles with staying motivated, this is your app!

1+ year user and eager to keep going!!

Forfeit has been my key to succeeding in uni, separating myself from perfectionism, and holding myself accountable for what I do. App and means of recording are simple yet powerful. The developers are eager to keep working on Forfeit and fulfill promises.

For every failed this app I’ve had to pay for, the success I’ve found by completing many more has definitely made up for it. The only times I dislike Forfeit is when I know it’s the only way I’ll get something done.

The only thing that has kept me on track

I’m great with certain habits and terrible with others. this app has changed the game for me after 40+ days of using it for my meditation and Duolingo goals—both areas I have failed to maintain consistency with prior to discovering Forfeit.

I’m now starting to add new habits and challenges and LOVE the customizable methods for verification and accountability.

For example, I just set up a this app where my chiropractor gets a text every day that I don’t upload a photo of me doing the neck and ankle exercises he gave me! It really works for me. I can’t believe there aren’t already thousands of reviews for Forfeit!!

It works for me!

I, like you, have many things I’d like to do. I have tried almost everything! However, Forfeit, this works! I suddenly have the energy, motivation, and follow thru to do the things I already want to do, but I keep not “having the time” or the ability to follow through. Forfeit is helping me with my goals, time management, and health goals. Forfeit has changed my life, brought me accountability (that I asked for!) and if you need some motivation or you are not following through with what you want to do, Forfeit has the ability to change your life too.
I am super excited for the implementation of Overlord.

Great app! One tweak though…

I found Forfeit through Reddit and I love it!! I started using it for new daily drawing habit and I have been so consistent because of Forfeit! My art has gotten better too! Forfeit is easy to use, has a clean interface, and it has a great instruction page when you start using Forfeit . My only recommendation is Forfeit having proof that they actually donate to charity. I think having proof of this on a FAQ page would be good for people who are skeptical about where their money would be going if they missed a day of habit tracking. Other than that, I’m going to continue using Forfeit and will start adding more habits to it! Thank you creators!!

Can't Function Without This App!!

Forfeit has made me the most productive I've ever been, and I'm not saying that lightly. I've used it for only a month and so far, I've been able to journal, write, and do my work consistently...and I actually look forward to doing these things because it's like a fun mini-challenge. I'm a college student whose has struggled with a severe lack of motivation for YEARS...I've always wanted to do things like learn, read, and write more, but I could never stick to these habits no matter how hard I tried. This is the only app that has been able to help me establish healthy habits. Anything I want to do now I just this app it (like writing this review 😂). I feel like I can finally achieve my dreams with Forfeit! I could only imagine how much different my life would have been if I found this sooner. If you consistently struggle to get things done but you know you want to change/improve your life, THIS is Forfeit for you!

Changed Who I Am

Forfeit. Wow. One of the best decisions I have ever made. I have never been this consistent with habits. Never in my life. There is magic in this. I do the Time Lapse feature and every single day, my positive habits get completed. I used to be so overwhelmed by habits or I would lose the initial spark. But Forfeit keeps my going. I 1000% recommend Forfeit.
