While Loomerly is very user friendly and I like it, I do have an issue with the color pallet. The colors are rather muddy and not a true representation of the color. For example, the red is not a true red. It’s more of a brown and adjusting the color only makes it a lighter or darker brown and there are already brown shades in the basic color pallet. This is just one example of the color pallet issue. Another issue is when creating a pattern and frying to make let say a customizes pink all of all of the existing patterns that have been made will change to that color pink. So the patterns I have created give an idea of what the finished piece will look like but not a true representation. And for the record it is not my iPad because I have downloaded cross stitch pattern designers and had no color pallet issue with those. Hoping for an update that will fix the color pallet problem. Reply to your answer. That doesn’t solve the problem. I have tried that. It just makes the color a lighter or darker muddy color. Also your updates have messed up some of my older patterns by adding extra rows to my earring patterns and making them off balance.

I use Loomerly for pattern building on all my more complicated brick to fringe earrings and I recommend it to a lot of people.

I will say that the word chart functionality could be better with one tweak. It doesn’t break apart the base line of the brick stitch from the rest, so when sharing patterns I gave to rewrite the breakdown to account for the two bead + line at where the fringe loops through.

I also wish there was an option to create your own bead colors in addition to the library. Not all my beads fit with the brands selected. I like there is a library to search but it isn’t comprehensive enough to not have an option to create your own. There isn’t functionality to create patterns that show bugle beads or larger or different shape beads in these types of earrings, that would be an excellent feature in the future.

Have recently started using Loomerly and it is pretty good so far. Only giving 3 stars, because there is still room for improvement, even for as good and user friendly as it already is. So far, I can only find 3 things I would change:

1) be able to add a reference/finished product photo to the pattern files.

2) be able to use different style beads in patterns such a bugles and tilas, with appropriate representation in the patterns.

3) be able to fully edit as well as create colors to the pallets. Right now, you can edit the descriptions and color representation, but you can’t change the actual title of the color (ex. 401, even edited, stays 401). You also can’t create colors, especially in the “generic” color pallet. Only one red and one grey, but can’t add or create lighter or darker shades. Also no ‘between colors’ such as teal, yellow-green, or blue-purples. The store that I get my beads from sells Miyukis, but some of the colors that I have aren’t represented (don’t know if they are supplemented with unknown brand, or what). So if I try to create a pallet with the colors that I own, it looks like I only have 15 colors, when I have well over 40. So, being able to create colors would be greatly beneficial.

Lots of room for improvements. When the picture is overlaid on the pattern, it would be nice to move it off to the side of the pattern. It also has a giant opaque square one and below the picture that sits over the beading area, distorting the beading area colors. Just annoying. Also would be nice to be able to have a more custom drop. Like the foundation is two rows, with a drop of 1 above that. Seems very geared around fringe earrings, but not much else. Lots of quirks, but at least it doesn’t crash and it’s super intuitive and easy to use.

Loomerly is fantastic if you are only doing 100% peyote, loom, brick and brick with fringe but there needs to an option for in the brick with fringe for square stitch. It needs to set in between the fringe and brick. Perhaps the next best improvement! Also need all of the Czech glass beads not just the Traditional Preciosa Ornela color line. There are a lot missing; please add. Perhaps an update on all color lines to validate all are present. Please and thank you. :)

I love Loomerly, however there are a few things that keep it from a full 5 stars. The Toho 11/0 bead inventory could be updated. Many colors are lacking. Also, would love to see the developers include a true mirror option: choose a section and have that flip over on it’s self. Otherwise, there are so many great possibilities with Loomerly and it’s a pleasure to use.

Hello I absolutely love Loomerly. It helps me so much in designing and creating beaded jewelry. I would very much appreciate it if the amount of fringe could be lengthened. I love to make very long shoulder duster earrings for special events. I’ve been making do with adding less design at the bottom, however, I would love free range. Thank you for always updating and making Loomerly better! You and the team are amazing !

I was hesitant to spend so much for an app, but I’m glad I did. It’s super easy to use, and within minutes I was able to start designing my own seed bead patterns. I’ve used it for about a dozen projects now with 8/0 and 11/0 beads and have been very happy with it. Worth every penny.
To the developer: Please add a palette for Toho 6/0 Round beads!

this app is exactly what I was looking for, a very easy to follow beading pattern maker.

It helps you bring your idea to life, with sizes, colors and types of beads you want to use. Erasing errors is simply a press of the button, editing orientation and size of your design.

You can draw anything or write names, etc. with ease. This is definitely a 5+ star program.

When I first found Loomerly, I bought it because it was the least clunky of the available apps. Since I bought it it just keeps getting better and better! I love working with Loomerly, and the enhancements they’ve made are fantastic! I always recommend this to all my beading friends.

I love Loomerly! It’s perfect for anyone working with these types of beads. It has a good variety of pattern layouts to choose from and you can actually design with the exact color codes for the beads. I also appreciate that the individual beads in the patterns are true to aspect ratio (a little wider than tall), it will give a more accurate depiction of your design. Would definitely recommend!

Loomerly is actually one of the best for beading. The interface and intuitiveness is so great.
The ability to swap out colors, build your own pallet from colors you already own and the image converter is just amazing. I love being able to create any size loom grid as well as decide how many rows you can have of brick stitch to fringe. I highly recommend.

This sure beats colored pencils and grid paper. I’ve tried most of the tools, copy and paste, erase, change color etc, easy to use. I’m looking for a way to use brick stitches and loom stitches in the same layout. I haven’t found it yet. Wish there was a bit more help available.
As I become more familiar I find new features, Creating color palettes for instance is brilliant.

I wish I had found Loomerly sooner. It’s user friendly and has 1,2, and 3 bead brickstitch pattern building. I love that I can create palettes by typing in the colors I have on hand. It’s also really helpful to be able to have a background image that you can fade out as needed if you are using one for reference. Lastly, I love that I can use Loomerly on multiple devices and air drop patterns. Just a few weeks in and I’ve created some of my favorite pieces of all time. My beading game has been significantly upgraded. 100% would recommend.

Loving Loomerly. Been using other vector apps to design, but found this and its awesome that all the bead colors can be easily searched! Only big wish is if there was an option to incorporate different drop heights into the brick stitch patterns as I often transition from 1 to 2 or even more in the designs I make. Is there a way to add that? Please and thank you!

When I recently started using my bead loom again, I thought I would need to build a tool to design my patterns, but I found Loomerly and it does more than I would have even tried to do. I am making hat bands for veterans representing their military ribbons. I needed Loomerly to allow wider patterns. I wrote the developer am email and he responded and within a few days it was updated. I love Loomerly.

My sister and I were just starting out last year learning how to bead. I tried a few apps and many sites to help with making and reading the patterns. I WISH I SAW THIS ONE FIRST!!! Amazing app, super easy and helpful. Customer services is outstanding and very quick for responding to even the simplest questions. Even with our time difference. If you are pondering whether or not this will help you, the answer is yes ;)

This is a great tool for beading design. It is intuitive and easy to use. I like the complete list of Myuki Delica colors to choose from to create custom color palettes for projects. I like to tinker with patterns and the last few designs I could not have done without this tool to help to visualize the result. There are a lot more features that I still need to explore but one of my other favorites is the ‘duplicate’ option that I use to easily copy my designs for creating pattern variations. This is definitely a winner!

I used to use a very expensive beading program back in the day before apps. I can’t believe that I only paid $25 for an app that has all the bells and whistles that my old program had for a mere fraction of the price. Not to mention the absolute ease of use. They literally walk you through everything so that even the basic user can create exactly what they want to. This is probably the best program I have ever used for beading and I’ve been doing this for over 20 years. Thank you for coming into my life ❤️

So far the best app I’ve found for creating beading patterns! Easy to use and understand. I hope that 2 and 3 drop brick options will be coming in the future, and maybe the ability to combine single/double/triple stitches in the same pattern to have more shape building options. Overall love it!
