4.7 out of 5
No refund

They don’t remind you that you need to cancel your subscription, in the policy it states you will be reminded you aren’t. Ripped off $80

Misleading

It’s just vocabulary words- the advertisement for Bright looks very different than what it actually is. Not worth it at all. They don’t even show you how to use the words in a sentence or the definition. Literally could learn more using google translate. Stick to Duolingo!

Charged me $80 ?

I never subscribed or signed up for anything. Deleted Bright and was charged $80 a couple weeks later.

Ad is misleading

Click bait app. Bright does not have any of the features described in the ad. It makes you think you will have the ability to learn words watching popular TV shows

You have to subscribe before accessing anything

I personally don’t like apps that force you subscribe before viewing, but just a heads up, you cannot access anything unless you pay

Very dissatisfied

After the trial. I signed up for a year, but the application says that my application has expired. There’s no one to get in contact with to resolve this issue. They do not have a phone number and they charged my credit card.

Not A Free App

They charge your apple account after a week of using - if you’re looking for a free app to learn Spanish, look elsewhere.

Bright also does not have an easy way to cancel a subscription - I had to reach out to their team of developers.

Not useful

Bright is a pain to use! I purchased a two month access but had limited access to the material! A total waste of money! I am to renew in Jan but Bright doesn’t even allow me to access my account today which is 5 days prior to the expiration date!!

Probably don’t trust it…

I would love to give it more stars but I don’t know anything about Bright . It made me put my credit card in before telling me anything about how it works. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 I understand that they need to make money and pay their costs of running but this is just suspicious.

Super buggy

It’s been helpful for vocab expansion, but it doesn’t work consistently. There have been so many times the audio doesn’t work or the flash card timer breaks. And it’s hella expensive, and they don’t offer refunds, so there’s that.

I reported the bug a few weeks ago, no update from the company.

Misleading Ad. Other apps are Better. Lazy developers.

What their ad shows is not what Bright is. It’s nothing. Honestly it’s just a flash card app they want you to pay a subscription for. It’s not worth it. Every other Spanish app I’ve used is leagues above this and for free or a comparable and almost always a better price. Don’t pay for this. Ever. And there are way better options than this.

Shouldn’t be a subscription

This is a pretty minor supplementary learning tool, definitely shouldn’t be a subscription. it isn’t reasonable to spend 8$ a month on top of all other subscriptions, just a money grab. there are lots of free resources that does exactly what this aims to do.

Another half thought out language app

It works well for random basic vocab words. It has a clever and user friendly method of asking you words one by one and when you know one it doesn't show it again and after 5 you don't know it groups them and drills them until you get it.

That said - so what? There are hundreds of language apps. This doesn't have an excellent vocab list and you can't set anything for the region you will be in.

Unlike the ad that had a visual aid of a person making the movement in the word- there are just words. Unlike the ad where you read along and a word pops up a translation- no you are just learning individual word after individual word.

For the love of learning- why doesn't an app make Bright like the frikin ad for once?? If that sells- obviously it's what people want!

Doesn’t sync progress across devices

My progress on my iPhone is way ahead of that of my iPad, no sync button

Very effective

I’ve learned so many words from Bright. Worth it .

Set up very well

Thank you

Bright language app

I love Bright with the exception of a Spanish keyboard for proper pronunciation and placement of the accents where needed! Other wise Bright is great!

Good App

This is a good app. The design and layout are fresh and simple. And the repetition in Bright is presented well.

Rate

It’s really good actually

Beginner easy

I feel like I am building the vocabulary easily!
